The Force Gurkha is now on sale priced at Rs 13.59 lakh (ex-showroom). What do you think of the price, and would you have one over a Thar?

    • @Bwopro
      @Bwopro 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

I think the looks are much worse then the thar but the gurkha has a locking differential which is good
But the gurkha it has a towing hitch which is useful idk why soo many indian cars dont have a towing hitch

15:11 Look at the puny Thar!
For those who are still complaining about the interiors, fancy features, power and refinement, this gurkha is light years ahead of it's predecessor. Let's give Force company their due credits for what they've improved. For kia, creta, and other fancy suv lovers this isn't in your league.

Force has maintained the classic design of Gurkha .. it's interiors.. having descent instrument cluster and MID. It's purely a off-roader suv not just a fancy looking suv. It's for them who are looking a pure off roader and are enthusiasts. Don't insult a legend by calling it after market..

Siddhesh, good that you brought up the 2.2 liter OM611 Benz engine that Force motors had moved to more than a decade ago. Pity though that they have returned to the boat anchor of a OM616 derivative engine while they should have moved to the OM646 or the OM651 engines by now. These engines are 2 liter units with aluminium heads.
No matter how good the bells & whistles are, Gurka is not going anywhere until they take the powerplant seriously.
Even their awesome bread&butter Traveller van is abused. What weighed 1.9 tons with the the OM611 engine now weighs more than 2.2 tons with this engine ‼️
Mediocre car but extraordinary review ‼️😉👏👏👏👏

I believe having some old school settings are good especially in an offroad vehicle,
If its automated, And if it does not respond well, u might get stuck there with an ALL POWERED OFFROADER!!

Loved the review : It's not for someone who's here for show off and loves fancy stuff too much , it's for those who wants to get the things done in Hardcore way easily . Damn! This thing is cool.Yes the power figures are mediocre and interior still needs improvement. But that's not it's strength . It's off road go anywhere attitude makes it a combination which is difficult to ignore.

Gurkha has come a long way, still miles to go
    1. The engine needs an upgrade, at least 120 HP
    2. Second-row captain seats should be swappable with front-facing bench seats (at dealer level)
    3. Rear AC vents or sliding window at the back
    4. Panoramic windows (since Gurkha is giving a commandeering position to the rear passengers)
    5. Rear windshield heater and wiper with spray (this veh is gonna get dirty)
    6. Single din, extra switch ports (overhead, driver side) for aftermarket fittings (no one is going to drive this as a stock car)
    7. Hooks to lock luggage nets in the boot
    8. Rear cabin light and speaker port
    9. OVRM fitted searchlight controlled from inside (you should feel you're hunting dinosaurs)
I hope someone from Force Motors is going through suggestions on the internet!

Force Motors ought to do a one-up on the Gurkha after studying the all new Ford Bronco and how many variants & options Ford has made available to the customer for it! Options I would've loved to choose from:-
    1) A sunroof (why not?)
    2) Soft top with 4 seats (the present engine would perform much better I
think, with a lighter vehicle and payload).
    3) Pick-up version with 4 seats.
All variants should've hazaar added options available (standard/aftermarket) like cattle guard, roof racks, rollover bars etc. and readily available so that the Gurkha becomes the go-to vehicle which can not only do long overland expeditions but also daily runs within the city (or from the suburbs) or occasional trips to a hill station etc., all without breaking a sweat and causing any problem to it's owners. Reliability & easily repairable/fixable by anyone with some knowledge of automobile repairs, should be the underpinning factor for the Gurkha. Anyway, it's good to know that Force Motors hasn't given up on the Gurkha and for die-hard Gurkha fans, that's good news. Hope to see many improvements and iterations in the future. Don't disappoint, FM ;)

The front grill looked very after market , they could have introduced another design for their alloy wheels & interior needs a serious upgrade to compete thar.

It's actually quite nice for an off-roader. The suspension is very absorbent and it doesn't judder like other off roaders do. However, 90kph is a good cruising speed.

Please give a feedback to force motors about its low ground clearance. Ground clearance should be improved. Force Kargo king ground clearance is 239 mm. Where as the hardcore off roader has only 205 mm.

As a Brit I love Land Rovers however their prices are far from what they use to be and also it’s just nice to see cars from other countries and see how they deal and tackle problems in their ow. Countries like affordability, performance, looks and cost (by affordability I mean how cheap is it to run ie insurance and mileage, cost is well just the cost of the car
