Concerning the windturbine: It actually has a voltage indicator built in that shows how much of the maximum capacity is reached. Indeed as you tested, it is basically maxed at 3 walls height above sealevel.
also you cant really avoid mama bear's attacks if she charges at you so its by far the toughest enemy in the game. i killed alpha on my first time while being almost out of arrows so i had to take them from its ass lmao
yeah mama bear mugs you too much. And Alpha I killed it after I figured out the way the fight worked. But died after Alpha did because the BS poison/acid ground it leaves behind.
I just sniped mama bear from afar with bow. When the arrow hits, she's does not retaliate at all lol. Though damn a lot of arrows were needed to take her down
@@mursyidnasir3976 i was trying to take my arrows back instead of going to craft more and paid my life for my greed lol, didnt want to lose materials for arrows (also didnt know the exact amount of them needed yet) and lost the entire inventory xD the fact that i thought she regenerates her health while eating berries only made everything harder
Mama bear is REALLY is to cheese though: you either get up on a cliff edge or just stand really far back and pelt her with arrows. The berries aren't even necessary.
On our first visit to Temperance, without having seen any spoilers, my 11 year old was giddy that we were able to get the snowmobile on the raft in a purpose built shed for it. Then we set sail. I kinda feel bad for laughing as the snowmobile stayed right where we parked it, even as the raft moved away. He wasn't happy.
When you hook something in the water, instead of dragging it all the way back, just hop in the water. You receive whatever’s hooked instantly and your hook.
2 myths unrelated to chapter 3 : Does wearing shark's head make you breathe longer underwater ? Does it take longer for the shark to respawn if you take only the meat and leave the head in the corpse (so don't despawn the body) ?
@@Jason-eh7kh I have heard that the recent update made it so that shark spawning timer begins on death and shark will spawn as soon as the body despawns (or the body despawns as soon as new shark spawns)
As I'm currently building a significantly large parkour course in creative mode, there are a few movement-based things that I found really interesting, two of the biggest being: Wall running - You can walk along a horizontal beam even if it was a wall on it, as long as you're still moving. It's tricky to pull off sometimes but can feel very nice if you nail it. Coyote jumping - This was probably in the game much earlier than the final chapter, but walking/running off of a platform from a height will allow you to jump in the air once during the fall. It's a strange and unconventional one, but interesting nevertheless.
That seems fishy. (Pun intended.) I mean, the nets capture what is floating in the water... so if the net can catch it, then you should be able to just grab it from the water. Unless, the upgraded nets dredge the ocean or something. Looking it up, it looks like it is just a capacity upgrade.

4:47 the damage from the machete/ titanium sword does deal higher dps (obviously), but the metal spear being fast is better since that makes it significantly easier to do things like beating the shark (or any enemy for that matte) damageless. I am not saying that it is impossible to beat enemies damageless with the machete or the sword, I'm just saying that the speed of the spear makes it far easier
Honestly, I think higher hit damage with longer cooldown would be better even if the myth were true and spear had better raw DPS. You generally don't get to sit in place and attack (like she did in the test), you have to spend some time moving around to dodge. That favors burst damage. I don't know how stuns (or attack cancels?) work, aside from the shark, so I'll have to take your word that the spear makes it easier.

I think what people mean when they say the metal spear is better and faster is that it actually attacks sooner than the machete or the sword, those two have an input delay, you click, about half a second passes and then the attack actually happens whereas the spears attack near instantly, almost guaranteeing a hit, think of it like the difference between hit-scan weapons and energy projectile weapons in a shooter game, yeah the projectile weapon does more damage on paper, but the hit-scan weapon is more consistant That's why I always go out of my way to keep a metal spear on standby for when I need to kill Bruce for the 100th time
the problem with the machete and swords is that, unlike the spear, there is a delay between when you swing and when it hits, so it's not less damage that's the problem, it's timing your hits correctly. Especially if you use it to stop the shark's charge attack
Hey Alidove The last anchor can be placed if certain TWO roof-floor are missing. Place it anywhere and keep in mind the metal part which forms the letter U 7:12 There, perfectly in the right direction for me to teach everyone. Looking from above, you can place this anchor if only the roof 1 and 3 are missing (anchor space is a 3x3 grade) edit: look what I did with a snowmobile on my friend's raft, 1 min video here in my channel
machete vs spear: if u trying to deal with your shark spear is still much easyer to use vs him. the instant stab of the spear consistantly gets you to stagger him and kill without getting hit yourself
Wrt the difficulty of boss fights, I personally consider the rhino shark fight to be by far the most difficult of the three as the underwater arena limits movement. Maybe I just need to git gud or whatever but I found it really difficult to get between the air points and into ramming position in time without having the rhino shark just pinball me to the other side of the room, let alone without dying. In comparison the mama bear fight was trivially easy for me to avoid and the alpha fight was just a matter of bringing healing salve and keeping moving.
I was legitimately upset when I found out the diving helmet wasn't a second tier diving equipment piece. I'm happy I googled it before I spent cubes on it. I wish they'd add second tier diving equipment.
also thought that diving helmet was a replacement for a bottle and that the fishing hat provided free bait but neither worked as expected (I hope that they change it eventually to work like that)
Another thing that I can confirm: If you collect decoration packages without opening them, you can get far more packages than there are unlockables. I haven't opened them in that world yet, though. Gotta keep my collection growing! (I'm at around 210)
Alpha has 620 to Mama Bear's 750. But you're trapped in Alpha's cage, while you can escape out of Mama Bear's roaming range and essentially cheese the win.
Myth Question! when planting strawberries in medium advanced plots, I would get 1 seed and 1 berry per harvest. It's been consistent for about 20-30 times. Is it just crazy RNG or are you likely to get seeds back from advanced plots?
I noticed that as I approached very close to 200 base units with just 2 engines..... BUT did not reach that level, I could not go against the current when approaching, the ranger station or trailer island. I was slowly losing ground on those islands. When I replace a few "bases" with collection nets, the problem was resolved.
The only Myth I know of regarding spears is they have a longer attack, so more, or it seems, leeway in dodging mechanics. Might be just me and not being able to get down the machetes swing times.
I'm 98% sure that this is true. It adds more variety to combat for different players as well, so the only weapon that you shouldn't ever really be using is the wooden spear
Honestly, the hardest time I had with bosses was the warehouse section with the multiple hyenas. I guess I wasn't as prepared as I could have been and I died. But after that, I came in stronger and even did Alpha one try but that warehouse section kept me up for a while lmao

Mama bear has a distance where she will run towards you but stop short and run back to the berries making her the easiest boss to kill if you have enough arrows. Also if you die after looting her and lose the loot she will respawn for you so you can collect the loot again.
Yeah, one year later and still today, you can still place the anchor and the engines in a one floor height room. To do this with ease just do what you said and build the engine or anchor and THEN place the floor above. :) works like a charm. :)
When I was at the last island I jumped in the hole with the alpha but all my tools broke in the battle before so I only had a spear it took me so long but I managed to do it in my first try without dying
At 8:02 the floor of your raft has the grain going all one direction but you have angles painted on what I assume are triangle floor pieces. How'd you get those aligned at all angles? O is it just that painting a triangle portion of a square is possible?
This is kind of a hidden mechanic that I wish they made more obvious, but if you press "z" while attempting to build a triangle foundation/floor, it mirrors the grain, allowing you to set everything in one direction
I found a cool bug in the game. If you have the new biofuel refiner selected and hold X to take back another item, it picks up the biofule refiner again, nothing special about it, but it's a cool fact, haha
I just got a machete, my spear broke and I had to switch to machete. I was horrified by how slow it is. It went straight to the trashcan once I’ve returned from the island. I guess it can be good to fight the shark when it bites your foundations, but definitely not when you are jumping around a bear.

- mama bear vs. Alpha, you can run away from mama bear or shoot her from and unreachable place making that fight trivial but can't do that with Alpha (as far as I know)
I think the titanium sword is the worst since it is only available at the end of the game making it almost useless. The spear gives you more distance from your target keeping you safer
I don't have the game (yet), so I have a few questions. Myth : Wool - Is wool that abundant? Is this an 'only put wool in' or is it more like 'if you have excess wool then it is the better option, but most of the time you'll actually probably be putting in lower grade stuff' ? I mean, if you only get a little wool here and there, and a decent supply of hinges to keep it running most of the time... yet, will still have some down time where you won't have spare wool or hinges to throw in, then what should I throw in? Or, will the supply of wool be such that with one recycler I should never bother throwing anything but wool in? Myth : Mill height - any numbers for only one or two walls high? Or, just tested sea level, three, and six, and left it at that?
I know the damage of the machete is better and faster overall, but I still prefer the spear just because I can't quite get the timing down on the machete
If you kill the shark and don't pick them up. They'll despawn at 4:50 and respawn in 9:40. The first Biofuel machine you unlock, will fill up with (2) heads of ANY kind.
They should’ve made a story location in Raft So you know those three scientists were on the radio tower and they said they were on the testing facility before it was blown up they should’ve made a map of the testing facility after it was blown up
so from experince from playing with my stupid friend group- we managed to get the snowmobile on our raft but than glitched it and it rode with us for quite awhile- however it did clip through most of our walls, got cought in our engines and than flew away dramatically after getting prepelled by our engines. so if you want your snowmobile for awhile- glitch the game :)
What speed does the windmill charge at 2 levels? Also does the charging speed change with the number of batteries charging? Also how much longer does the advanced battery last and does it take longer to charge?
I play raft but when I got in one day specifically the day after I did alpha it deleted my entire inventory and my alpha head and my rare striped lama pls fix redbeet
How do you get piles of hinges? I always build new crates ;) Does that mean I´m a hoarder??? For the recycler, I would also use clams, but that´s because it´s in my nature to collect them when diving - I guess I really am a horder, huh? The windmill height thing was new to me! It seems you found the cap too, at three levels, unless it is roughly the same time at two levels. Thanks for testing these myths so thoroughly! Great work!
Can you do a separate let’s play series along with the other projects you do? I after multiple failed attempts just got a nice setup with catching nets and advanced purifier and grill and smelter for the first time today and would be fun to have a let’s play up while playing. is there a limit for tamed animals? in the 2nd floor of my raft.. i have 7 llamas and 3 goats and when i went to temperance and saw 4 llamas in the ice, I went to get them all them explored the place. after i came back some of my old llamas disappeared
Do you have your animals on sea level? If so put them a floor higher sometimes the waves are glitchy and will take your animals I had this problem too and I found out that if you place them a floor higher they don't despawn I hope this helps
Have you tried to Google it? I found alot of things that could be the problem like to much stuff inside the animal pen or alot of lag if these aren't it then I don't know why they do that sorry
Idk about you but i can easily kill the shark with a spear without getting hit.. but i can't do the same with the machette, i think range is the issue there.
Arrows are literally the BEST weapon to use against anything. Why does everyone use machetes or spears? lol I can kill Mama bear and Alpha with out taking any damage with a bow. Unless I mess up and I'm not paying attention, that is. :) Bow + arrows > than any other weapon, even against Bruce. Not talking damage. I'm talking ease to hit and avoid being hit. Bears I can get a good 3 to 4 shots off, backing away, before they're even close enough to try to attack.
You may want to test it, but it seemed to me that using the diving helmet WITH oxygen also equipped made the oxygen drain much slower than without the diving helmet. Thanks for the great video!

We did that too but the snowmoblie just kind of vanished, threw our raft around and softlocked us by relieving us of our right to move our raft

there are air pockets all along the side of the room too with lots of good healing salve so it was kinda easy for me

Revisit the snowmobile idea and box it in before leaving temperance. See if you have any luck with keeping it.

I found a cool bug in the game. If you have the new biofuel refiner selected and hold X to take back another item, it picks up the biofule refiner again, nothing special about it, but it's a cool fact, haha
I just got a machete, my spear broke and I had to switch to machete. I was horrified by how slow it is. It went straight to the trashcan once I’ve returned from the island. I guess it can be good to fight the shark when it bites your foundations, but definitely not when you are jumping around a bear.
you can bring it with you until the island despawns, i tested it when the update came out, a wall has to stop it though

- mama bear vs. Alpha, you can run away from mama bear or shoot her from and unreachable place making that fight trivial but can't do that with Alpha (as far as I know)

I think the titanium sword is the worst since it is only available at the end of the game making it almost useless. The spear gives you more distance from your target keeping you safer
concerning the mama bear one, you can literally safe spot her and just kill her with arrows from far, making her the easiest boss in the game actually
I don't have the game (yet), so I have a few questions.
Myth : Wool - Is wool that abundant? Is this an 'only put wool in' or is it more like 'if you have excess wool then it is the better option, but most of the time you'll actually probably be putting in lower grade stuff' ? I mean, if you only get a little wool here and there, and a decent supply of hinges to keep it running most of the time... yet, will still have some down time where you won't have spare wool or hinges to throw in, then what should I throw in? Or, will the supply of wool be such that with one recycler I should never bother throwing anything but wool in?
Myth : Mill height - any numbers for only one or two walls high? Or, just tested sea level, three, and six, and left it at that?
by the time you get the recycler you have heaps of resources. So it doesn't matter.
I know the damage of the machete is better and faster overall, but I still prefer the spear just because I can't quite get the timing down on the machete
If you kill the shark and don't pick them up. They'll despawn at 4:50 and respawn in 9:40.
The first Biofuel machine you unlock, will fill up with (2) heads of ANY kind.

They should’ve made a story location in Raft So you know those three scientists were on the radio tower and they said they were on the testing facility before it was blown up they should’ve made a map of the testing facility after it was blown up
so from experince from playing with my stupid friend group- we managed to get the snowmobile on our raft but than glitched it and it rode with us for quite awhile- however it did clip through most of our walls, got cought in our engines and than flew away dramatically after getting prepelled by our engines. so if you want your snowmobile for awhile- glitch the game :)

one per animal just get a sprinkler and fuel it often and they will never die

For the recycler, I would also use clams, but that´s because it´s in my nature to collect them when diving - I guess I really am a horder, huh?
The windmill height thing was new to me! It seems you found the cap too, at three levels, unless it is roughly the same time at two levels.

I after multiple failed attempts just got a nice setup with catching nets and advanced purifier and grill and smelter for the first time today and would be fun to have a let’s play up while playing. Can you define what you mean by "Iceberg"? I've never heard of it aside from the kind of landmass that sunk the Titanic

is there a limit for tamed animals? in the 2nd floor of my raft.. i have 7 llamas and 3 goats and when i went to temperance and saw 4 llamas in the ice, I went to get them all them explored the place. after i came back some of my old llamas disappeared
Do you have your animals on sea level? If so put them a floor higher sometimes the waves are glitchy and will take your animals I had this problem too and I found out that if you place them a floor higher they don't despawn I hope this helps

Idk about you but i can easily kill the shark with a spear without getting hit.. but i can't do the same with the machette, i think range is the issue there.

Not as far as I can tell. Your best bet for early game seagull proofing is still placing plots under items, it seems
Arrows are literally the BEST weapon to use against anything. Why does everyone use machetes or spears? lol I can kill Mama bear and Alpha with out taking any damage with a bow. Unless I mess up and I'm not paying attention, that is. :) Bow + arrows > than any other weapon, even against Bruce. Not talking damage. I'm talking ease to hit and avoid being hit. Bears I can get a good 3 to 4 shots off, backing away, before they're even close enough to try to attack.
You may want to test it, but it seemed to me that using the diving helmet WITH oxygen also equipped made the oxygen drain much slower than without the diving helmet. Thanks for the great video!
