5:20 Wool is by far the best item to put into the Recycler, since you can just produce the reccource yourself over and over is already very good. But also you need only 2 wool per cube!
One thing I noticed about the windmill that might be worth looking more into is that the windmill's voltage meter is different depending how high it is on your raft. I have not tested its efficiency but the higher it is the higher the voltage. I thought that it was cool and worth sharing.
For me it's the windmill which means I need less honey, the biofuel refiner and tbh I quite like the new crop plots as I can squish em together a little bit better AND all my windows have flowerboxes now for roleplay purposes and usable farmland. My strawberries look lovely along my windows.🤗
You can revisit Tangoroa after traveling to another story island and loot a decent amount of titanium. I think I got 15 pieces last time I revisited it
If you go to the secret room in the ship container puzzle AND the hidden -20 elevator room you'll be able to farm a large amount of titanium i dunno how much but its big.
The windmill is number one: so many batteries recharged for free, yes please. Next is the new anchor (has a weird, order dependent building glitch for ceilings though). After that, I'd say the new biofuel refiner. The advanced smelter seems like a waste of space: I can fit 4 regular ones in the same area. I guess you save on planks but by the time you get it in the story I'm already throwing away planks in the recycler, so why not use them for smelting too. Oh, one of my favorite new features: craft from chest. I now have one of the large titanium chests filled with a few of each item in the game. When I need to craft something quickly I just open the chest and boom: ready to craft without digging through individual chests then having to put excess items back. You need to keep it stocked but it is so much more convenient.

Loved the video @Alidove! Can't wait for the next video girl! I think you might be able to Craft some Neat looking Galley's and Mess Halls with the Newer Stuff in Chapter 3. I can See myself trying to Build Either a Cimarron-class Fleet Oiler or a Liberty Ship in Tanker Configuration to Haul a good deal of Biofuel to Ships like the Buckley-class, Cannon-class or John C. Butler-class Destroyer Escorts or the Flower-class Corvettes or even the River-class Frigates. If you were to go with this idea, you might build a Naval Base at Each Large Island that you come across and have some Aristeaus-class Battle Damage Repair Ships to help with Repairs from "Bruce" or "Barbra" or "Jeremiah" or whatever you affectionately call the Shark in Raft or getting Boulder-Bombed by the Screecher. these Bases will likely have a Support Fleet including a Full Flotilla of 6 LCT Mark 5's (Landing Craft Tank), and maybe a pair of LST Mk. 2's (Landing Ship Tank) and/or a few Liberty and Victory Ships to Store Materials or Even House yourself. While these Bases may not necessarily be the Mulberry Harbors of the Normandy Landings on June 6th, 1944, they would make for a Nice little Addition to your Resume for Building stuff in game. Also, if you want to know the RGB Values for all the Paints used by the U.S. Navy in World War Two, just Look up Banks of the Susquehanna (Colors used by the U.S. Navy Bureau of Ships). I wish I could send you the Hyperlink, but TH-cam doesn't really like that too much LMAO!
by the way to everybody when placing the new anchor if you have to remove floors above it to place it when the anchor is placed you can just put back the floors above it (that's if you have the pillars still there)
One note about the advanced stationary anchor, for some ungodly reason it needs half a block of room above it, so placing it ina room that has 1 regular wall height to the cieling is a no go. I learned this the hardway on my recent playthrough and had to choose between butchering half my ship to put the new anchor in, or downloading a mod that let me place it ignoring this stupid restriciton. Buyer beware if your old anchor is in an inconvienent location
For the advanced plots. If you place plots on the walls the birds can get at them through the walls. I never place them on walls. You can though place them over grass plots so they get watered with the grass. You could do this with the old plots, but the grass growing through the planter boxes made a mess. The medium planter boxes fit nicely on squares and hold 2. You can not fit 2 medium on one square. The tree plot while still larger than a square is still MUCH smaller. Now I can have a walkway 2 wide and fit a row of trees and have plenty of room to walk. Titanium is by for the easiest to get from the Trader. Also considering the recycler And battery) blueprints are found in the first chapter means you have likely unlocked the 3rd tier before you really need that much. You can even get things like exploding power and other minerals as needed for VERRY reasonable amounts. 3 Cube and 1 Coin for 3 titanium is pretty good and having 3 stacks at one trader means you can make those advanced batteries pretty fast. This is the rough breakdown for the cost of a trash cube... 50 rocks, 30 plastic, palms, or feathers, 20 wood, 15 nails, rope, or seaweed, 12 vine goo, 10 scrap, sand or clay, 6 leather, 5 giant clam, dirt, or ore, 4 ingots, hinges, or bolts, 2.5 bricks, or 2 titanium ore or wool. Getting 5 red berries or 5 silver algae for 30 plastic is a steal. I run a small ship (57 squares) with one engine. It is 7x8 with a row of 9 nets in front (with 2 half blocks supporting the nets hanging past the sides. I still have a bedroom and bathroom and it is still roomy and easy to get around and only 2 stories too. I have one of everything (but the paint mixer). In the top 3x3 room with normal windowed walls, normal door, and palm leaf peeked roof. I put the sprinkler on one wall with a medium advanced planter box on each side. I have 6 grass plots to feed all 3 animals. I has 4 small advanced planter boxes (2 on each side) along the edge. The animals can still reach the grass to each. The door is in the middle across from the sprinkler. I am growing 8 flowers for 2 beehives, 4 potatoes, 4 beets, 4 watermelon and 4 pineapple. I had enough room on the side (being 7 wide) to fit a row 5 tree plots with a bee hive and bird's nest squeezed in mirrored on each side. It looks like a Tiki Hut with 2 totems stacked on each side of the door and the shark head on a plaque above the door. All the radar and engine controls are up front with a draw bridge on the left and the wind mill on the right. I have a 3x7 section up in front with a bedroom and desk with a fireplace on the left and a kitchen with a refrigerator full of finished recipes and a large storage of food for recipes and cooking as well as any cooked meat, plus empty bucks, bowls, and pitchers. The back has all the rest... the recycler, smelter, research desk, water pump, bio-fuel generator, bio-fuel tank, and engine in a horseshoe shape around the room. In the front part I have 12 medium storage on the walls and a couch and on the left I have a bathroom. Everything is lit and decorated too. There is a set of ladders kind if in a short hallway between the front and back of the boat (centered in the 3rd row back (not counting the nets in front)). Nothing is cramped, I have everything displayed including all the collectables you can display. It is easy to get around. The only thing I "skimped" on was using a ladder instead of stairs. I could probably fit one in if I ditched the couch and moved the storage over. I wish some of the furniture had more storage. The night stand only holds 4 things. I would like a dresser that held at least 10. The large storage is not as efficient as 4 medium storages stacked up, but it looks great as a pantry in the kitchen. A safe would be cool to store coins and cubes in. They should have let you buy a pool table too... if you could buy a piano... A small tackle box for fishing gear would be nice too. Most of all the people you find that unlock other playable characters say they can help you on you raft... but sadly they do not actually go to your raft. I want to see a mod that lets you have them on you boat and assign them to tasks... like changing batteries, fishing, emptying nets, water plants and grass (and scare away birds), trim the lama, milk the goats, and collect the eggs, filling the bio-fuel generator or engines, filling the recycler, cooking... There are three total. Since you should have to feed them just make them slower then you would be to make up for that and make you build "their" bed for them to spawn in and stay on your boat. With three of them they could save you a lot of time.
Good explanation i really think they should put more cosmetics like stepped down tiles that you could pour water into. I think that would be a great addition.
Oh, I noticed that the battery chargers charge them a little differently. the clean ones are slower and the old ones are faster. Or at least that's what it felt to me, since I noticed the batteries took longer to charge on the windmills. At least biofuel will be used for movement only for now on.

Another advantage to the advanced small and medium crop plots is the water. They still take 1 water even though there are more plants. Look forward to seeing the recipe guide
The advanced smelter feels kind of like a downgrade to me. By the time you're making it, wooden planks are no longer really a concern to acquire in bulk, and you can pretty easily have 4 simple smelters in the space of 1 advanced, so you're basically decreasing your output in terms of overall space. It just doesn't feel worth it to me. Lots of these new items just don't seem worth the cost and the space they take up. They might be adjusted in a future patch. Because decreasing the time it takes to smelt could absolutely make it worth building and taking up so much space.
@@HuyEnter sure you can. Make 2 side by side 1/2 walls, and a floor above each. 2 smelters below, 2 above. People have been 1/2 wall stacking things like this for as long as I've been playing the game (about a year). It may be a tiny bit higher and wider, but smelting 33% more material is well worth that extra space.
@@HuyEnter working with 1/2 walls can do some incredible things for making the most of your space on a raft for those of us who like things compact and efficient. Some of the new things like the electric smelter and windmill are not compact and sometimes not as efficient as what we already had
@@Sumguyinavan_ Yeah but I believe it depend on you care about convenience or efficient. If you actually care about ingot output (efficient), 4 normal Smelters is better. But if you care about convenience and don't always smelt ore, Electric Smelter is better for that.
You put water melon in the biofuel refiner and it´s much better, also with the crop plots, the advanced middle are much better, I use them to grow the melons for biofuel with sprinkler. You can only use 6 big plots with one sprinkler, but 8 with advanced.
To be fair to the tilapia, if the world flooded with sea water, it stands to reason that for fresh water fish it would be adapt or die since the rivers and lakes they make their home in would also be flooded. Maybe the tilapia is just more adaptable then other fish, or perhaps there exist fresh water currents within the ocean that never fully mixed with the seawater allowing some fresh water fish to survive.
for the recycler, just horde llamas. it only takes two wool to make one cube. i have ten llamas so i can get five cubes every five minutes if i stay on top of it
maybe its a stupid question, but whats the use of the grill once you have the cooking station? The soup recipie with 4 potatoes carrys my food needs completely once unlocked.
The only thing I see missing is how and or when do we get the blueprints for all of the new machines, I know the trader has the crop plots. Any info would be most helpful, thanks.

I believe the difference bw the Large Crop Plot and the Advanced Large Crop Plot is that the new one grows bigger trees with maybe better harvest but I have not tested it yet ..... anyhow this is what is suppose to do 😁
Ngl I was really hoping that the medium and large advanced crop plots would give a better, if not guaranteed chance of getting back seeds when harvesting, otherwise they’re aren’t that much of an upgrade from the simple ones (I’m really looking at you, advanced large plot.)
I would have liked to see electric engines, and maybe a way to network the power so you didn't have to run the batteries around, but I guess the player needs something to keep them moving. Although what I'm really disappointed in is that I don't get my glass jars back when I dump the honey into the Biofuel machines.
Me and some friends are replaying the game from the start cuz some of us have not played chapter 2 yet and we are trying to make Noah's ark. Any good tips for mass farms that can be used with the sprinkler?

The issue with most the electric items is the fact that their wood counter parts usually only take up the same space, and wood is so abundant and at the late stage in the game you are at when you get them it's easier to just use wood. Electric grill is nice with the added cooking slots, thou at the late stage in the game you get it you most likely use the cooking pot only as cooked food on the grills is basically useless. Advanced smelter takes up sooooo much room, it actually takes the same space as 3 smelters tightly lined up together, plus the extra space above that it takes, not really useful. I do like the biofuel refiner as it's a nice addition to not need to manually add more biofuel constantly into the system. Wind turbine literally makes the gas generators useless and now I have way too much bio fuel but I do like the ease of it. Also just digging up boxes from islands you'll get tons of Titanium, I have an entire chest full almost and now I'm throwing all extra metals into the recycler because I have chests full
I’m very disappointed that the new anchor doesn’t fit under a “1” tall wall. My old anchor is right below my 2nd deck controls so I previously could reach to lower it from my sail, etc. by leaving 1 triangle piece missing. The new anchor doesn’t fit in the same space it seems to be too tall requiring 1.5 walls. I wasted all that titanium too.

Sorry I didn't see your reply! It depends on the blueprint. Only the recycler is at a previous story location (Radio Tower) and the rest are in the new places
the trading posts are way too op i managed to get over 100 titanium ingots before i even reached caravan town (thats where u unlock the metal detector blueprint) titanium has become way less rare
The electric grill and the electric water purifiers with the water tank is good. The electric grill lets you cook 6 small and medium items at a time and 2 large fish at a time. And since you will have the windmill by this time batteries are not a problem recharging. However, the electric smelter and large chests are a waste of resources. For the electric smelter. 4 regular smelters will do a better job and take up the same space as 1 electric smelter. And by this time, you should already have 4 or more smelters. As for the large storage. 2 medium storages have the same storage space as 1 large storage. The fun thing is that 8 medium storages can take up the same space as 1 large storage (if you place them right) and they give you much more storage space.
It fits in 3x3x2. You'll need to destroy your ceiling above it, then place the anchor, then replace the ceiling. It's annoying but it works. I had to do this in my main playthrough and my entire bridge was directly above the anchor, so I had to pick up everything first.
Its awesome they added all that stuff in but its kind of pointless. once you beat the game there's no reason to keep going and using the new stuff you just learned...

I sail between Tangoroa and Caravan Town, one place I get titanium and the other to get food and random resources INCLUDING biofuel.
i tried to travel between tangaroa and caravan but the loots did not respawn. How far along should I travel before coming back to respawn the loot?

Advanced crop plots are great... they finally ensure I get enough seeds back so that I don't constantly have to grab more seeds from islands.

4:20 use chicken eggs or heads for biofuel. four eggs pretty much fills up the normal bin and one head of any kind will completely fill it up.

Use wool for cubes, they are equal to titanium
Wool is the best for the recycler. Same value as titanium, and very farmable (I’ve got six llama on board and I’m swimming in cubes).

People have been 1/2 wall stacking things like this for as long as I've been playing the game (about a year). It may be a tiny bit higher and wider, but smelting 33% more material is well worth that extra space.

@@HuyEnter working with 1/2 walls can do some incredible things for making the most of your space on a raft for those of us who like things compact and efficient.
Some of the new things like the electric smelter and windmill are not compact and sometimes not as efficient as what we already had
@@Sumguyinavan_ Yeah but I believe it depend on you care about convenience or efficient. If you actually care about ingot output (efficient), 4 normal Smelters is better. But if you care about convenience and don't always smelt ore, Electric Smelter is better for that.
You put water melon in the biofuel refiner and it´s much better, also with the crop plots, the advanced middle are much better, I use them to grow the melons for biofuel with sprinkler. You can only use 6 big plots with one sprinkler, but 8 with advanced.
Or put any trophey head in, i wonder if the rhino shark would work...
To be fair to the tilapia, if the world flooded with sea water, it stands to reason that for fresh water fish it would be adapt or die since the rivers and lakes they make their home in would also be flooded. Maybe the tilapia is just more adaptable then other fish, or perhaps there exist fresh water currents within the ocean that never fully mixed with the seawater allowing some fresh water fish to survive.
The windmill gets faster if you put it higher
I wish the advanced large cropplot will allow you to plant 2 trees.
for the recycler, just horde llamas. it only takes two wool to make one cube. i have ten llamas so i can get five cubes every five minutes if i stay on top of it
maybe its a stupid question, but whats the use of the grill once you have the cooking station?
The soup recipie with 4 potatoes carrys my food needs completely once unlocked.
The only thing I see missing is how and or when do we get the blueprints for all of the new machines, I know the trader has the crop plots. Any info would be most helpful, thanks.

I believe the difference bw the Large Crop Plot and the Advanced Large Crop Plot is that the new one grows bigger trees with maybe better harvest but I have not tested it yet ..... anyhow this is what is suppose to do 😁

Ngl I was really hoping that the medium and large advanced crop plots would give a better, if not guaranteed chance of getting back seeds when harvesting, otherwise they’re aren’t that much of an upgrade from the simple ones (I’m really looking at you, advanced large plot.)
I would have liked to see electric engines, and maybe a way to network the power so you didn't have to run the batteries around, but I guess the player needs something to keep them moving.
Although what I'm really disappointed in is that I don't get my glass jars back when I dump the honey into the Biofuel machines.

The issue with most the electric items is the fact that their wood counter parts usually only take up the same space, and wood is so abundant and at the late stage in the game you are at when you get them it's easier to just use wood. Electric grill is nice with the added cooking slots, thou at the late stage in the game you get it you most likely use the cooking pot only as cooked food on the grills is basically useless. Advanced smelter takes up sooooo much room, it actually takes the same space as 3 smelters tightly lined up together, plus the extra space above that it takes, not really useful.
I do like the biofuel refiner as it's a nice addition to not need to manually add more biofuel constantly into the system. Wind turbine literally makes the gas generators useless and now I have way too much bio fuel but I do like the ease of it.
Also just digging up boxes from islands you'll get tons of Titanium, I have an entire chest full almost and now I'm throwing all extra metals into the recycler because I have chests full
I hope that they would have given us a bowl which doesn’t get used up for soup

Sadly, no. It can only recycle raw materials.
I’m very disappointed that the new anchor doesn’t fit under a “1” tall wall. My old anchor is right below my 2nd deck controls so I previously could reach to lower it from my sail, etc. by leaving 1 triangle piece missing. The new anchor doesn’t fit in the same space it seems to be too tall requiring 1.5 walls. I wasted all that titanium too.
You can actually build ceiling after placing the advanced anchor so it perfectly fits 1 wall height ;)
if you remove the floors above it then place it then replace the floors it will fit

Sorry I didn't see your reply! It depends on the blueprint. Only the recycler is at a previous story location (Radio Tower) and the rest are in the new places
you can fit 8 advanced large cropplots in the area of one sprinkler. I don't think that's possible with the old one.

Whats the fastest way to farm metal ore? Me and friends have been struggling to get a large quantity of metal ore.
You could theoretically trade for it, but also just memorizing island layouts tends to help

detector blueprint) titanium has become way less rare

Besides windmill and biofuel thing, other upgades kinda seem pointless to have.
The electric grill and the electric water purifiers with the water tank is good. The electric grill lets you cook 6 small and medium items at a time and 2 large fish at a time. And since you will have the windmill by this time batteries are not a problem recharging. However, the electric smelter and large chests are a waste of resources. For the electric smelter. 4 regular smelters will do a better job and take up the same space as 1 electric smelter. And by this time, you should already have 4 or more smelters. As for the large storage. 2 medium storages have the same storage space as 1 large storage. The fun thing is that 8 medium storages can take up the same space as 1 large storage (if you place them right) and they give you much more storage space.
I thought anything Advanced requires Titanium, thankfully the crop plots are the exceptions.

You should mention that you need cube space 3/3/3 for new anchor
It fits in 3x3x2. You'll need to destroy your ceiling above it, then place the anchor, then replace the ceiling. It's annoying but it works. I had to do this in my main playthrough and my entire bridge was directly above the anchor, so I had to pick up everything first.
I wish you could plumb all of the machines into your bio fuel loop rather than having a million batteries
If this is the final chapter and there won't be any more updates. Why even bother with all the new additions?
