I was just searching last night as to why the sun doesn't follow east/west on the compass. I came to the assumption that the pole axis or magnetic field was flipped in the new water world and that this was some sort of science based environmental "easter egg", maybe. (there is rl basis for the shift)
I'm convinced that Raft doesn't take place on Earth. Or at least does on an alternate Earth. Because of many things, the compass being one of them. Yes I know that they mention Stockholm and that accounts for the alternate Earth theory.
4:07 the trees on caravan town also dont drop seeds, perhaps you didn’t know this either, but some trees on caravan town can be destroyed! A friend of mine I played with randomly found this (I had more than 400 hours at that point lol)
Yeah! But it's only the the acacia trees with leaves in Caravan Town. Also, unlike the Balboa Island variant of large island that you can find with harvestable pine and birch trees, the Caravan Town variant of island will have the acacia trees with leaves but cannot be broken.
Ty for all the raft content! been playing since before the game came to steam and still occasionally coming across little bits here and there like I didn't notice the character journal changes, that's very interesting! The compass I assumed to be related to either the poles of the earth getting flipped, or the compass itself is broken. Congrats on hitting 10k!
I wish you had the option to let all the survivors at the end of the game go back to Tangaroa. I mean, you basically fix the issues while you are there as the main character. For long term living, Tangaroa seems so much nicer than Utopia.
The compos points in the direction the currents flow in. I have tested this out time and time again if you want to shut off your engines and just collect debris you can literally point your raft in the direction the compos is pointing and your raft will be in line with the debris flows in game.
@5:42 agreed, that compass issue drove me nuts for an hour before I chucked in a crate and never picked it up again. @8:32 total facepalm moment. I had no idea you could do that, and I've been OCD'ing over that for a week now.
Actually, you don't need the dev weapon to farm the rhino shark. I have a survival series where I've gotten it multiple times without cheating along with mama bears head and alpha's head.
Thank you for making these videos on a raft, they are so helpful for me and my friend when we are playing the game, especially the 3rd person perspective glitch for the vasagatan
I feel like Redbeet tried to pull a Scrap Mechanic with the radio But they failed to do the atmosphere cuz it's not a lonely, mysterious and Fog-Of-War-like world filled to the brim with machines that kill anything and everything on sight, it's an endless ocean with nonsensical POIs and Аркадий that comes back more often than William Afton
Another less known compass fact I found on my own experiments, it almost always points in the direction of the wind, whether that means wind blows north idk, but I guess it does. Extra fun fact
Up until this point, I disliked Elaine for her curt tones, and the way her hard-looking face made her seem harsher than the other characters. However, after seeing what she might've been through. . .it's kind of inspiring seeing her fierce rather than broken from what she's lost. Losing any child is an absolute pain, and seeing Elaine continue to fight despite that pain is admirable
Somebody else may have already said this, but "the goats are a lie" may also be a reference to the There is No Game demo, where there’s a goat which is a ripoff of the cake from portal.
The "All your Raft is belong to us" is'nt right spelled in Raft! The "Raft" is spelled "Romeo - Alpha - OSKAR - Tango" so it says "Raot" instead of Raft
I thought so too as soon as I saw it, and figured it was a funny little reference seeing it too doesn't exactly point north but where you want to go; for us that's towards the debris.

Tip 9. you dont need to jump puzzle at all. You can jump into the net, run to the roof to your right, jump up on it and into the other net :)

Love the unique character journals: I did _not_ notice them. rip Elaine's daughters 😢

1:51 how do you put the emojis in I don't get it?
A bit late for you now but I found how, just type . You can type in any number instead of 3 to get different emojis!
I'm a bit late but you can write:
on a sign and you'll have a big smiling emoji! Just make sure to put the "size" tag before the "sprite" tag
Love your vids
you dont have to go to the 2nd part you can jump on top of a roof and fully skip the parkour 10:48

THE PARKOUR GAVE ME SOOO MUCH TROUBLE FOR MONTHS, I literally finished it a few hours before watching this. 😭😭
Another less known compass fact I found on my own experiments, it almost always points in the direction of the wind, whether that means wind blows north idk, but I guess it does. Extra fun fact

That carpet trick is sooo handy. I will use it so much now.
For tip number 9, I found that one out with my friends by accident. I was the only one who couldn’t do the platforms lol
I got the captain's island like 5 minutes into my first playthrough, but never used the radio cause the messages would interrupt my tunes XD
I found that parkour skip thing 1st time I was there and knew a bunch of the other things but a few things I didn't know, thanks for the video.
Yet another incredible vid!
Thanks for this!
My favourite tip is the parkour skip tip XD
Your voice is super soothing to listen to!😌 I’m a new player and I appreciate all of this information!

Somebody else may have already said this, but "the goats are a lie" may also be a reference to the There is No Game demo, where there’s a goat which is a ripoff of the cake from portal.
6:24 magnetic field of earth changed becose of the bigger ocean

Ive Found the plane crash Island 3 Times but the Ship Island Not a Single time
And the radio can also be meaning like Olof, because he took over other Rafes basically
maybe the shifting of the panet coused the flood thats why the sun is at different places
my favorite fact was one about elaine... poor her...
im i the only one that have relised that the compass looks like jack sparrows compass
I thought so too as soon as I saw it, and figured it was a funny little reference seeing it too doesn't exactly point north but where you want to go; for us that's towards the debris.
