Didn't he drink from a fountain that keeps him the same age forever so he has to be killed in order to die? Dunno why that's something in my head about Roshi
@@silentassason The flower bit was revealed in Super. He's also been training offscreen, which explains why he got to surpass Freeza soldiers level and help people out in Ressurrection F and then in Tournament of Power.
7:10 In the episode breakdown of this you can see what would have happened if Gohan said yes. Also they had to fight with the editor to even get that joke in the episode in the first place. As they explained in their commentary on the movie.
I have yet to see a reactor react to DBZ Abridged who's seen Doctor Who. I'm still waiting for the "Oh that's the tracks from Doctor Who, oh the time machine is going through time and space in a tube like Doctor Who." Ah well
This special showcases TeamFourStar can improve on the drama as well because they made Trunks discovering his mentor dead more grim by adding Doomsday as background music, which is a track from Dr. Who Season 2 (2006), while in original it was an electro one that IMO downplayed it a bit. Some say it´s even better than Gohan´s big moment vs Cell at the end of TFS series.
There's a scene that didn't make it in. Mr. Gohan doesn't turn Bulma down, and you hear them going at it, and Mr. Gohan, as he's *finishing,* goes "Ma-sen-KOOOO" and fires his attack, as Saiyans tend to do when they 🍆💦. I hope Trunks wore noise cancelling headphones to bed that night. And the callback to episode 18 gets me every time. Serious conversation is happening, and there's Vegeta's scream from *20 years ago,* finally reaching Earth *from at least a few light-years away!* 🤣
So there's a scene 2 of the writers were pushing for that the writer that also did the editing (and voices trunks) had to put down his foot and veto (which is something he tried not to do) where bulma's flirt would actually work and a scene like the one where vegeta and bulma conceived trunks would play out but in the middle of it gohan would scream "CALL ME GOKU! CALL ME GOKU!"
One reason people adore (future) trunks is because his backstory together with Bardock's are the grimmest stories we see see in the dragon ball universe, trunks' being the darkest one by a lot, which makes sense considering neither of them were written by Akira Toriyama (the creator) He had a banger intro by being the second super Saiyan we ever saw, his timeline sucks and it contains the Fan's favorite version of Gohan, and also in dragon ball super they... Well I think I should hold off this one until the series' epilogue
This is why everyone loves this Future Trunks.. this episode was full of the emotion that the entire show needed.. it all went downhill from there for Trunks though (cough DBS cough)

The chi chi scene actually made me sad
“The future is no fun.”
“It’s REALLY not.”

That timeline is fucking grim.

More coming this week!

It was my fav DBZ movie in the 90s.

That theme playing on the Rollercoaster is by The Vengaboys if I remember correctly, so yeah 90's flashback!

dude me too
I think one of the guys from Blind Wave knew about the doctor who references when he reacted to dbza
"Going through time and space in a tube like Doctor Who" they might even know to call it the time vortex
To be fair, Doomsday is played one time I believe, in an episode of a show made in the early 2000s and mainly watched by British people.
@@VainerCactus0An episode heavily replayed by new fans (of pre-13 who) here in the states.
Mr Six was not a woman, no. It was just another younger dude. Danny Teeson. check it up.

Having to mute the music on that scene was a sin on TH-cam's part :/
