How does Porsche manage to keep the 911 so perfect after all these years? It just keeps gettng better, this 911 is beautiful. Porsche makes cars so technically proficient that newer tech doesn’t detract from the prior model. I went to a dealer in a cold city and made them an offer during the slowest period of the cycle ( pre spring in Canada) and when the 992 is schedule for release. The car has PDCC which is rare for C2S so I’ll more than keep up with most Carreras on the track. Your reviews are the bomb.

I’ve ordered a 992 C4S, Guards red, all-wheel steering, PASM, Sport-Chrono, night vision, etc. It’s being built now and Porsche Company keeps in contact with me letting me know where it’s at in the process. I’ve traded in my 2002 996 Turbo and Mercedes S-550, and will need to pony up some money, but believe me....I am on pins and needles. Ciao!, my friend. And keep up the good work!!! :-)
4:45 WRONG! According to Porsche directly (check their tweet in Jan 2017), the left side starter key WAS because of Le Mans. Has nothing to do with “wiring distance.”
Well my source was direct from the Porsche Museum’s curator and historian. She said that although it seems like a perfect story about the racing, that was not the case.
She even started out by asking everyone why is the ignition on the left side and of course most people said it was because of the racing, and then she went on to correct everyone that it was not
Even if you technically *can* buy one--like, you have the funds as a proportion of your portfolio / accounts or can stomach the monthly payment as part of your cash flow out--it's hard unless you're very, very wealthy or else very, very financially imprudent to mentally justify paying $150k for a car. #firstworldproblems

That was a well detailed and nice review but instead of placing the camera in front of your face, it’d be nice if the camera was placed on the roof or at the passenger’s side window.
And it would be maybe a lot more heavier too...! Porsche isn't happy at all about this fact, and therefore they delayed the PHEV 911 to the facelifted model 992.2 in about three or four years, hoping that the battery will be lighter than it would be today in such a car! The 911 is a fantastic sports car and not a "mpg" Prius like boring car!

You can buy whatever you want but I’m speaking to med/high income individuals making 120k a year. Buying a new 991 will in the long term loss money due to depreciation. But I’m sorry you pull up next to a lambo gallardo over this 991 Porsche I will guarantee you the lambo will be more prestigious and get a lot more attention than 2020 Porsche 991
I thought that when one buys a car, especially a sports car, one think about stuff like how great it would be to drive, the brilliant handling, the power, the acceleration, the driving feel, wonderful roads and places to drive it, happy and exciting drive everyday for as long as one wants and own the car, the smiles and giggles and laughter it would elicit on every curve and corner of the road, etc. I didn't think one would think, "I am going to buy a sports car but if it's new, the value is lessened immediately the moment I drive it out of the showroom floor. The value would drop even more as I drive it for a few days, a few weeks, a few months. I wonder how much the price would be after a year or two. Should i still buy it or not? Or should i buy a used older model that has been driven intensely by the previous owner because at least it would hold itsvalue better than the newer and better model?" If that is the case, why buy at all. Are you sure it is a car that you want to buy? A sports car?
Al McDaniel no, the leather steering wheel stitching is coarse and chafes your hand / inner part of your thumbs leaving them sore , so - wear gloves or hold the wheel elsewhere and not in the track day prescribed manner
As an American you can do that of course. But nobody in the rest of the world would do that too! A Mustang is just a piece of crap compared to Porsches refinement in a new 992 911!! A Ford Mustang needs approximately 200 hp more just to compete with a Porsche 911 on a straight line. But in corners, then a Mustang is just a ridiculously poor developed car compared to a Porsche 911! You have no fucking clue, buddy!

the new car was penned by someone hoping to please the Beverly Hills younger gold chain set. It's not going to get as lost in a parking lot full of wide, angular Lamborghinis anymore. It will look better than the 991 in GT form, say, in green. But on the majority of models, the purity and beauty of the 991 has been lost. In subtle colors, on a soft rainy day, alone in a nature like setting, the 911 is much more beautiful. It's the car that the art collector will prefer, whether they know a lot about cars or not . The 992 has design mistakes. Retro just for retro sake, like those stupid lines and dips on the hood are just annoying, and contrast with the modern requirements for pedestrian safety and angularity in design, and that weird line at the windshield, which is about 3 inches above the wipers, to create a complete mess. Besides a hood that always looks open, the hatchet-wound gape under the rear wing is not subtle, and the "pause" light is a gimmick that is not "cute" that they will ultimately do away with because it's so incredibly stupid on such an expensive car. And while through the decades people have attempted to make brake lights into positive design elements such as to increase the visual width of a car, the truly great designs generally minimize brake lights, which are safety gear. They are in one color only, plastic and obnoxious. Let's not emphasize brake lights. And whereas the 991 was lighter than the previous car this one is noticeably heavier than both the previous generations. The 991 was designed all at once by a pen that wanted to take the 911 into a truly eye pleasing, balanced, beautiful and integrated dimension. That was the goal. The goal on the 992 is different, and it just doesn't work. They should have given all the cars rear wheel steering as opposed to making them all wide. But have you ever seen a cutaway of the rear wheel steering mechanism? It's obviously extremely expensive to build an engineer so we're going to leave that has an expensive option on an already extremely expensive car. Making performance options standard should be part of a new model and they didn't do it here. Whoops. How many people are going to be crushed buy the Jeep Cherokee like drive selector when children crawl on it? Here, the car is purposely engineered to be less engaging than the last car, with it's annoying little stubby rocker switch. Even in Sport Plus mode this car won't stay in the gear that you put it in all the time. Fair warning! I don't know why they can't build a car that let's the driver control what gear your car is in. No matter what.
Imagine changing a product by .001% and calling it a "new model". That's Porsche for you. Then, the Porsche fanatics, the ones who love to spend gobs of money for name, all start squawking about how the factory has turned THIS NEW MODEL into a world-class race car. The truth is...you people are brainwashed. If you have enough gelt in your bank account to afford one of these, you have enough to buy a whole bunch of other cars which blow this one away.
Bullshit! It's a fixed exhaust tip for "cosmetic reasons", but which follows quite "seamless" the actual exhaust. This has nothing to do with a "fake exhaust". You even don't know the difference..., stupid boy!

911, reminds me of that tragedy
Imagine changing a product by .001% and calling it a "new model". That's Porsche for you. Then, the Porsche fanatics, the ones who love to spend gobs of money for name, all start squawking about how the factory has turned THIS NEW MODEL into a world-class race car. The truth is...you people are brainwashed. If you have enough gelt in your bank account to afford one of these, you have enough to buy a whole bunch of other cars which blow this one away.
Could you please enlighten us on which vehicles will blow this 992 away?
louis lazarus have another beer, Louis. You don’t have a clue what you’re jabbering on about.
louis lazarus - Quiet! you jealous babbling idiot, the adults are speaking.
It’s not our fault you can’t afford one.
I wouldn't know the 0.0001% change as I'll be a first time Porsche buyer.
fake exhaust !,
???
Porsche has no fake exhausts, my friend. Where you see the openings is where the exhaust comes out.
There’s a difference between a fake exhaust and a cosmetic exhaust tip.
Bullshit! It's a fixed exhaust tip for "cosmetic reasons", but which follows quite "seamless" the actual exhaust. This has nothing to do with a "fake exhaust". You even don't know the difference..., stupid boy!
Bring on the turbo
But it is not the best selling porsche
No it’s not but it’s the model that the entire brand is based upon.
