    Chad LB is the best young cat out there!!! He blows me away:: A complete player who can play any style, but most of all he knows the Bebop language and plays the snot outta changes. Love his sound, articulation, execution but most of all his musicianship is amazing!!! Randy Brecker..... what can you say......Trend setter, amazing writer, producer, trumpet player and one of my hero's. His Brother Mike changed my life. Doesn't get any bigger than that. Amazing performance!!!!!

    Now, Chad really showed what he was made of ! Excellent. Excellent ! Almost brought back the great Michael Brecker.

    Randy's still got it. Bit of the old Brecker Bros mixed with Snarky Puppy. Nothin wrong with that...

    • @videomusic1381
      @videomusic1381 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Randy still got it LOL. Randy created Heavy metal bebop before the guys on stage with him here were born ... Breckers go back to the 70s ... don't underestimate creation. copying ideas is easy coming up with them in the first place is another story.

      @@videomusic1381 are you saying this is an imitation of the brecker brothers?

    All the young guys are in good shape and have mastered the language. I feel like taking care of body and mind is just as important as practicing.

    Damn dude! One of the first records I ever heard was “Some Skunk Funk” by the Brecker Brothers way back when I was a kid in the 80s. You do the late, great Michael Brecker much honor with your playing. The whole thing is terrific, but man, I love that you channeled that vintage Brecker Brothers sound so well. Fantastic playing!

  • @stangetz534
    @stangetz534 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    How does the effects work? You can hear the sax/trumpet and synthesizer during the solo....How does it work?

    • @goatmagic5220
      @goatmagic5220 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Stan Getz sounds like it’s just going through an effect loop of some sort. Mic is probably connected to a pedal of some sort that runs through and amp to create that synth sound with it.

    • @stangetz534
      @stangetz534 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@goatmagic5220 ah...but do you see the piano keyboard keys moving at the edge of the screen as the sax plays? I thought it was some program that translates sax sounds to keyboard playing for a second, lol.

    • @goatmagic5220
      @goatmagic5220 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Stan Getz I don’t think it’s that simply bc the keyboard player is playing different stuff at the same time, and if it moved the keys he was playing on the sax then it could interfere w the keyboard player. Also seem insanely complex lol I have absolutely no idea how that would work. It’s all just a guess tho I’m not sure how they get the sound, I’m just kinda assuming that because that’s the standard for “altered” wind instrument sounds.

    I'm not a drum player. What is that tall spiral cymbal on the drummer's right side of the kit? What purpose does it serve?

      also that drum player is absolutely killing it!

    • @SuperCarneg
      @SuperCarneg 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's often called a spiral trash cymbal. It can allow for a different palette than with more typical cymbals.
