Don't know, Chet Baker at Capolinea, which was recorded in October 1983 , just two years before this one, is better for me, Estate rendering is the best together with Petrucciani's. Btw, I have both the vynils.
In the hush of midnight's shadowed tune, Chet's trumpet weeps beneath the moon. Notes like teardrops softly fall, Echoes of a melancholy call. In smoky rooms where shadows dance, Chet's horn weaves a forlorn romance. A solitary sigh, a lonesome cry, As melodies of heartache amplify. His trumpet whispers tales untold, Of love that's young, and love grown old. Through muted brass, a mournful plea, A requiem for lost ecstasy. A lonely street, a dim-lit bar, Chet's music drifts like a fading star. In every chord, a soul laid bare, A sonnet of sorrow suspended in air. Each breath he takes, a heavy sigh, A wistful echo, a muted goodbye. Through amber notes, the pain unfolds, A symphony of sorrows, stories untold. The night embraces the mournful sound, As Chet's trumpet weeps, unbound. A ballad etched in shadows deep, In the music of Chet, the sadness seeps.
Gran bel trio jazz.
Gabriele, eco! Micky Graillier is always magical I have all his recordings from France. He is such an introspective, melodical and gentle genius on the piano. He was Chet's favorite pianist.
I am 87 and here I sit enjoying this genius with tears flowing freely like his fluid sounds of passion and feelings. Rest In Peace old friend, the angels are lucky to have you!
I've never heard Grailler before. He sounds a little like Keith Jarrett with a more mysterious and darker sense of harmony. Why isn't this cat getting more attention as you effectively discuss in your above statement?
Chet worked with many wonderful piano players, especially in the '80s...Graillier had a fine sense of harmony ad colour, which reminds me something like Bill Evans, but in a more dreaming and softer way... check out also John Horler, another great sideman of Chet, but a bit more vigorous and energic than Grailler, even if quite similiar. I like also Dennis Luxion and Harold Danko (monumental the Tokyo Concert with this last one), personally.
When the words get in the way Of your melancholy days And the feeling that it's all just a dream. Wake me if you must These days simply dust passing through... Passing through the hands of.father time Summer without tou here Makes me want disappear as i cling to the scent of your wine.

Odio l'estate...
It doesn’t get any better. Chet was truly gifted and, like a previous commenter said, he played straight from the heart- even more amazing when you consider he was a drug addict most of his adult life. This is why I hate drugs .
Carolyne Officiel Michel is awesome, I have all his recordings from France. Such a sensitive, introspective and melodic genius on the piano, who played tenderly and effortlessly. He was also Chet's favorite pianist and in my opinion, Michel was for the piano what Chet was for the trumpet in jazz.
The Triumvirate of Muse Eck is Melody, Rythym, & Harmony, in that order. Chet realizes the Moment of: 1) Motif (Motive), 2) The Moments of The Song in Its Royal Capitulation heard in The Melody, then expand it by improvising on the melody in an obligato, obligatory to a concise development leading to the finale with a cadenza to close the recapitulation of IT.

Pure bliss. Grailler on keys is so underrated
This music creates a bed in which my soul can finally find peace.
Beautiful music for to be in love forever

È morto nel 1988 cazzo...
When the words get in the way
Of your melancholy days
And the feeling that it's all just a dream.
Wake me if you must
These days simply dust passing through...
Passing through the hands of.father time
Summer without tou here
Makes me want disappear as i cling to the scent of your wine.
Concordo in pieno !!!
sublime chet
chet--6 eri meraviglioso musicista
Great recording, credits must be given even to Paolo Piangiarelli (philology records) the producer of this disc that dedicate all his life to jazz!

Odio l' estate....
Chet..Soulfull
It doesn’t get any better. Chet was truly gifted and, like a previous commenter said, he played straight from the heart- even more amazing when you consider he was a drug addict most of his adult life. This is why I hate drugs .
MAGISTRALE INTERPRETAZIONE!
FAVOLOSA INTERPRETAZIONE
My favorite is from "Chet Baker at Capolinea", a shorter version that I never tire of hearing. woody shaw does a great job with this one too.
I totally agree, At Capolinea is really great
The song "Estate" was written by the composer Bruno Martino in 1960. While it has been recorded by Brazilians, it is an Italian song.
Sublime ..Cool...Soulful...Chet
Merci beaucoup pour ce partage
Realmente GRANDE.
Fantastic ! Michel Graillier is the best !
Carolyne Officiel Michel is awesome, I have all his recordings from France. Such a sensitive, introspective and melodic genius on the piano, who played tenderly and effortlessly. He was also Chet's favorite pianist and in my opinion, Michel was for the piano what Chet was for the trumpet in jazz.
this is superb..
Molto bello!
Chet suona alla grande!
extraordinario vuelo! excelente interpretación de un clásico
