Noragami is extremely underrated, I'm so glad to see someone enjoying it! Great haul, I especially love seeing the OOP finds you picked up, they're just really cool and different to see
Noragami is indeed under appreciated. Frequent hiatus caused by adachi toka health issues and releas schedule made a lot of older readers drop out I think, what a shame. Nearly zero promotions from Kodansha is also too blame, they focus too much on other shounen. Noragami is different and engaging many other fantasies, in my opinion. I am sad about it’s reaching the end.
Emma Vol 3 right now is pretty hard to find, but Yen Press did just recently say they have a reprint for it scheduled fairly soon
Also TIL Hot Gimmick has Viz Big Print editions lmao

This is really exciting! My favorite part so far is Part 2 and I’m almost caught up on part 4. I’m experiencing the series quite slowly because I’m buying the hardcovers one at a time
I've been loving the Dinosaur Sanctuary manga series and can't wait for volume 3 later this year.
I don’t know why but still watching the intro so many times it still makes me laugh!
Thanks for the recommendations! I was already thinking of reading Mashile because of other people recommending it and when I heard you mention it, it was set in stone, I going to pick it up soon.

I likewise picked up Tombs and the newest Fist of the North Star. I've been picking up Orochi through my local comic shop and I'm dying that I don't have vol 4 yet.
I'm looking forward to another Discoteck sale, I've got a some Lupin, vintage cartoons, and robot anime needs to fulfill.
Great pickups. That Short Program Vol 2 is a really hard to find volume. Eagle: The Making of an Asian-American President is fantastic. One of my favorites and incredibly underrated.

Hot Gimmick was the first series I completed thanks to Borders going out of business. It's no more trash than what was captivating my young teenage heart (Twilight, Boys Over Flowers, etc) if I remember correctly, but I do plan on reading it again just to see how bad it is 😂
I like Ragna Crimson (haven't read volume 8 yet) though I've seen some criticism about how very fight scene heavy it is. I personally don't mind that, but it is a fair criticism of the series.
A sub-series reviewing volume 1s you get sounds nice.

Was fortunate enough to just get omni 5 of eagle and about half of project arms, but I realised that the eagle omnis only collect 21 of the 22 singles realeased

I am not sure if it is available in English but you should try to pick up the monogatari series
Thanks for a great haul video! Tokyo Pop released a title named Snow Fairy that I recommend (I’m pretty sure it was mentioned it in the buyer’s guide). The story was really heartwarming and the art is so beautiful. Hopefully someone sees this comment and picks it up :)
Do you think it’s likely that they’ll do a box set for Dr. Stone? I want to pick it up but don’t know if I should wait.
Nice to see some Taniguchi, have you read Sky Hawk? Don't remember if it's been in one of your past hauls or in the collection tour. One of my favorite books by him.
Noragami really is under-rated. Its one of my top favorites. I highly recommend it to everyone. ^-^

I think The Last Ronin sales increase is due to the video game they are doing based on it being announced.
Im aware that was announced, but that kind of announcement never leads towards a bump in sales like this. Especially from smaller publishers. IDW must have put a special sale on that book on the distributor level so that retailers could get more copies in stores.

I answered someone else that brought that up, but it’s highly unlikely because game announcements never result in sales spikes. Releases cause small spikes but not announcements, and those spikes are never this large.
IDW had to have printed a huge surplus and offered them at severely discounted prices to distributors, and in turn to retailers.

That's what google is for. It's not a reading log its him showing what he picked up. If he stopped and talked in detail about every volume he grabbed this video would be 4 hours long.

I'm guessing the term shoujo trash is meant semi affectionately but Vampire Knight is bordering on Shoujo classic imo; especially considering it carried the entire genre on it's back into the 00's mainstream. IDC if there's some kind of consensus in ur shoujo friend group or that people disliked the ending but VK deserves more respect as a series than that. It's almost akin to calling Bleach trash shonen or something.
Nah it’s trash. Also Shoujo is a demographic not a genre.
@@BakerGirlSteph I mean people will call anything trash/mid etc. It's all trash to someone. I just think VK did so much for Shoujo that it's hilarious that so many Shoujo enthusiasts unanimously hate it now. Hating it doesn't change it's impact or relevance.
