May not be my favourite Legend of Zelda game, but excited both finally cover Link’s Awakening as well as play it’s new Nintendo Switch remake! This game has a ton of charm and a fantastic story! Definitely check out the Link’s Awakening remake if you haven’t yet played this game!

In Link's awakening original, the American version was censored, in Link's awakening DX, the censorship was added to not just American version but European version as well, in Link's awakening for Nintendo switch, the censorship was added everywhere, no matter what region.
I found an unused feature while emulating. There was originally a plan to buy swords! When you walk through the back of the dog house after killing many enemies, you can walk those all the rooms… One of the rooms (really far away) says in a chest “You got a *new sword!* Better put your name on that later.” And the wrong warp glitch uses randomized lines from the game

As a Canadian, I’m used to calling it zed.
I'm the only canadian I know who prefers Zee to Zed. Zed fucks up the ENTIRE alphabet rhyme and ruins the climax of the song, also it just doesn't make any sense. No other letter is pronounced with a second consonant (with the exception of w)

I remember we borrowed Link's Awakening when I was younger. I don't remember playing it seriously, but I would mess around on my brother's file. Now I have the chance to play it for real when I buy the remake ^^ It's such a fascinating looking game.

I want a sequal to link to the past where using the Marin seagull is featured as one of Link's abilities. Maybe she could stand on his shoulder and project an image of her human form or turn into it sometimes. I wouldn't want any navi style hints though, so I'm not sure how it could work without bieng annoying like that.
Ayyyyy, I'm glad you covered this one. I never played the game back in the day but Lost Bits is never something to miss ahaha! Looking forward to seeing if you'll end up making a lost bits for the Switch version sometime in the future since it's the one I'll be playing!

So much for censorship, I guess) and Secret of Mana. ("Hollerö!" Which doesn't exactly mean anything in particular, besides being a _very_ outdated version of greeting somebody, it's just obnoxious how many NPCs in the game say nothing else at all... It's not all bad though. The added Joke that "die Lindenstraße" (a very popular TV show) is starting when the monsters cooking our protagonist are suddenly running away is hilarious.)

@TetraBitGaming fun tidbit about Totakeke's hidden song. Kinda. Way back in Melee, there was a trophy for KK Slider, the guitar playing dog from the Animal Crossing series, which at that point was still in development. Because the game was not yet completed, the trophy itself was labeled "FUTURE RELEASE" in its description. But the name of KK Slider on that trophy was called Totakeke!

13:25 doesn't look like Marin, they look like Nayru(from Oracle of Ages).
You can actually get free movement via the screen wrap glitch in the original, non DX version.
Step 1: Obtain flippers from level 4. Walls turn into deep water with this glitch, so you need to be able to swim to get around.
Step 2: Go to level 1 and enter the sublevel just below Moldorm's room.
Step 3: Screen wrap by pressing select at the same time you transition between screens. You should end up in a wall, and should be able to push onward and transition to an out of bounds screen. You'll fall and respawn in the top-down view of the dungeon.
Step 4: Have fun swimming through walls. You can do weird stuff like getting incorrect sprites to load, walk between dungeons, or even trigger some weird text (I once triggered the Wind Fish's speech by opening a chest in level 6 after walking around in the glitchiness for a bit.)
The old man sprites were probably for a nes style Wizzrobe, compared to the ones that are in the final. Just a thought, since they resemble the stalfos.
