Upon the update to the TCRF article, Bungee Jump actually DOES have unused mini game advice and controls. It seems to be a one player only game. And you had to press the button to grab the treasure, but you have to time it right. Even the controls and advice were officially translated! So, yep, there is a 5th unused minigame.

@TetraBitGaming 10:00 As a programmer I can shed some light on this situation. I think your conclusion on "Under Construction" is accurate, meaning the minigame was never completed for one reason or another, but the text that states "Now Printing!" Is actually most likely an image that references the debug term "Printing" which means to Cause text to appear programatically and rendered while the game is running, as compared to just hard coding in a bit of text somewhere or loading a whole image. My best guess is that this minigame was conceived early by ambitious Font Artists who made seperate files for each letter and the final image seen if a rendered version of the letters programmatically being drawn, or "Printed", to the screen. If my theory were correct that would imply that the game would have been able to spell any word using that font, but being a cut feature we would only see unique fonts spelling out specifics words and saved as whole files, which is to my understanding what we see in the final project. I just now noticed another interesting bit, the font found in the phrase "Now Printing!" Is nearly identical to the font used in the minigame explanation text, Which further confirms that the font rendered in the minigame window was programatic as we can confirm that the font used in that picture has a library of letters to draw from. If anybody wishes to disprove this theory please look for a full picture in the game files that explicitly reads "Now Printing". Thank you for all of your time I look forward to returning and participating in any discussion this stirs up.

"Now Printing" is a common Japanese placeholder phrase. Just letting you know.

Just googling "Now Printing" has a lot of similar images with that phrase on them, often linking to Japanese stuff.
But anyway, I digress... :P

"Now Printing!" is, for whatever reason, common placeholder text on temp graphics in Japanese games. Sometimes it's in katakana (ナウプリンティング). The actual Japanese equivalent is "工事中" (kanji are "make thing middle", or more sensibly, "under construction"). It has nothing to do with literal printing, it's just common Engrish.
The sound for throwing the block on the slope could be for the block sliding down the slope. While it didn't slide when you threw it, it could have been the intention. That's my guess as to what the sound effect was for.
There's another show on TH-cam called boundary break which similarly uses the camera to see hidden features of a game. However Lost Bits is much cooler in my opinion due to its amazing editing, inclusion of hidden files in the game and Tetra is an awesome host. Lovin the series.

I think this was how the old Chance Time (or All or Nothing) was. First, you'll be in the room and you'll have to jump on one of those question marks. If you get a bowser sticker or 'mark' it calls it when you jump on one, you get 'nothing' (which is where that unused text may come in play) but if you get a Mario one, you can get 'all' of the coins. How much, I don't know.

That white thing in the minigame with the flower looks more like an untextured Spiny Shell, like the ones used in Mario Party 3's Ice Rink Risk. A bit hard to tell, but you can see 4 spikes and just beraly a 5th one in the center.

There's a music track called "Move to the Mambo" that was cut from the American version, but plays in the Japanese version in the Balloon Burst and Musical Mushroom Mini-Games.

Just played the original Mario Party recently and... well, it definitely grew the beard in later games. No items, losing coins if you lose a mini-game, very few board events (on Peach's Birthday Cake anyway since that's the only one we played), mini-games where 3 characters do nothing... yeah. Still glad I got to play it again though because I can't really remember the first time round I played it. ^^
1Thunderfire The one computer character that was way too overpowered and always tried to kill you... the joystick rotating mini games (I hope whoever came up with that idea and a textured joystick were fired) ... only 5 2v2 mini games... I love the game so much (mainly because the only other ones I've played are 8,9 and DS. The boards and mini games were always good and nothing was ever too easy and you actually have to try to win) but I know it has its major problems.

Well, since some people worked on the minigames and wanted to test only minigames and some people worked on the maps and only wanted to test the maps, it makes sense that the debug options allow you to do just that. Not surprising. As for the 99 stars message: When you are surprised about that, you aren't a programmer ;P When coding things weird special cases pop up left and right. And the rule of thumb is: If you leave them as is because you think "nobody will do that anyways", then it will definitely happen and you are responsible for the bug. So no matter how unlikely, put in something to handle weird cases. Oh, and I highly doubt that "Now printing" has anything to do with actual printing xD When you use "printing"-functions, it usually displays text somewhere. So it kind of prints text onto the screen.
I think the unused GET! would be used for a minigame where it would say GET! and point to what you should get as well as the same as clones of the thing you got to get would have a slight different.

I have only ever seen the "NO GAME" overlay once in my life. Yes, this was on the cartridge! In Luigi's Engine Room, somehow one player got sick from the Poisonous Mushroom and couldn't go, thus ending the full turn. Next turn, the first or second player, by way of Warp Block, switched with the sick player. The player was previously on the star spot (which was declared when a player before him bought a star) when they switched. Then comes the sick player's turn, he's sick and on the star spot; therefore, he has no color panel to work with. This works best if this sick player is third or fourth in turn order, and you have the Warp Block in use.
"Too Bad " message has returned in recent 3d Mario games though, triggered when you die, so technically it got some use.
I have a theory that a lot of the content was for the DD. The plan was that the entire thing would be on the DD but unfortunately, it had to have everything unused walled up. It's likely that they were going to make a Mario Party extension kit. The reasoning for this is that F-ZERO X, a game with an expansion kit, doesn't run when the DD is in. Mario Party does the same along with Orcarina of Time. While Orcarina of Time was well known for its cancelled expansion, this one had no announced expansion. It's likely that the green mini-games on the debug menu were going to be added in the DD expansion. Alongside some other content like new characters, boards and maybe even items. It's sad that the 64DD failed. I guess that's what happens sometimes.

Try free camera in unused mini games
I didn't know there was a scrapped Yoshi game, scrapped memory game, a canceled game that was under construction but never got released (hence it got canceled), and I lastly didn't know that there were Pokemon N64 operating systems at Blockbuster stores as I have been to Blockbuster stores for many years in my lifetime and I have never once seen those at all! I was also not even a Pokemon fan that much in my life so maybe that's another reason why I have never once seen them before either.
I like the videos; this is a pretty nifty channel.

I suspect Bomber Mario was a very early placeholder minigame based on Bomberman; since Hudson also developed the Bomberman games, it probably would have been relatively easy and fast for them to create as a test minigame by just repurposing existing code.
As for why it was scrapped...well, if you've ever played a Bomberman game, then you'll probably know why a game limited to 60 seconds (the max in Mario Party 1 IIRC) would end in a draw 99% of the time. :-)
That “compressed boo” looks more like a Lotus flower due to the fact that you can see the petals as it rotates. before any dummies go attacking me in the comments about how the object is completely white so it can’t be a lotus, the lotus might’ve had a texture at one point in development and said texture might’ve been deleted later on, so that would explain why it’s completely white.

About the Now Printing image seen in this video. That is just simply a placeholder. As to why it says, "Now Printing!" instead of test, or "temporary" written in Japanese Kanji, Print is a function used in programming to display stuff like answers to math problems and simply text. And the "Now" most likely means that they were in the middle of attempting to put the supposedly finished and more clear what it is about screenshot into the game. Yeah, sounds a little weird for a placeholder image to say, "Now Printing!".

Those other objects are likely pieces of other levels. Developers mashed assets together to help save space. That's my guess.

I would like it if same game was like a puzzle mode for mp11 or something and you try to progress by smashing all blocks within a time limit in levels that gradually gain difficulty

Maybe the reason the sound triggered on the slope is because it detects the slope as a wall, because of it’s slight incline?

1:54 yeah well, that's because their bottom half of their model could be seen in the credits like the others.
But you have to go through a "loading frame" to get to the credits. And there is no use to keep the bottom half until the credit's loading frames.i might be wrong since I've never played it before since I'm a 2004 kid

Good stuff! Did you see anything regarding unused sounds? Specifically there's sounds in the JP version of the game where Luigi and Wario go "oh my god!" if they have something bad happen to them on a Bowser space. This was changed in the NA version of the game for censorship reasons, but I'm wondering if they still exist in the ROM and if that lends the possibility of those sounds being hacked back into the game.
