They don’t teach about the secret war in history books. My wife’s grandfather was a Captain at the age of 16 leading US troop through the jungles of Laos. His stories are amazing.

And I definitely know Arabs that look like Andrew.

Growing up in an area that’s prevalent with Hmong people, I never thought that some people don’t even know about them. I mean our local high school has a class for just teaching the Hmong language

Hmong, or ‘Miao’ in Chinese, is an ethnicity that spreads over multiple countries in the East Asia. It is kind of like saying “I’m Celtic”, but it does not imply which country you are from, could be Britain, Ireland, France etc.

Andrew, Hmong people are awesome, very brave people with an amazing history (I’m not Hmong, just saying). Look it up, it’s super interesting.
As for recent representation, the gymnast Suni Lee is Hmong and the Hmong community were lead characters in the Eastwood film Gran Torino. I love the Hmong people ❤️ from a fellow Asian American 🇺🇸
