For everyone going on about Aberforth and goats: what if his assumed-dead-in-childbirth-love was an animagus? Whose form was a goat? Goats always having a special place in his heart afterward?
Going with the maledictus goat theory, what if childbirth is what permanently changed the mother into a goat and Abeforth kept her around. Abeforth had goats since he was young so no one would notice one more. However, Abeforth was never expelled (like one of the other comments suggested) but he was prosecuted in 1981 or 82 for inappropriate use of charms on a goat and that could have been him trying to reverse the curse. The real question is: is his obsession with goats because he saw Credances mother turn into a goat (like Nagini would do) or is it all just a weird "coincidence"?
Benefits of critiquing vs. creating. Now, I am not saying they couldn't create, far from it...but there is a reason the recent "The Batman" was awesome, its because it took notes on what came before it. Having a good theory is a creation in itself, but its nothing compared to creating from scratch. Also, never let the thought of something being less than perfect stop you from enjoying less than perfect. Perfect is a myth, enjoy imperfect while you can.
That was my thought too, I watched the video but I’m pretty sure the official answer will be ‘oh she was just some muggle girl from the village’ Quickest way from point A to point B
My take on the Dumbledore/Credence situation has always been related to book seven: "Kendra had jet black hair which she tended to wear in a high bun, dark eyes, high cheekbones, and a straight nose. Harry Potter, upon seeing a photograph of her, thought she looked Native American, possibly indicating her heritage." Credence might have been sent to America to live with relatives of Kendra Dumbledore.
@@BigBamboosh it’s not so much the timeline since these movies don’t consider that at all, it’s the fact that dumbledore would also be a descendant of slytherin too and he and his brother would be able to speak parseltongue, but it’s implied he can’t in the 6th book and it would have made it easy for him to find slytherin’s chamber and/or hear the basilisk and Voldemort almost certainly would have known after searching for his parentage for so long which would make their relationship vastly different
@@jar-jarsforceghost1352 it can possibly skip generations for ability to be parseltongue because muggle borns are descents of squibs and magic can skip generations hence getting the muggle borns.
It's possible that the "aunt" was actually the mother. It wouldn't have been acceptable for an unmarried woman with a baby to travel alone. An aunt/ governess would've been fine.
Jay and Ben go to all the trouble of coming up with well thought out and interesting theories just for warner brothers to be like ‘And Creedance’s mother is… Minerva Mcgonnacgal’
I’ve hear a couple times that Harry could have lived with other family if he had any which is wrong. He could have had a thousands Potter relatives and Dumbledore would still have insisted on Harry living with the Dursley’s. It was his mothers blood that was protecting him and the only living blood relatives of Lilly were Petunia and Dudley.
"Lily", and "Dursleys". Apostrophes denote possession or contraction but are never used for pluralisation. It was specifically Petunia that allowed the Bond of Blood Charm to work, not Dudley.
One hole in this is that while yes Nagini may speak Parseltounge, we know she also speaks French to Irma Dugard in the film so she certainly is not stuck ONLY being a Parselmouth.
My theory - I don't have a definite name but she's from Beauxbatons and probably a relative or friend of the Lestrange family. There's plenty of threads. You did a video a while back explaining that it's very likely that Albus competed in and won the 1899 Triwizard Cup. Grindelwald may well have been the Durmstrang representative, though he could have already been expelled. If it's held at Hogwarts then the Beauxbatons girls would be at Hogwarts and Grindelwald could easily have known her. A teenage fling during the Triwizard Tournament also seems somewhat more likely than Aberforth seducing a local witch during the holidays. If she's French then it explains why baby Credence ends up on the same boat as baby Corvus who we know was French; they're leaving for America from France. It also opens the door for Youssouf Kama to potentially know a lot more than he's letting on. And it would provide more duality; both Albus and Aberforth fall in love with foreign students that they meet during the Triwizard Tournament at the same time. Ultimately though the most likely outcome in my opinion is that the identity of Credence's mother is never revealed because it isn't important; the implication at the end of the film is that Credence is going to die soon.
Interesting theory, but it's said Albus fell in love with grindelwald after going back home for the summer after graduation. And I think aberforth left school to take care of Arianna because Albus was too busy plotting world domination. So I don't see Aberforth meeting anyone from beaubatons at school. Even if the Timeline did match up, and her got this girl pregnant, why was she sailing from England to America and not from France?
@@dylantd9189 The boat that Credence was on was probably going from France to America, not from England - we know that baby Corvus was French, and Corvus and Credence were swapped.
It is a cool theory, but didn't Albus say that Aberforth fell in love with a girl living in Godrick's Hollow? It is possible he's lying or assuming this OR that she did have family there.
@Feluffle Yeah, or she came to visit Aberforth during the summer holidays and Albus was paying very little attention because he was only interested in Grindelwald and their plans
Long shot here but, In Deathly Hallows, Harry sees a picture of Dumbledore's mother Kendra, I believe from Rita Skeeter's book, and he says she looked like she had some Native American features, what if Kendra is related to Isolt Sayre, by way of her daughter Martha, thus making Dumbledore a descendant of Slytherin?
i love this! martha did marry someone from a native american tribe so it actually fits! but then again, if dumbledore was a descendant of slytherin, wouldn’t he be a parselmouth? i’m on the fence as to whether it’s something dumbledore would hide from harry or not especially since harry is a parselmouth too
Credence looked like Snape to me. I'd follow the Prince family bloodline back and see if that works. Would explain why Dumbledore is always so sympathetic to Snape.
The obvious answer is just a love affair at Hogwarts. Aberforth would be in school and had a fling with Nashira Black. Why Nashira? Because Nashira is one of the stars in Capricornus...the Goat constellation and remember that "trouble" he had with charming goats...maybe he was charming someone of the goat. And his patronus being a goat might make more sense then.
I know that Harry's family is all dead. However, I always interpreted Dumbledore's words about his mother's blood. Made me think it had to be Lily's family not James'
I don't think a love potion was involved in Credence's conception. Contrary to Voldemort Credence actually cares for people his adoptive sister Modesty and Nagini most prominently. I acutally really like the idea of Credence being a descendant of Isolt Syre. I mean, the Dumbledores are already a powerfull family and like Credence Ariana managed to survive longer than most with the Obscurial inside her. (Newt tells us that there is no known case, who lived over the age of ten. Ariana was 14 when she was killed in the three-way-duell), combining that with the Gaunts (and Voldemort alone is living proof, that the family has the potential for great power) would add to his magical strengh. I hope we learn a little more about Credences mother, whoever she is.
@Kerrie Wilson ye im not sure how soon he is going to die but it is certainly said that he is dying, that doesnt really change the statement though he has still lived for 3x longer than the any other case that Newt knew about
@Kerrie Wilson ye im expecting that too, thats why i didnt write him off as already dead which i think it could be reasonable to do (although the actor has got himself in some trouble lately so maybe we wont see him again)
With his long, dark, greasy hair, the fantastic beasts creators were trying to build an obvious resemblance between Credence and Snape - is there any way these two blood lines could be linked through his unknown mother?
@@Dakkrii No, Snape's mother was born in 1930(Snape 1960). It's possible that Credence's mother was either Snape's grandmother or great-grandmother. But both seem to be too irrelevant. And I think the mother is either important for the FB story or even the whole Harry Potter universe or completely random. Also: Every time I try to tie Credence to Snape it kinda fails. - Maybe Dumbledore did trust Snape not only because he loved Lily, but also because he trusted Credence(Snape's uncle or great uncle). Too far-fetched. - Eileen's father is unknown and Credence was alive in 1929/30, but that doesn't help to find his mother and doesn't fit with Eileen having to chose between her family(wizards) and her muggle husband.
I’m interested in the Grindlewald connection. When Harry is fighting Nagini, they go through the wall and it’s a nursery. The mother may have stayed with Bathilda for sometime before the child was sent to America.
Great video! I personally like the second explanation the best because, when I was watching Secrets it felt a little weird that Aberforth who was supposed to be devoted to caring for his sister unlike Albus, had a romantic relationship on the side with a random person. However, Gellert's sister is likely to have the same kind of manipulation powers as her brother and it would deepen the duality between the brothers. Both had lovers who used them but they became stronger and better people because of it. As well as meaning that Gellert's sister ultimately used her brother's downfall, which is cool.
Honestly, they missed their opportunity by making Credence Dumbledore’s brother, because he attached his sister’s obscurus to the baby. That would have been a new kind of magic, logical and worthy of the title secrets of Dumbledore. Just imagine a scene where Newt sees all of this in the Pensieve.
7:25 I thought Harry had to live with a family member of Lily, not James, since she made the sacrifice. So those Potters wouldn't have worked. Only Lily's long lost 2nd cousin 3x removed, not James's.
Another neat thing with Martha is that she ends up marrying an American native and Harry mentions that a photo of Dumbledores mother reminded her of a native American woman so maybe that is what they started their relationship on bonding over their shared experiences as Wizards descended from American families somewhat feeling out of the water in a deeply rural village like Godric's Hollow and we know that Aberforth always had trouble fitting in.
I know this video was about where Credence came from...but... You did just bring up Martha's potential branch of the Gaunt line. You've hoped in the past that Jacob was a lost descendant of Hufflepuff, but now we have a new option. That Snakewood wand from Dumbledore could have been more significant than they pass it off as in the movie...
I'm watching the video as I edit this comment to add some other things that can contribute to each theory: - Potter woman: the Potter family also has a sort of relation with USA. One of the 12 original aurors in MACUSA was a Potter, so he could've had descendents there who could pass their summer vacations with the Potter family in Godric's Hollow and go back to USA. - Grindelwald's sister: it might not necessarily be his sister, but any other Bathilda's relative, and apparently she had many, so it would be easier for Credence to have an aunt that could take him to USA, that could be something Bathilda got for him, since she had many contacts around the world just as Dumbledore, what could include some teacher from Ilvermorny. - Marvolo's wife: you said the whole theory in another video, but if he is Merope's brother, the prophecy Yusuf said in the second movie can be related to the Gaunt siblings, not the Lestranges, and it would be talking about everything that happened to them in 1926. "A son cruelly banished" would be Morfin, since he was sent to Azkaban that year. "Despair of the daughter" would be Merope, after she was abandoned by Tom Riddle. "Return, great avenger with wings from the water" would be Aurelius, who returned to the magical world that year (returns with wings, because he is a Dumbledore - phoenix -, from the water, because everyone thought he died in that accident) - Martha Stewart's descendent: it is said that Kendra Dumbledore was a muggle born and that her appearence kind of resembles native american people. Knowing that muggle born wizards are usually descendents of squibs and that Martha's husband was a native american, Kendra herself could be Martha Stewart's descendent and the girl could be Kendra's relative, maybe Albus and Aberforth's distant cousin. Maybe Kendra could've heard the sugestion to live in Godric's Hollow from the girl's mother, or maybe they were americans and were there for her funeral. And now that I'm thinking, it could explain why Dumbledore can understand the parseltongue, but he is not able to comunicate with snakes, and it can be another reason for the Gaunts to marry their cousins, to mantain this hability, since they noticed it is lost when the blood is diluted.
My theory is the mother could have been a neighbor or family friend who helped Aberforth look after Ariana from time to time. She and Aberforth grew very close as they both would have being around the house a lot to take care of Ariana, which made them develop romantic feelings for each other. I think its possible she could have also been a Gaunt, which could explain how Credence might be a parselmouth. My guess is Credence's mother is Marvolo's niece and when she got pregnant, she feared that Marvolo would try to take Credence from her to be raised by him in their rundown shack, and force him to marry Merope when they came of age. Fearing this outcome, she gave Credence to her sister who agreed to take him with her to America and raise him far away from Marvolo's reach. This would lead to their ship sinking in the Atlantic Ocean and everyone assumed Credence drowned at sea when Leta switched Credence with her brother. Credence's aunt of course did drown trying to save who she thought was her nephew, but I think her sister who is also Credence's mother is still alive. She might still be living around Godric's Hollow or some place in the UK. We might even get to see her in the next movie (assuming it gets green-lighted).
there is also the possibility that it was just some girl at Hogwarts it always baffles me that if you lock like 500 teenagers up in a castle like this there aren't any accidental kids
@@insertclevernamehere1186 I mean we assume, or it just assumes that British people are too uptight to be fooling around like that in what is essentially a boarding school
Adding to the previous theory about Jacob's wand being off Snakewood, possibly the wand of the middle Peveral Brother. Another nice alignment would be that Jacob gives the wand to Credence, who then is able to activate the wand.
Remember that Grindelwald was a Seer, so he could have known both the truth about the baby swap and the name Aurelius from his visions. It is always a possibility. Also about Credence's "aunt" - even if she was mentioned specifically as an aunt, she might have not been a biological aunt. Maybe she was a legal guardian at the time (but not directly related) or a woman figure close to his family, you know, how children often call their parents' close friends aunts and uncles. Maybe that was also the case here (I know, weak explanation, but still a possibility).
Great Video! I have a question/possible video idea. If Nymphadora Tonks we’re an animagus, what animal would she turn into? Also, could she change the color of her fur/hair/feathers since she’s also a metamorphmagus? (Sorry for errors)
In the books Dumbledore mothers description says she resembles a Native American. The Gaunts Squib daughter married a Native American. And on top of that in the books it heavily implies that Albus Dumbledore speaks parseltongue. So speaking parseltongue would have come from the Dumbledore side of the family. Edit: I would like to add that parseltongue can only be born with and cannot be learned. It can be imitated to speak parseltongue but not understand parseltongue. And I would like to point out Dumbledore understands parseltongue.
Wait, when is it implied that Dumbledore is a Parselmouth? Edit: Huh, after some research, JK stated while he could not speak parseltongue he could understand when it was spoken.
@@Waldo_I_Am book 6 while in the pensieve meeting the Guants. Dumbledore commented about parseltongue and told Harry that he (Harry) would understand the dialogue between the Guants. I would like to point out that Dumbledore never asked Harry what was said between the Guants because Dumbledore already known what was said between them meaning he understands parseltongue. Also would like to point out parseltongue is usually associated being with dark wizards and being known as a parseltongue would ruin or really hurt Dumbledore’s reputation/prestige. The ability to speak Parseltongue is usually inborn; a wizard is born being able to speak Parseltongue, and those who are not born with the ability cannot normally learn the language en.m.wikibooks.org/wiki/Muggles%27_Guide_to_Harry_Potter/Magic/Parseltongue
@@Winterfur1 That's interesting because then there's a parallel with Isolt Sayre who claimed she couldn't speak Parseltongue but was able to understand the Horned Serpent when it spoke to her.
I also thought Gaunt first. I like your theory about the Ilvermorny tie-in. Also Grindelwald having a sister is surprising but almost caricature-esque. It would be kinda funny if absolutely everything is mirrored like that, down to an unmentioned sister.
7:25 Not true, actually: it's was Lily's relatives whose blood would keep Harry protected (she was the one who sacrificed herself, not James), hence why Petunia was the only person he could be left with. Also, I had a bit of a realisation when J mentioned the Gaunts being descended from the second Peverell brother: he used the Resurrection Stone to bring back the girl he was going to marry but couldn't because she died, then killed himself when he couldn't bring her back properly, so... when did he have children, and with who? Because if he moved on to that extent, then he wouldn't be trying to bring that girl back in the first place.
Merope didn't necessarily need to brew the love potion herself. She could have bought it, or stolen it, or acquired it in any number of other ways. I don't think Romilda Vane brewed the love potion she tried to give Harry herself.
@@JustJoe10 the last movie was all over the place. It seemed like the gave up writing it on the second draft and just wrapped everything up so they could ditch the series.
What if Credence is related to Snape? We know his mother's surname was Prince, but not were she was from. JK never said the Prince family did not have any connection to Godric's Hollow. Plus, Credence was looking allot like Snaps in 'Secrets.
I was definitely getting some Severus Snape vibes from Credence in this movie. The mother would have to be Snape's grandmother or great-grandmother, but it could be possible.
The problem with Aberforth having a son when he was 15 years old is that he cares about Ariana more than his brother. I don't believe when Albus isn't really doing a good job caring for his sister, Aberforth would just hook up with another girl at the same time.
Is he a Gaunt? A Potter? You should’ve mentioned the possibility that Credence could also be from the Prince family. And therefore a descendant of Snape.
I kept thinking throughout the movie that Credence reminded me of Snape with his longer, black hair parted down the middle. And then when Aberforth replied "Always." to him at Bhutan, it struck me again.
A major miss on people we know were in Godric's Hollow: Remember Aunt Muriel who we know was a witness at the time of the fight with Grindelwald and Ariana's funeral? She was likely too young to be the mother, but what if she had family there as well? A sister? A link with the Weasleys?
Bit of an issue with the assumption must have been in Godric's Hollow. Aberforth was 15 which means he was attending Hogwarts which means it could be anyone at Hogwarts at the time too, or indeed resident in Hogsmeade, and where do we know Aberforth lived as an adult ?.

@@wwerycrazy but she didn't talk to him, right. She can definately hear and understand others. I personally think she can speak for herself as well, but the circus leader isn't an example that proofs anything
@@wyldegi oh, yeah, the movies are very bad. No compliments there. They’re lazy and careless with the canon, but I agree that it is fun to theorize about what could have been if different people were in charge.
I was wondering that also. Do the Dumbledore brothers ever mention him by name - other than Albus using the name Credence? I would like to have seen the deleted scenes where Dumbledore seems to somehow visit Credence in the castle bedroom. Wonder if we will get them? I saw a still shot of this in promotional material.
@@kellyl6495 I don't think they do. We don't get any sentimental "Oh Aurelius. I'm sorry I left you." moment from Aberforth when he reunites with his son.
How do we know Credence is a Parselmouth? I've seen you mention this in other videos. Correct if I am wrong: in FB, when Credence speaks to Nagini, she is always in her human form. Does he ever speak to her in Parseltongue or while she is in snake form?
As far as I am concerned, it has never been mentioned or shown that they communicated through parseltongue - Nagini was always in her human form when they spoke with each other, so I am also doubtful about this one. I definitely think, that they would have emphasized it in at least a subtle way if he really could speak parseltongue (like back in the Crimes of Grindelwald, when she was forced to transform in the snake back in the circus, was that sort of moment to show the ability if he really had it)
Just a thought on why harry had to go to the dursleys. It was Lily's spell/sacrifice so it was only her blood line that would protect harry not james's side of the family. i honestly got goosebumps for like 2 minutes straight when they mentioned the other descendant of gaunt family, isolt. SCB foreal doing more than what warner bros are doing at this point.
That actually would be another case of duality if Grindelwald had two sisters since his parents would have had three children, two girls and a boy versus the Dumbledores and how they had two boys and a girl.
I recon him being a Potter fits the story better because it makes sense why he’s in the movie in the first place being a Potter and part of the prequel before Harry came along

QUICK COMMENT SECTION THEORY: Did Aberforthe put ariana’s obscurus into his son ? There are a few discrepancies between tcog and tsod now that we know Aberforthe is Credence’s father. The prophecy from the last film fits with the line “a son cruelly banished” if they sent him away, but the “dispair of the daughter” is left out. Unless the daughter refers to Ariana - the dumbledore’s daughter. The despair would refer to her obscurus and in that way Credence is two in one (the first two lines refer to him rather than just the first). On top of that, Grindlewald tells Credence that he is Dumbledore’s brother at the end of tcog. Being so close to the family during the period when Aberforthe supposedly had a child, he would surely know that he is actually Albus’ nephew - not brother. Unless the obscurus that left Ariana’s body when she died was put into the body of Aberforthe’s son, in which case Credence is both Dumbledore’s nephew AND brother. We know Aberforthe cared for Ariana more than anyone else, and I can totally believe that he would do anything to save any part of her. But the grief could also reasonably compel him to send him away. I don’t think there are any discrepancies that can’t be explained by this theory. Lemme know if I’m being crazy.
Nothing seems too off. Though despair of the daughter could also refer to the mother, or to the aunt (or 'aunt' as others have pointed out) that swam down to try to save the baby she thought was Credence.
Wasn't the prophecy about the Lestrange family? I assumed they rigged the records and that Letas brother is still alive. There are so many small hints that Grindelwald messed with the records. I also don't think they put Arianas obscurus into Credence, I think Aberforth and Albus didn't know about Credence and that they only investigated the matter when rumors spread he was a Dumbledore. Doesn't Aberforth say in the movie he didn't know? I think it's either a plothole and he was supposed to be the brother but changed it due to logical mistakes or that Grindelwald lied on purpose and chose the name "Aurelius" to stick with the A-names of the Dumbedore-siblings. Aberforth wasn't married to the mother so Credence didn't get his last name by birth (unless that's totally different in GB).
I'm glad you guys put a bar at the bottom for the commercial reads, but it kills my OCD that the line doesn't progress at a constant speed. That is my only ever complaint about these videos. Wonderful content in every other way.
Credence's mother could be Harry's grandmother who had him before she had gotten married to Harry's grandfather. There were women who had children before they had gotten married who were forced to give them up. Also they thought that Credence had died in the shipwreck so they didn't go looking for him and Aberforth didn't find out until after Credence was discovered to be alive that he was his son. Also Credence being Harry Potter's "hidden" uncle could provide motivation for Aberforth to look out for him the best way that he knows how and also to support Dumbledore's Army when they were in hiding at Hogwarts.
On the Gaunts, I have a theory that they arn't actually decendents of the 2nd brother. The 2nd brother is implied to have never gotten over his fiance's death which happened before they could consumate their bond. So unless he got drunk and went out on a night of debachery (which would make an heir illigitimate) or blood adopted a child or something like that there's no possible way for the 2nd brother to have an heir. Therefore either the Gaunts received the ring as a beneficiary thing in the 2nd brother's will or else a Guant was twisted enough to go grave robbing
The last one is really heavily leaning on the idea that Credence is a Parselmouth due to the fact that he can talk to Nagini. Honestly to me this seems like a bit of a stretch. At this current point, anyone could talk to Nagini as she's not a snake yet. If it's confirmed that Credence is a Parselmouth then sure, the logic could possibly check out, but it's a massive logic leap to assume that at this point in my opinion.
"Credence was very powerful, so he must have come from a powerful family." Like, the Dumbledores? 😁 I don't think him being powerful necessarily says anything about the mother. Muggleborns like Lily and Hermione were very powerful and their parents were powerless.
Now, I know the theory I'm about to say is going to be very far fetched but hear me out: In Fantastic Beasts 3 we find out that Credence is Aberforth's son. We also find out that Credence is dying and I'm guessing he dies before the big battle between Dumbledore and Grindelwald in 1945(Fantastic Beasts 3 is set before 1930). We get to know that Aberforth showed negligence to Credence like Dumbledore showed negligence to Ariana. But in the events of the Deathly Hallows, set in 1998, Aberforth very mad at Dumbledore for what he did to Ariana and there was also no mention of Aberforth having a son who he himself treated the same way. And Aberforth doesnt seem that big of a hypocrite so he must have forgiven or at least reduced his anger towards Dumbledore Now What If, after Grindewald is defeated, Aberforth asks Dumbledore to erase any memory of Credence(Just like Grindewald released Yusuf Kama from his memories of Leta) so that he wouldn't have to live in the pain and guilt for what he had done to Credence. This will also give a reason why Aberforth was so angry and furious at Dumbledore in 1998
Also there's the fact that Creedence's love interest goes on to join Voldemort and even helps him return to power so yeah definite connection between the two.
@@lucifersdevilishdetails. Yea me too, not sure if that was calculated based on the timeline of events or If that was explicitly stated as fact but it's a wack detail nonetheless

It's possible that the "aunt" was actually the mother. It wouldn't have been acceptable for an unmarried woman with a baby to travel alone. An aunt/ governess would've been fine.
Yeah I was thinking that too, she said she was the aunt either to get away from someone or to protect her pride.
To be fair Isolt and Gormlaith also concealed their identities when traveling to America so it fits in a way.

I thought it was so he wouldn’t get too much attention due to being famous? Or was that a cover for the truth
@@Ranger1812 didn’t say it was, only that he and his mother were the only blood relatives that were alive.
@@mystic_mimi21 that was an excuse Dumbledore gave but later revealed it was the protection of his mothers blood that protected Harry from Voldemort.
It’s literally explained in the books
One hole in this is that while yes Nagini may speak Parseltounge, we know she also speaks French to Irma Dugard in the film so she certainly is not stuck ONLY being a Parselmouth.
I pointed that out as well. They still repeat that she only speaks w Credence.
She’s destined to become one permanently, right?
That actually makes sense
I kinda love this!
She seems to have married someone from what I'm assuming is a Native American tribe, so it fits!
i love this! martha did marry someone from a native american tribe so it actually fits! but then again, if dumbledore was a descendant of slytherin, wouldn’t he be a parselmouth? i’m on the fence as to whether it’s something dumbledore would hide from harry or not especially since harry is a parselmouth too

I️ thought the same thing about looking like a prince.
And his patronus being a goat might make more sense then.
maybe nashira was a maledictus and aberforth was just trying to turn her back into a human (aka the inappropriate spells)

Also: Every time I try to tie Credence to Snape it kinda fails.
- Maybe Dumbledore did trust Snape not only because he loved Lily, but also because he trusted Credence(Snape's uncle or great uncle). Too far-fetched.

Calling Albus and Aberforth "The Dumble Bros" is perfection!
Yeah you're correct about that
Another neat thing with Martha is that she ends up marrying an American native and Harry mentions that a photo of Dumbledores mother reminded her of a native American woman so maybe that is what they started their relationship on bonding over their shared experiences as Wizards descended from American families somewhat feeling out of the water in a deeply rural village like Godric's Hollow and we know that Aberforth always had trouble fitting in.
I really love the tisherts you make, you're the only people ik of that sell bronze eagle merch
I'm actually wearing my bronze eagle shirt rn!
Jacob is a Polish Jew who would have been in Gryffindor.
I'm watching the video as I edit this comment to add some other things that can contribute to each theory:
- Potter woman: the Potter family also has a sort of relation with USA.
"Return, great avenger with wings from the water" would be Aurelius, who returned to the magical world that year (returns with wings, because he is a Dumbledore - phoenix -, from the water, because everyone thought he died in that accident)
- Martha Stewart's descendent: it is said that Kendra Dumbledore was a muggle born and that her appearence kind of resembles native american people.
We might even get to see her in the next movie (assuming it gets green-lighted).
there is also the possibility that it was just some girl at Hogwarts
it always baffles me that if you lock like 500 teenagers up in a castle like this there aren't any accidental kids

Maybe she could even have multiple Animagi forms because of being a metamorphmagus?
That is an interesting question
In the books Dumbledore mothers description says she resembles a Native American. The Gaunts Squib daughter married a Native American. And on top of that in the books it heavily implies that Albus Dumbledore speaks parseltongue. So speaking parseltongue would have come from the Dumbledore side of the family.
Edit:
I would like to add that parseltongue can only be born with and cannot be learned.
The ability to speak Parseltongue is usually inborn; a wizard is born being able to speak Parseltongue, and those who are not born with the ability cannot normally learn the language

Huh.. if two Dumbledore's have become Obscurials, does that mean it can be hereditary? More common in families that have had one in them before?
Credence's mother could be Harry's grandmother who had him before she had gotten married to Harry's grandfather. There were women who had children before they had gotten married who were forced to give them up. Also they thought that Credence had died in the shipwreck so they didn't go looking for him and Aberforth didn't find out until after Credence was discovered to be alive that he was his son. Also Credence being Harry Potter's "hidden" uncle could provide motivation for Aberforth to look out for him the best way that he knows how and also to support Dumbledore's Army when they were in hiding at Hogwarts.
I think still that a goat is the mother. The series has gone so far out there that this would be the only thing that would fit.
I’m not watching the video I just wanted to say how great the thumbnail is
I saw the film yesterday and my brain has been... Aberforth was 15!
🤩 hey brother!!!! As soon as I saw my notification I went crazy 😝. Your theories drift me off my feet. I love you guys
One of my favorite parts about this video was the clean merchandise advertising. Smooth as silk.
Why couldn't it be someone Aberforth met at Hogwarts and just visited via flue powder? Doesn't have to be a Godric's Hollow resident.
So Aberforth-I imagine he hooked up plenty alongside his fights before settling into being a grumpy goat
Albus says something along the lines of Aberforth got together with a girl from the Hollow.
If his mother was a gaunt than he would also be related to Harry
The last one is really heavily leaning on the idea that Credence is a Parselmouth due to the fact that he can talk to Nagini. Honestly to me this seems like a bit of a stretch. At this current point, anyone could talk to Nagini as she's not a snake yet. If it's confirmed that Credence is a Parselmouth then sure, the logic could possibly check out, but it's a massive logic leap to assume that at this point in my opinion.
you should do a video on Newts patronus with all that new information in the last movie
can you guys stop doing the thing where the yellow bar for the sponsor segment starts out really fast and then gets slowe and slower?
Could you maybe do a video on how Jacob was able to enter, let alone SEE, Hogwarts?
"Credence was very powerful, so he must have come from a powerful family."
Like, the Dumbledores? 😁 I don't think him being powerful necessarily says anything about the mother. Muggleborns like Lily and Hermione were very powerful and their parents were powerless.
Imagine if the creators watched this and were like "that's a great idea, its canon now."
Now, I know the theory I'm about to say is going to be very far fetched but hear me out:
In Fantastic Beasts 3 we find out that Credence is Aberforth's son. And Aberforth doesnt seem that big of a hypocrite so he must have forgiven or at least reduced his anger towards Dumbledore
Now What If, after Grindewald is defeated, Aberforth asks Dumbledore to erase any memory of Credence(Just like Grindewald released Yusuf Kama from his memories of Leta) so that he wouldn't have to live in the pain and guilt for what he had done to Credence. This will also give a reason why Aberforth was so angry and furious at Dumbledore in 1998
albus tells newt that she was just “a girl from the hollow”, so I think if it was someone he knew/became important he would have told newt this also
Yeah!! Where did Grindlewald get Aurelius’ name from?????
Also there's the fact that Creedence's love interest goes on to join Voldemort and even helps him return to power so yeah definite connection between the two.
Aberforth was 15 at the time of the child's birth? Good to know that wizards are just as bad as muggles cause I highly doubt Credence was planned
I worry that it took me a while to find a comment on the age.
@@lucifersdevilishdetails. Yea me too, not sure if that was calculated based on the timeline of events or If that was explicitly stated as fact but it's a wack detail nonetheless
The mom is actually mcgonagall, who used a time turner to go back to dumbledoor's youth for some reason

Hey, I have a theory about the deluminator in fb I wanted to share. We know that their are many alternate realities in the wizard’s world if we think about it: platform 9 3/4, the ministries, diagon alley, and the pictures/paintings universe. The deluminator could be strong enough to either create temporarily one of these realities or access one.
Anyways great video as always
Harry could not have lived with any other member of the family except for someone related to Lily The blood magic is Lily's blood
Who Is Credence’s Mother? Professor Minerva McGonagall, there ya go.
I am shocked! I was sure, if Aurelius was truly a Dumbledore, then he was surely Ariana's. A result of the attack by those unnamed boys.
She was a child when she was attacked. Not even 7 years old at the time- when magic first starts to show in magical children unless they suppress it.
