      Great suggestion. While we briefly address stress in several videos, we don't have one fully dedicated to it so we will make sure to record that soon!

    It would be extremely, extremely helpful to have an episode on how to adjust a WPBD to increasing levels of blood glucose. In 2008 my eGFR was 63 at which time I transitioned to a WPBD that I continue to the present. Starting in 2019 my glucose levels have slowly increased above normal range and my LDL is climbing as well. By joining Levels Health I now wear a CGM that gives me feedback in real time as to how the food I eat affects my glucose levels. The shocking revelation was that my two daily (supposedly healthy carb WPBD) meals cause a huge spike in my glucose levels. I weigh 100lbs, 5’3”, age 75, use EVOO sparingly,current eGFR 45, HbA1c 5.8,no proteinúria, drink only water, walk daily. Both my PCP and the Nephrologist I see once a year are of NO help. What can I do to prevent from becoming a full diabetic and worsening my dislipidemia? There are others in my circle who are experiencing the same thing. Please, please address this issue. Thank you.

      We can definitely dive into this in an episode! Would highly recommend working with a specialized renal dietitian 1:1 though so that the guidance/recommendations can be individualized. You can reach out to Michele via the contact form on her website: www.plantbasedkidneys.com and she can help you find a renal dietitian to work with!

    is salmon ok to eat with ckd ?

    • @PlantBasedKidneyHealth
      @PlantBasedKidneyHealth  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We have another video on fish and CKD you can check out! Salmon is an animal protein, but does have omega 3 benefits. So it's important to make sure you're eating a portion that meets your individual protein and potassium needs (salmon is a higher potassium fish) and pair with veggies if you choose to eat fish.
