Greetings from Latvia, happy New Year - and keep on beating on these old metals, and for god's sake - sharing it with us.
I was well into my old Citroen's having only sold my last one, a low miles BX auto three years ago. So I followed the restoration process of Mike Brewer's SM a few years back. I did actually see the car at a Citroen club meet once. What I did like was the car had not been "over restored" but had been done sympathetically as they say. If you look on the open bonnet shots in the video above you can see a brass plate on the slam panel with a few details about the restoration.
Wow, those Tyrell teasers are addictive: SM, '73 Dino Coupe, the Miura SV on a rotisserie, and finishing touches on the magnificent 350GT. When current I dd and club show car an idential XJ12C Regency red with the black top, as seen lurking in the SM background. That is truly worthy too. Harry Metcalf agrees!
Nice to learn some history of you and Harry! I follow both of you but I really like your channel as you will introduce projects that we can follow the sometimes extensive restorations. The cherry on the top so to speak is when you take that project out for the first test drive.
The SM looks amazing, when I was I think 13 or 14 I lived in Oxfordshire only a few miles from where Harry Metcalfe now lives and a Norwegian neighbour purchased one new in exactly the same colour, I can remember it had a few problems and had to be taken back to the dealership which I think was in London by recovery truck for repairs but it’s such an amazing car
As always a total delight to watch Iain and his talented team work through some amazing restorations on equally amazing cars. The Ferrari Dino 246 Gt is one of those dream cars I always have loved, and luckily some years ago managed to have a ride in one. Just stunning. If i lived in the UK i would be honoured to have Iain and his team look after my minor Italian classics as i know they would be in the very best hands but alas I live in Tassie and hence have to make do with a local mechanic. Trying to find someone to do excellent restoration work here is extremely difficult as most bodywork shops are only interested in modern cars and insurance work.. Happy Christmas to you Iain and your team.

Love to see the end result of the Dino, what a beaut!
This is like a Candystore: I want to touch, feel and take it all ! Wow lot's of great videos in the making with all these great, great cars !
What a beauties you have there Tyrrell!
Great video.
And ... Merry Christmas!
The Espada is my all time favourite Lamborghini. Love seeing Harry’s Espada.
Sounds like the Espada is still a bit unhappy on tip-in.
Love these videos. Always click straight away as soon as I see a new one.
I enjoy these workshop updates, thanks. Looking forward to seeing the SM, especially when the interior is done - a lovely art deco feel to them.
That SM. wow.
To buy the car that rekindled your love for cars is the ultimate dream of any car enthusiast. What a dream anecdote Ian. An enthu-cutlets fairytale!
Fantastic selection of wonderful cars 👏👏
Harry got me here, and he also got to me to Retropower..
Thanks Harry.
Nice to learn some history of you and Harry! I follow both of you but I really like your channel as you will introduce projects that we can follow the sometimes extensive restorations. The cherry on the top so to speak is when you take that project out for the first test drive.
Very excited for a video about the SM! Just subscribed.
Another brilliant video, thank you! And, Happy Holidays to you and your family.
I love the American muscle cars like the Challenger you had on recently, but everyone of these beauties in your shop are a work of art!
Great content. Thanks Iain.
