  • Thank you for everyone's patience awaiting this next episode! It's been a very busy couple of months away from the channel and a longer break than intended, but we're back and looking forward to bringing you lots of exciting content in 2021!
In this episode, Iain brings us up to speed with the restoration of the 350GT, the fifth ever production Lamborghini, following work to repair the body. Iain shares some of the history of the original Lamborghini V12 designed by Giotto Bizzarrini and it's importance in the history of the company, it's use spanning four decades, albeit with some changes, right through to production of the Murcielago in the early Noughties. And as luck would have it, Iain happens to have one of those in the workshop as well, so he shares some insight into this most modern iteration of the V12, before taking it to stretch it's legs.
Thank you once again to everyone for the overwhelming reception of these videos and for all the support of likes, subscribes and wonderful comments.

I think Ian Tyrrell has it wrong too.
C followed by i is pronounced 'ch' in Italian, eg Lancia is pronounced 'Lan-cha'
I think Murcielago should be 'Mur-chay-lar-go'
FWIW in Italian, g followed by i or e is soft, like a j. But 'gh' followed by i or e is hard... so 'Lamborghini' is a hard g, as in 'gone', not a soft j sound like 'gee'

The word means "bat" in Spanish and was the name of a particular Spanish fighting bull, like so many other names of Lamborghini cars. The only difference is that, as V8 says, "c" followed by "I" or "e" in European Spanish is pronounced "th", other Spanish speakers would pronounce it as "s", just as Iain does.

I need to do some work to my Alfasud Ti. As soon as I think I might be able to take a break from ALL your videos, CX 25 GTi Turbo catches my eye. The Alfasud has won. I’m off out to the garage 😂

Your comments on 3 cyl torque is so true. Triumph took advantage of this in making their Speed Triple’s strong pull from 2500rpm on!

I'd been hoping a new video would be coming out soon. 100% entertaining, thanks for making these. I love the videos for the content, and I love checking out what you've got in the shop. It's interesting to see cars recently for sale and at auction that turn up there. And is that a Silhouette on the ramp? One of my favourite ever cars from being a kid.

wow how fascinating. the details such as, V12s firing pulse feeding into the crankshaft, and therefore being less torque-y than V8s, the physics of it, cylinder pulses - this man is classy, the channel is so educational almost to the point of answering life long, childhood car enthusiast questions - while at the same time satisfying our desire to see cars and restorations. thank you.

Top notch presentation. These videos make a bit sad though, I have to say. At that time an Italian car was an Italian car. A German car was a German car and so forth. If someone had a car from abroad in your neighbourhood it was something like an ambassador for the country it came from. Nowadays: global cars.

Loved the restoration work done on the 350GT, I was disappointed with the sound of the Murcielago it sounded muffled and not as intoxicating as the earlier Lamborghini examples.

Thank you for the video, it was brilliant. As for the Murcielago, one of my favourite cars.
I was at a track day at Thruxton when the Murcielago first came out and they had a brand new one there and a guy who owned a 911 Turbo was there and thinking of buying one, so what better way of test driving one than driving it around a race track.

It is very quiet as you said and the change is slick, almost doesn't suit the super car image but
good to see none the less. The scissor doors are so sleek compared to the abomination used on the McLarens. Are you going to install wheel arch liners for protection even though they weren't
    fitted when new? I would.
