@MonsieurHiroshima I can understand why because Churchill was a racist. I support him due to the fact that he led this country in a victorious warfare, as well as mostly help from our allies. However, nothing at all will make me feel proud to be British.
@MonsieurHiroshima I think a better way to word it, is that I'm grateful as the of the while nation is too, that we weren't defeated. I don't ever appreciate his wrong doings as of racism. He wasn't a good person by no means.
@MonsieurHiroshima Wait, what? I have no self-hatred nor docI think whites are the only racists. To be honest, I don't really think about racism nor have anything to do with it. No, racism cannot be completely eradicated since lookism and racism will always be something that humans are natural to. Yes, I believe we should be equal, but we aren't, because others simply believe that one race is more superior than others, probably because they came from a statistically poorer country or demographic. No, I am not clued up on history of war, politicians or government bodies. Churchill was a racist and believed that we should take over those who were seemingly poorer and less dominant than the white race. That was how it was back then. That was how we functioned. Now, Churchill was a bad person, but the only thing I can say positive ever about him, was that he was our prime minister that had led thos country to victory, as well as the allies did of whom helped us big time. Most the credit goes to allies. Now, racism will continue and we cannot eradicate it, but don't hate on a race, hate the individual who is a negative influence on others. I don't hate a race. I'm not a racist. I like individuals who are seemingly decent who aren't assholes to me. That's mostly what I care about. Sure, most terrorists come from a middle eastern decent and there are people out there who are absolutely deluded to believe that all Muslims are bad. They're not. That's like saying all the Irish are bad because there was a terrorist organisation called the IRA that caused widespread arson and threats in the UK. So, in fact, I'll say what I want. I'm not being critical in anyway shape or form. I believe you are blowing this out of proportion by saying that I am "stupid" and shit. Why? What have I said that's so bad, because there is not one hint of negativity that I have said that was cause an upset.
I remember the first time I saw a Jaguar. I think I was around 13 so this was 1994. I was a farm kid from western Canada. We were going to the city on a Saturday and this big red car with big head lights came up like a shot and blows by us. I say "Dad what was that?" He say "that was a Jaguar." I say "that things awesome" he says "yeah and they have V12s in them." I was hooked ever since. I think it was a late 80s xj. I will never forget that.
The way Jeremy describes cars he loves is a thing of beauty. It’s when he is his most genuine. When driving the Disco Vilante he described the engine, exhaust notes as Otis Redding.
I'm British only in distant family heritage, never even been there before, but this was so incredibly awesome and patriotic that I couldn't help but grin like a little kid. And I'm American, so that's so blasphemous that it's practically unspeakable. The people of the UK have a lot to be proud about, from the country to the E-Type's legacy; even if the latter sometimes doesn't start. :P

I have seen the 77RW car in person in the Jaguar museum. It was like a dream. Only after I returned home and read about it I realized how unique it is. It's the 1st E-Type ever made and it went from Coventry to Geneva auto show on its own right after it left the factory.

Great way to mark it's 50th Thank you Sir Jeremy Clarkson KGB (Knight order of the Grear Box)
I'm so glad that Count Basie was mentioned. One of the best from the swing era.
The greatest achievement made by Britain after the E-type: Jeremy Clarkson.
Every so often, Jezza and the old Top Gear production team produced some stunning films. This is one of them.
3:50 Well, I've just had a "crisis."
my god i had a heart murmur when i heard that
a 4.7 straight six ... sure it will sound deep and orgasmic :D
Phu5ion innit the best sound ive ever heard
Phu5ion I'll get the tissues
I lost it when he said “it won’t start” 😂
I had a 2+2 not starting was a given nonetheless I loved that jaguar
This is possibly the best thing I have ever watched.
I agree with jeremy clarkson. The eagle e-type speedster is the best looking car i've ever seen.
4:25 is a true love declaration
When Jeremy loves something, his heart and soul, are out, in full display 🥰
I’ve seen the Eagle speedster with my own eyes, it’s THE most beautiful car I’ve ever seen, it’s flawless & drop dead gorgeous.
"To remind us that once upon a time, we really were as great as we think we are now". That actually gave me goosebumps. E-type is truly the greatest car ever
Now England is a poor European Country ~ cuz they can't even heat their homes in the cold winters😂😢!
How does a show like Top Gear go from making you laugh so much to almost reducing you to tears? It's amazing
one of the best sounding cars ive heard! eagle roadster
I think this video could easily pass as the best tribute to a car ever.
Just wonderful... This is why Clarkson will never be matched. Plus one of my favourite Merlin flypast sounds ever! 😍
And you're right: both the Spitfire and the Hurricane were powered by the Merlin, as was the legendary P-51 Mustang a couple of years later.
Jeremy.... Where to start sir... You are truly an insipration to the car industry. Your truthful and honestly the best car presenter that we have ever had. we look forward your trio specials in the Grand Tour. Much love from your fans always. 'Insert in love face here'
As a rare American I have a strong respect for the British and their engineering. I appreciate my own Countrys past successes but the United Kingdom has a much more elegant past than America. Fat tires and going fast in a straight line is great but Cars like the E type and others and even cars like an MGB are really something special. The kind of special you can only get from England. Truly beautiful classic cars.
HappyRage I love you
In my dream garage, there is an e-type, shelby gt 500, porsche 911 turbo, Aston db5
And a brit-america collaboration car, Cobra AC Super Snake
corvette stingray was a close call though, but shelby gt 500 tops it in my books
What's a rare American?
(so many punchlines spring to mind)
You do realize America has multiple equivalents to the E-type right? Best part about the American equivalents is that they are reliable.
"It won't start"
LMBO!
I’ve watched that lots of times and it still gives me goosebumps every time a true British icon the Eagle speedster to me is the most beautiful car in the world
"It won't start." Just when you think, 'geez, he's pretty much overdone this to American-type proportions', we get a brilliant dose of full-on, British self-deprecating humour. Outstanding.
"The belgians have a urinating infant"
-Jeremy Clarkson, 2011
And yet it’s true. The Belgians have a weird relationship with statues.
Wish I could give a million thumbs up to this video, Clarkson is just the best, the very end was even better than all the fanfare 😂
Top Gear won't be the same again without Jeremy!
02:00
That shot and that music gives me chills every time.
The last two minutes... I mean... mind blowing! Literally moved to tears
What in the world is the budget for an episode of Top Gear?
I'm sure jaguar chipped in
@@Piedutch And the military volunteered to help.
One of the most beautiful car bodies ever designed.
As an American, yes, yes, double yes...this Eagle speedster is the most beautiful thing on four wheels. This how the Jag E-type should have been.....without all the tacky chrome bits..........a pure shape....It kinda shaped like a Woman isn't it?.....the best shape there ever was...
I have seen the 77RW car in person in the Jaguar museum. It was like a dream. Only after I returned home and read about it I realized how unique it is. It's the 1st E-Type ever made and it went from Coventry to Geneva auto show on its own right after it left the factory.
Old top gear hits differently than the new one we miss these 3 blokes Jeremy, James and Richard had a chemistry to the show that will never ever be matched again.
02:00 what a beautiful image.
does anybody know the name of the piano music 4:30 really inspiring
+TopGear Just saw this episode, and hearing this song in combination seeing this car and feeling Jeremys desire is just a beautiful combination
Jack Richards
ascolta-ludovico einaudi
No lambo no ferrari no porsche has the beauty of the jaguar e type roadster
+Carlitox b Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder?
+Joris0815 Plus the 288 GTO and Enzo and Lamborghini Miura/Murcielago SV
+Carlitox b i agree with you totally but again E type was design by Italians...aston martin DB too..
Joris0815 great choice, I agree !!
+giorgos hristidis No, it was designed by an english bloke called Malcolm Gilbert Sayer.
The Spitfire flyby is just pure epicness at 150 % !
4:00 that's intake and exhaust being that good and that is magical on a front engined car wow
