- Garen and Ellie continue their van conversion. Shae fixes her fuel line & pump on her car but it does not go as planned. Before we can begin the outdoor tub project, we need to install the foundation and frame. Happy Independence Day! After several weeks of binge watching all of your weekly peeks and full episodes because I only discovered you a few weeks ago, I am now all caught up and wish there were more videos each week. Can't get enough of your amazing and wonderful family! Shae, you are awesome for fixing your own car. I'm sure you have learned a lot from your dad and brothers about cars and just fixing things in general and figuring things out as you grew up. Way to go! Also can't wait to see how the jacuzzi tub installation turns out, and also Garen and Ellie's van. And what a sweet way to end this week's episode with your day at the lake. Little Azalea and the pups enjoying the water. So fun!

There is something so special about watching grandparents interact with their grandchild/grandchildren. I watched the love my parents had for my son (being adopted I had them present at my son's birth so we could experience it as family - something they didn't have with me {not for everyone - get it}]. I asked my Dad and Mum why they are so calm with all things kids do - response 'Because we can hand them back to you'. Whilst most of my family is now gone, your videos make me remember the joy that is a family. Thank you.

I have not been a follower for such a long time, but i think i have been looking over 100 Peeks. It has been nice to follow you from the first moment. The daily life, and all the project you have. The different seasons, and the life`s mysteries og life and things that change our daily routine , as when you got cancer Gary. It change a holde family, and its great of you to show it on Internet. I hope you feel better day by day. this episode Grandma is there to cook. I get surprised because this is food i know well. This is how my grandma use to stay, and make "dumplings" for my family. It was always a special time to stay out in the kitchen with her, and learn to make food. I come from Norway, and i did not know that you have Norwegian and Swedish relatives. Something that is an undercurrent in this show but which should be called out since it is such a rock, such a foundation, is that if you have support from those that love you you can do amazing things. Don't discount that. Those of us that grew up in abuse and without that are amazed. We love y'all in proportion to the amount that we can not understand you or your life or how it might be with love like that. You give us hope. Understand that I speak for a lot of your viewers. There are a lot of us that suffer and find redemption in your love that we have not experienced.
Agreed! It's part of what makes this channel so engaging to me... They "seem" to like each other. I've been watching closely, and still waiting for the other shoe to drop. ;-)
@@jamesclark6142 Me too- I love the relationship and realise that they are not going to put up the stupid tiffs that families have. I am glad to see though that, whatever happens off-camera, they are able to support and help each other again with what seems to be genuine love and humour.

I think is a chain reaction mum honours and loves dad, he has emotional capacity to encourage everyone to reach full potential. A wonderful observation you make. The power of the family unit must never be underestimated in society. To have the family all together working as a unit is amazing.

Azalea looked so adorable falling asleep on the boat. She is going to learn so much from all of you. When Azalea looks up when her Dad is talking you can see the love in here eyes, just like when she looks at her Mom.

I strongly suggest reconsidering using the spray foam in the van, off-gasing could be a problem with the new baby, especially in the heat out there. Checkout @Max&Lee’s recent van conversation in Australia, he has some really good ideas to insulate effectively.
As I stated before, I wish every family in this great country were more supportive, understanding, excepting, and fun loving as yours. For all those out there without please don't give up. Happy B Day America and may peace be with all who are trying so hard.

Here's an idea for the hot tub, as you are putting in the glass bottles for decoration how about putting rope lights( like you get for outdoor light at Christmas) behind them, then at night the light can shin through the bottles, sorry Gary to give you another job if the girls like this idea. Happy July 4th! Not warm enough here, western Washington, to be in the lake. But we might go fishing...
When Garen and Ellie first talked about their trim issue something in the back of my mind said that there is a way to bend the trim without it breaking. Have they thought about steaming the trim pieces? It's how they used to make barrel staves and the curved wood on wooden sailboats, I believe. If the pieces aren't too long, you might be able to rig up something in the barbecue. The water only needs to be hot enough to make steam and the wood only needs to be steamed long enough to become flexible. Just a thought.
Good job, Shea. I love the accent and that you will come down out of the atmosphere to call an Uber for your stranded family/friends. lol

Years ago my father gave me one of his older vehicles to get back and forth to work and kids to school. One day I pull up to buy gas and the timing belt broke. 10 year later ( give or take a week) I happen to pull in to buy gas at that same pump from 10 years ago and that timing belt broke. Go Shea!

First, that is one BEAUTIFUL baby!!! Secondly, Shea has entirely to many "Thingys"!!! She has a thingy for this and a thingy for that, pretty soon she's going to be rolling in thingys and not knowing what to do with herself 😂. And when she said "They gave us replacement parts for the parts we break (paraphrasing that statement)" I thought I was gonna die laughing. and I don't know where she came up with that accent but it's "BOMB-DIGGITY!!!"

I forgot to tell you sooner, but I was just replanting the suckers off my tomatoes. In your aquaponics, don't throw away the suckers off your tomato plants, they grow well in the hydroponic media.

I am sure you have thought about it but the metal that was removed on the interior of the van is structural. It helps when you get in an accident to save from crushing. Maybe you were able to add strength by the welding that you did. I wasn’t sure. I just thought I would mention it. I am sure you will enjoy. We love our conversation van.

It's great to see Shae learning how to keep her car running although I'd probably toss a fire extinguisher in her car since she is having to deal with fuel issues/leaks. At least the car chose the best Orielly's to break down in front of since that's the hub store for the town.

Ten bucks says that jacuzzi is going to end up apart of the aquaponics
My father (a professional handyman) says if your tub bottom is going to sit on the concrete slab you need to put a piece of foam board down first to create a thermal break. Otherwise, the concrete will suck up the heat from your bath tub. He also says if you want to make your shower/bath house more like an actually room with a roof, but still see the stars, you could use clear polycarbinat panels. I would like to suggest/know if you are going to put a floor in the shower and tub rooms like maybe a textured concrete floor to prevent slipping.

Garen... please note... if you remove structural reinforcing steel from the interior of your Van project.... please make a modified support structure... or your car could potentially peel like a sardine can if you are involved in an accident.

Check your instructions sometimes those hot tubes need you to immerse the bottom of the tub "IN" a bed of cement for the jacizzi's support. I had one and we missed it and the floor of the jacuzzi wasnt and it cracked. Love your show👍💖

From personal experience I have always put a couple of gallons of water and a roll of duct tape in my trunk. So good that you are learning how to take care of your vehicle!
