My point was that the environment is a more imminent problem. The longer it takes to solve this problem, the more trouble we're causing for our planet, which in turn will impact us through the likes of extreme weather and climate refugees. The more people who work on resolving this situation, the faster we will likely find a solution. What Elon talks about is equally important in the long run (and personally, I think I would have enjoyed working in those fields more), but we're not "running out of time" the same way we are with environmental challenges.
I agree with those topics being necessary for our progression, but it doesn't help us achieve the end goal of mass power storage and interstellar travel.
I’m 22 right now and own a tiny company, it’s never going to be something extremely important to people but I know if I grow it the way I imagine it to be, it will help millions in a small way.

I think the guy who is interviewing Elon Musk took his #1 advice seriously. He worked on it to build Chat GPT & he is Sam Altman by the way!

I think his answer is a great testament to how benevolent Musk really is. The question was "What would he work on if he were 22?" And his answers all had the same characteristic of "do what's best for society"
It's also sad though cause his answer wasn't do what makes you happy. Makes you wonder if he is, and if so how much, sacrificing his happiness for the greater good of humanity.
"A small amount of change for a large group of people would be good. Stuff doesn't have to change, the world needs to be good."
I like that.
When your essay assignment is 750 words and you only have 200
I honestly think he forgot the question halfway through 😂

He only gave 2 from the 5 problems, and surprisingly they are both interconnected.
1. AI
2. Health Tech (Genetics & Neurology )
Bridging the gap of using AI in the Health-Tech space primarily in solving genetics and neurology related topics.
TH-cam recommending this to me when i am 22 😂😂
Same. The question in title is a quicktap for me.
He goes off in his mind at a tangent. I get a row for this.
proud to say im a genetics major and absolutely love it. Genetics should be taught a lot more in elementary/high school
Lol no, as someone who has to study a lot more than the average american(India high school curriculum is a lot more thorough), all I can say is it makes me feel miserable. As much as I would love to learn more, it gets a bit stressful having to study for grades and exams when you have something else you're interested in

I'm 22 and feel 34. I just realized I was 22 some weeks back thanks to the lockdown. I almost forgot how young I still am while caught up with work and life responsibilities. I almost cried in laughter that evening. Okay maybe I did, but not much.
Elon looks really cute in this interview. Really cool jacket too.
Who cares about the way he looks its what he does that amazing😂
Every year he looks more and more like tony stark lol.
One of the best things about being a Genius is that your creativity and shelf life doesn't depend on your age
You are creative your entire life
And often your best creations come in a later time of your life
It's not like being a soccer player or being a "jock" where your career depends on how young you are
Can we just appreciate that this is Elon Musk telling the CEO of OpenAI (ChatGPT) to focus on AI 7 years ago?
Musk started OpenAi. Not airman’s bozo headass
People, stop looking for motivation in these videos. An important thing to remember is that motivation will get you started, but dedication will keep you going.
True, if it needs motivation you haven’t found your passion yet
Notice how he talks about fighting Dementia and Alzheimer's 3 years ago ("If he was 22") and just recently suggested Neuralink could be used to send Electromagnetic pulses to fight those and other brain disorders as well. This man is on a great mission.
Is anyone going to talk about how much the interviewer is just staring.
The fact that he had a hard time thinking of something somewhat “useless” just goes to show how much ahead Elon is
Interesting mention of the bandwidth constraint. Aircraft are already in prototype stages for being controlled with nothing but the human mind - connected directly to thought
Surprised he didn't talk about saving the environment or contributing to clean energy resources.
The argument would be that there's already a lot of resources and people working in that field, so an individual person's impact may not be too high.
My point was that the environment is a more imminent problem. The longer it takes to solve this problem, the more trouble we're causing for our planet, which in turn will impact us through the likes of extreme weather and climate refugees.
The more people who work on resolving this situation, the faster we will likely find a solution. What Elon talks about is equally important in the long run (and personally, I think I would have enjoyed working in those fields more), but we're not "running out of time" the same way we are with environmental challenges.
yea because building electric car is actually bad for the environment
I love how the interviewer is hanging on every word that Elon is saying

I'm 21, software developer for a company, and trying to create a business, for sure I will start study AI as service
I didn’t understand a word he said but I trust him because he’s the richest man in the world rn
The scary thing about AI is that by the time we realize it went wrong, our errors may be irreversible.
Yeah, one may only hope that people who are intelligent enough to develop it are also smart enough to be fucking careful with it 😶
China Was Not Careful When They Developed Covid 19.
To Spill All Over Our World 🗺
I agree with those topics being necessary for our progression, but it doesn't help us achieve the end goal of mass power storage and interstellar travel.
What a beautiful mind. AI, genetics, the human brain, and bringing good into the world.

His pauses gives him a time to think the right words to deliver. "Such a great technique in an interview".
Five problems Elon would work today.
Important factor: doesnt' have to change the world, not high value but just wholesomely useful and good for society.
Special mentioned:
games, improvement on photo sharing.
1 Artificial Intelligence (technology)
2 Genetic reprogramming (medical)
3 high band interface
(Computer)
The Interviewer looks really smart. Should start working on AI.
