Its pretty interesting how his drumming has changed from album to album. I kind of prefer the more frantic drum parts on Singularity and Discoveries but Node and Mesmer have a more nuanced approach. I love his use of space. Always fun to watch!!

Nic is criminally underrated. Even with their newer stuff that isn't as complex as their early stuff, he still finds ways to be really creative with his drum parts.

That is some crazy angle on that snare . I guess that's one way to make sure you get a rim shot every time- LOL Morgan Rose (Sevendust) said these guys were legit. I agree. This drummer does a lot but not too much and has great feel. Solid player

Yeah, it's a pretty common technique for metal these days to do only rimshots.
Not sure about that. But, like sinborn41214 mentioned, he rests his stick on the snare after every hit. And that resting position probably makes it look like a rim shot.
