You did excellent restorative work on your loco and cars !! I appreciated the more moderate running speeds because most tin-platers run their trains at break-neck speeds.

That is a great restoration. I have the same passenger cars. I like your layout as well.

Great video. I’ve always been a big fan to the 671 & those passenger cars.
I have a 671 however, I use the silver passenger cars. I’ve never been as lucky as you and found those that you have. I’m jealous. They are super good. Great smoker. Your layout is very nice. Thanks for sharing.

I'd have to check the books (they're in the other side of the house and one floor up) but I don't think those green passenger cars were in production for very long, maybe only a year or two. The silver cars predominate.

The bulb smoke unit was 1946 production only. You are lucky to have the additional weight installed. I don't believe that you have the correct tender.

After some research the tender would have been the 6 wheel Pennsylvania tender for this set. Still looks good with this one though

Wow, that was a great find. I love those older engines! Nice job I look forward to some more videos.

I was at that show on Sunday, and also found something I didn't expect to find...an auxiliary water tender for my recently-upgraded (formerly Proto-1, now PS-3) N&W Class A, at a really good price. Good thing that was the only thing I found that day, as I went and scored sixteen freight cars at Cabin Fever's MTH warehouse auction the next day :D

Very nice and those cars cleaned up well. And smoke pellets are plentiful in the market place.

For the corner, where everything slows down, I would suggest soldering the track joints in that area. It’s probably a loose pin, and soldering will overcome that issue. Do it for the outside rail for points, then for the center if that fails. Good luck!

Very cool. I have the earlier 671 from 1946. Where did you get the parts from?
