If papasmurf Turner to Chaos his ocd would probably overwrite the warp, in a week they would have a taxation office with tzeench as accountant, a resort with slanesh as manager, a Gym with khorne as trainer and a public healthcare system with doctor nurgle
@Angry JayByrd tbh if gman fell, hed probably master his inner chaos either way and actually have control of himself. Hed basically be huron blackheart times a trillion. ...that's kind of horrifying to consider
Am I the only one who thinks that Ferris Manus makes a really cool champion of Nurgle? I think it's a more unique idea to have rusting metal and techno-organic viruses as a theme of a legion.
Cool, but what if he instead fell to the void Dragon giving us a legion of proper cybernetic abominations. The omnisiah is here to purge the weakness of flesh!
I actually really like the idea of the Alpha Legion and Night Lords working together on Istvan due to their similar battle styles. I can imagine them uniting in canon to cause massive havoc but enjoy pondering what they'd be capable of as loyalists.
Was a cool idea. The blood angels falling to slaanesh was off to me though, I felt like they'd be the legion of khorne if the HH was reversed. Can't really see any of the loyalists going to slaanesh, maybe a route through pride with a couple chapters but not degeneracy
One thing I like about Perty in this scenario is his ending: the Emperor wants to make him the Praetorian of Terra, putting him in charge of humanities largest and most significant worlds. Instead, Perty asks the Emperor to be relived of his service to the Imperium so that he can retire to the countrysides of Olympia. The Emperors response? “At last I am certain. You truly are my son!”
@@alperakyuz9702That’s just it though; he didn’t even want to rule. He just wanted to retire to a country estate and live out the rest of his life in peace; a dream the Emperor more than likely had in the OG setting.
*10,000 years later* “yo, chaos rogal is back, we need you to-“ *cracks power fist knuckles, loads arm cannons, charges up shoulder mounted lascannons and readies shoulder mounted rockets* “yep.”
@@synergy8879 Even Better: “My lord…Rogal has returned” Perturabo sighs, wiping the sweat from his brow with one massive hand. His fields have been tended, his animals seen to, and the Servitors have standing orders to maintain the homestead, at any cost, alongside enough credits to pay for routine maintenance. In one hand, he holds a farming scythe, the blade Dark with stains that may have been blood, or perhaps just dirt. He looks up, away from his son, and at the suit of advanced power armour he has kept locked away within his homestead for almost ten centuries. His gaze narrows, focusing on the power hammer hanging above it in a hermitically sealed capsule, then the emblem emblazoned upon the breastplate; a skull wrought of iron and steel, leering at him from behind the glass, as if it were mocking his attempts at mundanity, calling him weak for attempting to run from the War he knew was coming. “I gave up the life of a soldier ten centuries ago. I was not forced as some may believe, and I was not threatened. It was... It was simply a life I no longer wanted to lead, and which I still wish to deny, but can no longer. if what you say is true, and my brother has returned from the Warp, then it seems as though I have no choice but to act” Perturabo then rises from his oversized armchair and swings his scythe in a swift glittering arc, the blade smashing through the protective armor-glass enshrining his ancient battle plate as though it were the shell of an egg. He drops the tools of his trade, and reaches out to lay one mighty hand upon the silvered metal of the breastplate, over the leering skull. “And so the old song begins again,” he says ,”The song of war and death, played by the fiery mouths of a thousand boltguns. Return to your chapter, my son. Be assured, I will follow momentarily. After an hour, the Primarch of the Iron Warriors emerges from his homestead, clad in his panoply of war. His mighty hammer rests head down upon the ground, while the ancient targeting mechanisms within the armour begin to reboot. It is time; the Lord of Iron has returned, and he speaks to the Ether in a voice like cold thunder. _+Dorn…I am coming for YOU!+_
“Father, I want to propose to my eldar girlfriend!” “Son, the eldars look down on us as if we are primates, If an eldar would have an affection towards a human, it would be seen as if a human wants to marry a monkey” “So.. No heads?” “Unfortunately son, no heads” *Roboutian heresy commences*
LIIVI: Roboute Guilliman, Primarch of the ultramarines ex loyalist of the Imperium. Tell me why did you turn on the Imperium like I did? Was it Eldar booty?
reading about Angron staying loyal, and *without* the Butchers Nails in his head, is pretty cool. Loyalist World Eaters that were so loyal, effective, and honorable that the Inquisition chose not to mess with them, outright preventing the Months of Shame War. and Magnus staying loyal was cool, too. that's definitely worth making them an army in Dark Crusade and Soulstorm, and an armor set in Space Marine.
It didn’t hurt that the Inquisition knew that if they tangled with the World Eaters, they’d get spit roasted because then the WEs would call in the Word Bearers who would take the side of their cousins
what about an Angron that has the butcher's nails still embedded, but learns to translate his rage and aggression into a more constructive outlook. i think that would be more interesting than just him never having it
So here's an idea I've had, instead of the primarchs falling, Big E does. Instead of planning to use the webway to cut humanity off from chaos as much as possible, he uses the great crusade as a ritual of sacrifice to make himself a new god of chaos, taking inspiration from how Slaanesh was born. The ensuing war is all the primarchs realizing "oh balls, dad's completely lost his mind", and all teaming up to work together against Big E and his chaos bananas and cultist guard. Just to make it even more complete, you could have them teaming up with Xenos who realize how down the shit has gone to turn the setting even further on its head than it's already gotten. Resulting in a final battle on Terra where, just for the hell of it I'll say Horus, sacrifices himself keeping "The 5th God Neoth" occupied while everyone else carries out the desperate final play, destroying the Sol System entirely. This results in Big E punching his own second Eye of Terror into the Galaxy where our solar system used to be, and the Imperium's zealous faith being based on Horus' martyrdom rather than Big E's protection. Also the capital of this Imperium would probably end up being ultramar since Sol just got Exterminovad
The problem is, Big E upbringing is too mysterious and complicated to actually make a scenario of him falling into chaos, and if it did, the unification war , and the creation of primarch themselves would be vastly dufferent from the canon, and so does the great crusade, so no, unlike many replies here, i don't think it can work properly
I think that a 100% loyalist Alpha Legion, doing everything to keep chaos from entering the universe/threaten the imperium, would be basically the most OP thing the Imperium could have. Like destroying any and all threats with trillions of (Sleeper)Agents and having Eyes any and everywhere would be a rock hard defense
Legend of the five rings has a faction called the scorpion clan, and they have powerful alpha legion energy. You should check out their lore if you dig the hydra boyz
They have that, and also the corvidae of the thousand sons who are stated to be comparable to elder farseers in their ability to see the future. The issue is that this can only help so much with the worse strategic position the imperium is in, and so it kind of ends up a draw with cannon.
@@SapoWeonN300 having mommy or/and daddy issues basically almost guarantees you become a menace to society if you are a dude or stripper if you are a chick. Having good parents is the second biggest W you can have in life, the first is not being born with cancer
Konrad's story is actually heartwarming because he was the most beloved by the outcast primarchs. Fulgrim actually broke down (despite tortured endlessly) when he heard of his death from Sevatar and Mortarion was really feeling guilty that he left Konrad (who sacrificed himself to hold back Vulkan) so he could warn Terra. Heck only Konrad knows the existence of twin primarchs (as opposed to the usual) and they both look up to him because he kind of reprimanded them not to overkill.
It would be cool if, through some sort of science/warpfuckery, the loyalist primarchs from the Robutian Heresy met the loyalist primarchs from the Horus Heresy.
You forgot that the Legions were never broken up and that Perturabo literally built the Cavea Ferrum on Terra just to fuck with people. Truly a Heresy worth remembering
@@licensed_beheader It's basically the Labyrinth, but so complex even Primarchs can get confused trying to get through without a clearly-marked map on hand.
@@nocthemedic2951 Not really. Even they have trouble navigating, with only a primarchs brain able to understand and use the Non-Euclidian Geometry. Lorgar nearly runs across the entire Imperial Palace in like 5 minutes using The Cavea Ferrum.
I liked Perturabo's story here. He of all the sibling managed to achieve what the Emperor desires most: a utopia whete mortal men can rule themselves while the one built it lives quietly where they can pursue their scholary interests.
@@rahadityap2375 Its the engineering part. Well as of the latest chapters, Its perturabo vs Guilliman, and both of them are pulling plans after plans against each other plans.
Yeah, like, for example, what if all the chaos gods decided to work together instead of infighting? Or what if big E never created the Primarchs? Man, the possibilities are endless.
As a lover of alternate history and after how the Istvann 3 massacre ended during "Galaxy in Flames," I'd honestly love to see the four on one with Abaddon, Loken, Torgaddon and Little Horus squaring up to Sanguinius - the Mournival truly united for once.
@@bladefox-ik5iy Little Horus smashing World Breaker on top of said Daemon Primarch as well and gave it a special property of banishing daemons for a longer time. Shame that only Loken (now Cerberus) survived while the others were killed off after the heresy one by one. Still Abaddon took 3 Horus clones down with him and Torgaddon banished a major daemon with World Breaker.
The most definitive Mary Sue bullshit in this entire fanfiction. Four Astartes somehow beating the single best Primarch at fighting. And this shit is somehow considered one of the best stories the fandom ever came up with.
Horus heresy: traitor army at 99% of power - Perturabo Roboutian Heresy: loyal legions at 99% of power - Perturabo. Conclusion: Perturabo is the best primarch from the Horus gang
Maybe Tzeentch "just as planned" is the way women plan Vs the way men plan (generalisation of course, but this is the easiest way to describe it): Making a full schedule where everything and every event is filled in years in advance, but where one disruption means the whole thing is out of wack; or instead only making loose guidelines so you are never fully certain of what will happen and not as efficient, but more adaptable when something goes wrong. What if Tzeentch pretends he is the former while he is actually the latter?
Imagine a game where you play as the Emperor. A hybrid of a RTT like Total War and an Grand Strategy like Stelaris. And a throughout the Great Crusade you have to make decisions, which will influence who of the Primarchs will become a traitor.
I like the chaos salamanders scheme where their armor has cracks in it with fire seeping thru making it apparent that they are forever on fire under their armor.
I love the Idea to turn some Things in the storryline of the Horus Heresy. I would love a storry where the Big E is a good father and say Konrad, Perturabo and Angron wouldn't turn traitor (This is written before watching the Video and i don't know how this Heresy is Written)
I love the Roboutian Heresy. My favorite loyalist Primarch is Angron as he makes Vulkan from the canon universe look a bit selfish by comparison (I still like loyalist Vulkan though). The traitor Primarch I feel bad for is Ferrus Manus as he has fallen to Chaos by accident and is also a good lesson to learn on making your machine body magic proof as much as it can be. Good video Majorkill.
@@thegodofspeed23 Indeed. I do like Ferrus and the Iron Hands. I know the legion went down the path that Ferrus would be horrified at, but I love the legion's dedication to technology. That's why I feel bad for them in this heresy as they are one of my favorite loyalist legions. That being said I also like Perturabo in canon to some extent. He wiped Angron out while telling him that hey remade his strength.
My favorite fact about this AU is that in this universe Ciaphas Cain is pretty much identical to his normal version, only that he dies and is subsequently resurrected as a living saint
not only that but he's implied to become the antithesis of KHORNE HIMSELF. Cain's status in RH pretty much propelled him to outright legendary status after becoming a living saint much to his chagrin.
Only issue I have is that with Magnus being a loyalist the Emperor has a decent replacement for himself to hold the webway together which would have allowed the Emperor to fight in the siege. Magnus would have been hurt by the ordeal but I think he'd it hold to together longer and without getting dusted like Malcador the Bro.
if I remember correctly in cannon that's what the emperor wanted magnus for in the (pre-heresy) future and why (after he did some wrong shit) he wanted him arrested and brought to terra to allow him the freedom to go delete Horus
The only major problem I see with that is that as Horus stays Warmaster in this timeline, I think it would be much harder for the traitors to stay undetected and organized while not having full command over the Great Crusade.
I think there is a trade of here to make thing more balanced. In canon traitors had the better headstart because of Horus being warmaster. But in roboutian heresy, it begun with less of a momentum but you know they had guilliman
@@bugrasarsozen6288 yep. The imperium isn’t as torn by the Warmaster staying loyal, but the traitors are also buffed because the 500 worlds of ultramar is basically Eye of Terror II: Electric Boogaloo. In RH both the imperials and the traitors are much more powerful, to the detriment of the Xenos factions
So no heresy, the webway project is finished and Chaos is ultimately screwed, or would just half the Mechanicus and Imperial Guard fall, leading the Astartes to absolutely destroy them
@@ixaldok8379 Or maybe in some last ditch effort the Chaos Gods unite and unleash there full might on the imperium trying to destroy there only real opposition at the time. Perhaps 18 greater Daemons would be given extra power to fill the role of the 18 primarchs. This could be an apocalyptic war that would require every faction to work together in some last ditch effort to save the Galaxy.
4:50 Roboutian Heresy Mortarion was able to succeed in slaying his adoptive evil xenos sorcerer dad and liberated Barbarus from other evil xenos sorcerers before Big E arrived.
Actaually Things in RH 40k were slightlly better for the imperium: Zahariel has stated that this universe is a bit better off than the canon one because he cannot match that level of Grimdark. To elaborate, the Imperium as a whole is much more unified than in the HH timeline, especially since the Loyalist legions have not been divided by the Codex Astartes. The average citizen is intelligent enough to recognize and report corruption by Xenos or Chaos (as opposed to being utterly ignorant), and the Inquisition, while still as ruthless as ever, is more reasonable or at the very least more pragmatic than in the HH timeline. The Emperor and the Loyalist Primarchs are much more firmly heroic and sympathetic (with the Traitor Primarchs being more firmly evil as a result), and Guilliman's strategy of Istvaan III was not as effective as Horus's since the Night Lords and the Alpha Legion sensed a trap was coming. Finally, the Traitor Legions after the Heresy are overall much more divided and arguably less effective than in canon. They are more securely trapped in their respective Warp Storms thanks to the Iron Cages and also thoroughly hate each other (especially between the Ultramarines and the rest of the traitors) to the point that have even given up opportunities to attack a weakened Imperium to wage war with each other instead (such as the Unborn Crusade).
What I really liked about the RH was that unlike GW, they are not limited due to a status quo, so they actually went into *their* version of the End Times. And it is _glorious._ 😎
Majorkill: What if Guilliman fell to Chaos? Some higher up GW Exec: What if Guilliman replaces Abaddon and all the Ultramarines have no choice but to take a Death Oath by hunting their corrupted Primarch in the Warp with the Space Wolves on our future next edition plans? And no we didin't took that idea from some f*ckhead warhammer youtube channel. *Matt Ward nervously sweating*
Well, in that case his Hard Counter Lion would awake, take his head and replace him as Imperial Regent. Of course having an Imperial Regent as uncompromising as the Lion would also screw mankind but seeing the Lion back in action might be worth it.
it feels so good to see a project i've helped create be spoken on a video of Majorkill.... this is amazing to finally witness, and I can already imagine the massive, MASSIVE surge in popularity this will have on the verse
Favorite thing to work on? Honestly it was figuring out the ways the primarchs would be different Least favorite, would definitely have to be compiling notes for making sure the canon stays stuck.
Everyone talking about how cool the sides being flipped are while I’m bawling over the fact that sanguinius was so depressed that he cloned Horus so they could be friends again
I love how in these reverse heresy situations the Night Lords always end up being my favorite. Just the idea of Conrad for seeing his death and the heresy but instead of falling into madness, embracing both hope to change the future for the better and embracing that his death is inevitable, both a rejection and acceptance of Tzeentch and Nurgle which would drive them mad and would show the loyalist the true way to defeat the chaos gods.
I would have liked him to survive tho... a sort of become the guiding principal for Imperial Law and Justice. Maybe even have him permanently blinded and thusly you have an icon for 'impartial and blind justice - punishing not by who you are or look like, but by what was done and what punishment befits the crime'.
Salamanders: We will burn this rebel world to the ground! Night Lords: Alright everyone get on the sneaky boat before your gates get cracked. Hurry up now, we don’t have all day.
While reading the Roboutian heresy, I just realized that the traitor legions in that lore were much stronger compared to the traitor legions on canon lore. For example, imagine a Death Guard but with cybernetic enhancements. Obviously such will be much stronger and tougher. That is an Iron Hand inflicted by Nurgle on Roboutian heresy canon. Or imagine a vampiric Emperor's Children, or a World Eater but disciplined and not a mindless berserker. That is the Blood Angels and Imperial Fists corrupted by Slaanesh and Khorne respectively on the Roboutian heresy lore.
i've got an idea for an alternate heresy; loyalists: Horus, Vulkan, Lion, Khan, Dorn, Curze, Perturabo, Leman, Fulgrim Traitors: Guilliman, Ferrus manus, Lorgar, Mortarion, Corax, Magnus, Angron, and the Arch-traitor Sanguinius α/Ω: Alpha legion is still the fricking alpha legion
@@captainvalourous6668 theoreticus heresy😂 that name tho hahahah imo tho horus wouldnt write Codex astartes or itd be very very much different/ Legion’s wouldnt be split
The problem is that Horus living basically short circuits future conflict, because he's one of the very few people who could plausibly pull off fixing the imperium after the heresy.
Honestly, Jagatai’s fall seems the only one phoned in. They could have played with the idea he resents the Emperor for being a warmonger and warlord, and so vowed to stop him. Maybe not a fall to chaos but more like the Night Lords, disenfranchised and opposing
My main and only real issue with the Roboutian heresy is the fact that Curze already had a built in redemption arc in his backstory that is passed up. When Curze is hunting two attempted rapists after killing one he gets a vision of two possible futures if he spares the boy. In one the boy makes Curze a better man and together they make Nostromo a better place to live in. In the other the boy goes for his knife, stabbing Curze and escaping his story going on to weaken Curze's influence significantly. In the cannon rather than risk it he breaks the boys neck but its shown that the boy didn't go for the knife making for a much more cannon adhering redemption if he simply made a different choice
I like the Night Lord, Iron Warriors and Word Bearers in Roboutian Heresy. Also Magnus got the love and if I remember despite Pospero was burned the system become like OG Ultramar in this AU and Magnus was being in Gulliman original role.
I wonder if anyone has done a heresy that doesn't involve chaos. It would be hard to write a believable version where two sides closely matched would go to war without someone being corrupted.
Maybe have the Eldar, Necron and other xenos races races end up getting some of the Parimarch, Konrad Curze being raised by Eldrad, Vulkan end up in Commorragh and Lorgar become the a follower of Cegorach. Have Perturabo landing on a Necron tomb world and end up using their technology to shut down the eye of Terror and Regal Dorn end up with Trazyn, The Laer with Fulgrim and Leman Russ on an Ork world.
In the Dornian heresy Guilliman doesn't really fall to chaos. He just joins the traitors for the Itsvan masacre under the condition that they leave him alone to manage his own empire.
It’d have to deal with the death or loss of the Emperor, him not being there is what makes them fall apart. It likely deal with Horus, Guilliman and the Lion while those three argue most would leave and do something else and or maybe something to do with Sanginius, he’d be the closest thing to holding everyone together. Like Guillimans empire grows vast along with a imperium led by Sanginius but they both over time don’t see eye to eye and overtime lose faith and respect with each other, this would have to happen early maybe the order was different in which they where found, the Emperor disappeared or dies some how and the first two sons try and find their brothers creating separate armies and truths along the way.
I agree, here’s how I think the traitors would fall, and why Blood Angels: Khorne (bloodlust) White Scars: Slaanesh (Emphasis on the arts and culture) Space Wolves: Undivided (anti(ish) chaos) Salamanders: Nurgle (?) (vulkan being a perpetual, wanting the same for his sons) Ultramarines: Tzeentch (micromanage everything) Iron Hands: Undivided (better as an all-around chaos group instead of serving 1) Imperial Fists: Undivided (anti(ish) chaos, rogal suppressed the warp around him)
I don’t think it would make much sense since while their flaw caused them to become berserkers, it wasn’t their goal to be berserkers. They decidedly didn’t want to be mindless warriors. I would say it’s not impossible, but I do think that Slaneesh or Tzeencht would be better choices for them.
Ah yes, my favourite alternate timeline for 40k and, with the exception of a few instances here and there, the most well-thought out too, imo. Perhaps my favourite part in the entire thing is where Konrad's adoptive momma throws herself in front of an Eldar Phoenix Lord's blade to save her boy. -"You are not a monster."- ;_;
I like how if you switch the sides around sigismund and kharn pretty much just switch places with barely any change, truly one of the best bromances in all of 40k. Also the idea of chaos-y sigismund is both appealing and repulsive at once which is pretty impressive.
An alternate heresey where both or 1 of the lost primarchs survived would be cool and interesting. Having that extra player on one of the sides would definitely cause some alternate outcomes.
Two small problems persist like with most alternates. With Magnus as a battery around, there is no reason for the emperor to ascend to the golden throne and this version also doesn't seem to account for Malcador sacrificing himself to buy the Emperor a few precious moments away from the throne. This means that both are free to act such as the Emperor resolving the Webway issue far faster and freeing up his Custodes/Sisters or directly joining the front line and link up with his sons. Similarly, with Perturabos traps working to separate the traitors, the loyalists would have a prime opportunity to pick them off one by one by mobbing them while the other traitors are still wandering the palace. The other one could be hand-waived with demonic shit but even though he is a perpetual, Vulcan wouldn't immediately resurrect after being cut down. It takes time to reassemble himself since he's essentially just a demon possessing the body of a mortal form and when a demon is banished they can't immediately come back. Still, it seems well written.
Regarding Magnus and Golden Throne; It seems Emperor had second thoughts about making Magnus into battery, especially after Magnus propose the God-Calling plan. Regarding Perturabo's traps, the problem is not that the traps not working, it was Loyalist Legion unwilling to let collateral damage to be monstrous, spreading their forces relatively thin. Not helped that at least 3 Loyalist legion cannot arrived to Terra on time, limiting their option. Vulkan's immortality: He's injured by single spear, not being grinded or atomized. Aside from cursed wounds, he can heal himself quickly just fine.
@@rusdanibudiwicaksono1879 malcador still dies trying to buy the emperor a few precious moments away from the throne, it's just that the situation that required his sacrifice is a big enough deal that it also requires Magnus and the emperor to be working together.
The emperor in this case needed to be on the golden throne to keep him alive rather than strictly to power the golden throne, because drachnyen somehow managed to inflict a wound he wouldn't be able to revive from.
Notably The chaos forces in the palace were picked off one by one, It was only the ultramarine contingent that was able to fight their way to the emperor. Dorn was forced to retreat by Perturabo and Magnus personally banished the Lion who had already ascended to daemonhood.
@@sampagano205 yeah but that was only after the emperor had encountered Guilliman, right? That's the explanation for why he is still a corpse in the end. Though without Lorgars religious preaching I'd say the Empire would have still turned out better than the 40k one. What I meant by picked off one by one was to simply throw all primarchs at them at the same time so they don't even have a chance to fight back. Should be quicker and safer than duelling. Still not sure what happened to Malcador. He was supposed to be a powerful enough Psyker that he could essentially force choke (non-demon) Horus to the brink of death and as a perpetual, he should still be around if he didn't burn his soul out on the Golden Throne to lead the Empire.
I actually planned to do that for my collection turning most loyalist into traitors and vice versa and I'm currently working on CSM Ultramarines, it is pretty fun tho.
dude, alpharius is basically the whole mi6 fbi cia and kgb in this imperium, at the very least half of the imperium's offensive actions in this heresy happens thanks to alpha legion intel
Fulgrim and the Emperor's Children are pretty great in this one. The Bleeding War is an interesting bit of Lore for them, and it's neat seeing Lucius become some kinda Mythical Folkhero slaughtering champions + saving loyalists. Zahariel does a pretty good job writing this, I'd really suggest y'all check it out.
my personal favorite bit is actually that Lucius still has his perpetuality, and I THINK was named Emperors Champion, but I am not entirely sure on that front anymore.
He was already a heretic. "History will remember the Primarch of the Ultramarines by many titles. To us of the Blood he will have only one - Guilliman the butcher. With law and edict, Guilliman ripped the heart from the Legions. Even his own sons were not spared his treachery. Where Horus had sought to use a hammer blow, Guilliman used a duellist's blade. In the end, the result was the same. Brother became cousin. Cousin became exile. Guilliman's new chapter, his new beginning, was a sundering to all that had come before. Stripped of honour and tithe, of history and deed, we were all of us undone. Bastards of war and victory, we were Angels no more." Cp nassir ammit the fleshtearer
Plus the whole Imperium Secundus mess and the Bobby G’e hypocrisy of ‘no one man should have so much power’ yet his boys in blue are in charge of 500+ planets and he has enough successor chapters to form a full legion or so
In one of these I'd like to see a loyal Angron that actually had the Butchers nails. Overcoming obstacles is more interesting then just not getting them.
That would be kinda problematic considering 90% of why he become a berserker was because the butcher nails fucked up his brain Canon!Angron never had a chance
@@user-unos111 Yeah, I know he fell because someone else pushed him. Frankly, I don't find someone pushed into the mud only to roll around with the pigs to be all that interesting. Other people have gone through worse and come out better. Come to think of it, that might as well be the tagline for The Lamenters.
I think someone in the last alternate heresy video said it but if Magnus never turned wouldn't that mean that he could sit on the Golden Throne until the Big E could regenerate?
Yeah, but instead of sitting on Golden Throne he goes off to hunt his traitor brothers. Then Sarthorael got him on Photep, he fall into coma, the rest is history.
Ferrus’ hands becoming a reminder of what he once was really touches my heart for some reason. He used to resent them in some small way, knowing they aren’t his hands. Not really at least. Now? Now they’re the farthest thing from *his* hands
Hey Majorkill you should do a review of the new lore and point out the changes made, especially since new novels like the Horus heresy novels are coming out it can be difficult to figure out what's still cannon or not.
Loyalist Word Bearers and Lorgar is the highlight for me in the Alternate Heresy. A Primarch and a Astartes Legion that still adheres to the principles of the Great Crusade despite it causing them to be estranged from the wider Imperium and be seen as heretics by some of the Imperial factions is a great idea. Also Alt Lorgar being one of the beacons of hope for the alt 40k universe is fantastic idea and a tragedy. Loyalist Lorgar is really similar to his Father other than Alt Lorgar hasn't given up his humanity unlike his father in canon even before the enthronement. A tragedy cause he is nice for a primarch and his fall to Chaos in canon was a really sad
Loyalist Emperor's Children sounds cool as fuck, as do the others. But I've always figured that Emperor's Children would fill in the angelic theme that the blood angels left behind since they became traitors Awesome video, thanks Major.
the mesopotamian timeline, when people praised names like sargon, marduk and nebacanazer.... To be honest i used to feel alot of "hero" names in LOTR sounded rather sinister when i first heard/read them. Gimli sounded like the name of a villains henchman... as if he was a deformed "igor" type character, and Aragorn sounded like an arogant cuthroat... of course, gilmi is short but thats about it. i can see names like Abbadon being that of a great scholar or king if it were an ancient figure.
Really fun ideas, it makes me think: what if Guilliman's fall to chaos actually happened after the Horus Heresy? Hear me out: say that, after the original Heresy's end, Guilliman realizes that his legion is the biggest one left by a big margin, and seeing that everyone's else is just freaking broken, he realizes that he can just start calling the shots in the whole imperium, so instead of making the reforms he did in the original timeline, he kinda gets this Imperium Secundus plan in full motion, first because he actually thinks this is the best idea, but after a while he kinda falls in a story similar to Hurons Blackheart's. So yeah, from this point on things just go crazy, maybe Guilliman accepts some of the traitor and loyalist Primarchs at his side (dunno, maybe a non chaos Perturabo and the Lion), while some would definitely stick to chaos or the imperium, like Lorgar and Down.
What if this was the most likely future the emperor saw and that’s why he doted over the canon loyalists so much while leaving the others to their own devices
Ah yes; my favorite loyalist Marines: The Iron Warriors. Though I'm curious what'd happened to whom would become notable Chaos leaders like Typhus, Ahriman and Lucius.
Typhus. Dies smashing the terminus est into the traitor fleets at istvaan. Ahriman. Helps save horus Does the rubric still be feels real bad about it. Goes off into exile. Lucius. Not entirely sure. But Goes full doom slayer through the heresy. Saving key loyalists at the draw of something he can't understand

“My lord…Rogal has returned”
Perturabo sighs, wiping the sweat from his brow with one massive hand.
It was... It was simply a life I no longer wanted to lead, and which I still wish to deny, but can no longer. if what you say is true, and my brother has returned from the Warp, then it seems as though I have no choice but to act”
Perturabo then rises from his oversized armchair and swings his scythe in a swift glittering arc, the blade smashing through the protective armor-glass enshrining his ancient battle plate as though it were the shell of an egg.
It is time; the Lord of Iron has returned, and he speaks to the Ether in a voice like cold thunder.

reading about Angron staying loyal, and *without* the Butchers Nails in his head, is pretty cool.

You, my friend, are a genius.
Hmmm you my friend are up to something
Damn it now you gotta write hundreds of pages of lore on this subject to satisfy us nerds haha
Please write this book right the fuck now
I think that a 100% loyalist Alpha Legion, doing everything to keep chaos from entering the universe/threaten the imperium, would be basically the most OP thing the Imperium could have. Like destroying any and all threats with trillions of (Sleeper)Agents and having Eyes any and everywhere would be a rock hard defense
that's more or less what happened here
Legend of the five rings has a faction called the scorpion clan, and they have powerful alpha legion energy. You should check out their lore if you dig the hydra boyz
"Rock hard" 😏
They have that, and also the corvidae of the thousand sons who are stated to be comparable to elder farseers in their ability to see the future. The issue is that this can only help so much with the worse strategic position the imperium is in, and so it kind of ends up a draw with cannon.
Unfortunately most of the Ultima segmentum getting turned into a second eye of terror is a hard loss to make up for.

Love how he was also not a bitch to kor and fought him more then once.

Actaually Things in RH 40k were slightlly better for the imperium:
Zahariel has stated that this universe is a bit better off than the canon one because he cannot match that level of Grimdark.

You're literally watching a basic overview of course it's much more complex than that, I recommend you read it
My main and only real issue with the Roboutian heresy is the fact that Curze already had a built in redemption arc in his backstory that is passed up.
*cough* Imperium Secundus *cough*
@@evernight1405 So Leman Russ becomes A DIGGAHNOB!
I was looking for this on yt the other day, you'd really think that the blood Angel's would fall to khorne in an alternate story
I agree, here’s how I think the traitors would fall, and why
Blood Angels: Khorne (bloodlust)
White Scars: Slaanesh (Emphasis on the arts and culture)
Space Wolves: Undivided (anti(ish) chaos)
Salamanders: Nurgle (?) (vulkan being a perpetual, wanting the same for his sons)
Ultramarines: Tzeentch (micromanage everything)
Iron Hands: Undivided (better as an all-around chaos group instead of serving 1)
Imperial Fists: Undivided (anti(ish) chaos, rogal suppressed the warp around him)
ikr? thats what I taught would happen
@@ixaldok8379 so what about the Raven Guard and Dark Angels?
@@ShadowGhost0117 they’d probably be undivided, maybe raven guard being tzeentch because of confusion, but most likely undivided
I don’t think it would make much sense since while their flaw caused them to become berserkers, it wasn’t their goal to be berserkers. They decidedly didn’t want to be mindless warriors. I would say it’s not impossible, but I do think that Slaneesh or Tzeencht would be better choices for them.
Ah yes, my favourite alternate timeline for 40k and, with the exception of a few instances here and there, the most well-thought out too, imo.
Perhaps my favourite part in the entire thing is where Konrad's adoptive momma throws herself in front of an Eldar Phoenix Lord's blade to save her boy.
-"You are not a monster."- ;_;
Konrad going from Owlman to Batman in this timeline is a good flip.
8:50 Man-Emperor of Mankind and Horus were in the middle of a walk.
A very enthusiastic walk.
I’ve been waiting for this. Very nice.
Same here
Two small problems persist like with most alternates.
I find it rly funny how Konrad and Magnus are basically single-handedly holding their team together in this version. Psykers for the win baby!
Lorgar also steps up hardcore post heresy as one of the loyalists holding the team together, so even more valuable psykers.
dude, alpharius is basically the whole mi6 fbi cia and kgb in this imperium, at the very least half of the imperium's offensive actions in this heresy happens thanks to alpha legion intel
@LukePaganoRotaryWall42087 iirc he was named a Saint, Lucius the Reborn.
Majorkill: "I am the Watcher and I have seen many alternate Heresies throughout the Warhammer 40k Multiverse."
"I must not interfere"
You forgot to mention that Vulcan was raised by a salamander instead of a loving father
And got killed by it; that's why he got obsessed with power at any cost.
He was already a heretic.
"History will remember the Primarch of the Ultramarines by many titles. To us of the Blood he
will have only one - Guilliman the butcher.
With law and edict, Guilliman ripped the heart from the Legions. Even his own sons were not
spared his treachery. Where Horus had sought to use a hammer blow, Guilliman used a
duellist's blade. In the end, the result was the same.
Brother became cousin. Cousin became exile.
Guilliman's new chapter, his new beginning, was a sundering to all that
had come before.
Stripped of honour and tithe, of history and deed, we were all of us undone.
Bastards of war and victory, we were Angels no more."
Cp nassir ammit the fleshtearer
Coming from a heretic makes sense why he views it that way
@@primary2630 I thought Flesh Tearers are loyalist? Did something happen?
Plus the whole Imperium Secundus mess and the Bobby G’e hypocrisy of ‘no one man should have so much power’ yet his boys in blue are in charge of 500+ planets and he has enough successor chapters to form a full legion or so
I just love how Russ took Angron’s place.
In one of these I'd like to see a loyal Angron that actually had the Butchers nails. Overcoming obstacles is more interesting then just not getting them.
That would be kinda problematic considering 90% of why he become a berserker was because the butcher nails fucked up his brain
Canon!Angron never had a chance
@@user-unos111 Yeah, I know he fell because someone else pushed him. Frankly, I don't find someone pushed into the mud only to roll around with the pigs to be all that interesting. Other people have gone through worse and come out better. Come to think of it, that might as well be the tagline for The Lamenters.
have him learn how to translate his wrath into something more constructive
I always love the content that you provide in your manscaped segments 😂
the disrespect towards Tarik Torgaddon at 14:12 is unacceptable
“So, what do we do with the Khan?
“No idea…
“Warp anomaly?”
“Sounds good. Moving on.”
This is an interesting alternative storyline. Much more tidy and clear cut.
How cool would it be for games workshop to release a sort of “what if” books series of an alternate Horus heresy.
Thousand times YES!
wish he would cover the lionel heresy
it’s absolutely one of the peak what if 40k fan stories
5:05 Not only that, Roboutian Heresy Lorgar also grew his hair into like that of His father's fabulous one.
Ferrus’ hands becoming a reminder of what he once was really touches my heart for some reason. He used to resent them in some small way, knowing they aren’t his hands. Not really at least. Now? Now they’re the farthest thing from *his* hands
Hey Majorkill you should do a review of the new lore and point out the changes made, especially since new novels like the Horus heresy novels are coming out it can be difficult to figure out what's still cannon or not.
don't know what I think about the mournival banishing Sanguinius, I will have to have a read
A tragedy cause he is nice for a primarch and his fall to Chaos in canon was a really sad
honestly that's the best manscaped promotion I've seen nicely done
Some links to the artwork of the Roboutian Heresy would be appreciated, some of these designs look pretty awesome.
The artwork used for this video was SICK!
Loyalist Emperor's Children sounds cool as fuck, as do the others. But I've always figured that Emperor's Children would fill in the angelic theme that the blood angels left behind since they became traitors
Awesome video, thanks Major.
I would like to see this as an official what if novel series. Good stuff!
Damn Roboute Guilliman aka the Lich King of Warhammer 40K would be Awesome
When Majorkill starts talking about the fight between dorn and perterabo I just see them just punching each other
I really like the idea of characters named like Abbadon and Angron to be on the side of good.
the mesopotamian timeline, when people praised names like sargon, marduk and nebacanazer....
Fantastic concept! Such cool possibilities are opened in this timeline! Loyalist Sevatar would be an awesome novel!
time for the lionel heresy after this
Perty as the Praetorian of Terra would be/is SO dope. All the art of Peter Turbo & ganggang kicks ass, great selection!
The saddest part about all the alternative Heresies is always seeing our glorious Hawkboy fall ...
I like the thought that Luther will be still send to caliban but staying loyal and building his own legion
Finally talking about warcraft. The tag is precise
Tzeentch a Champion is probably Azrael, Khorne’s is Sigismund, Slannesh has the Sanguinor, and Nurgle has… I don’t know. It’s confusing.
@@kinzli298 maybe a corrupted Legion of the Damned?
@@SamueL-td7fb The Legion of the Damned is mentioned in the Rob Heresy, and they are definitely pro emperor.
The Problem with Mortal Champions is that their are so many of them. Tzeentch could have Azrael, but he could also have Belial, Asmodi, or others. I really don’t think they have one serous mortal champion, instead relying on their Deamon Primarchs.
@@Jstck1 Zehariel said that Lucius could be a Perpetual because of his canon version dying a lot
Yeah Loyal Horus and all 4 of the Mournival still together as Brothers
