They need to make an 18-20 episode series where every episode goes over how the emperor met all of his sons, and each episode is dedicated to a primarch's backstory and lore
The Emperor really needed to have a sincere heart to heart with each of his sons. YES, he still should have told them about Choas. Although he could have done that in pieces and not allow Choas be all "Stranger Danger". But mainly he needed to let his sons understand what they were, were meant for in his Great Crusade, and what he meant for them in the days after, so they might understand how to be themselves. And maybe slowed down the Great Crusade by a few centuries at least, just so that there would be time for the Emperor to at least steer his sons in the direction he would have meant to raise them. I can see the Emperor ever so slightly steering himself to better steer some of his sons. Like catching on to Horus before he slips into corruption. Rein in Magnus' ego and desire for knowledge with actual goals and positive reinforcement. Getting Kruze his own Batcave. Letting Pertti Robbo and Dorn hold regular building contests even open schools for the arts of engineering and architecture (this was before AD Mechs took over such endeavors). Let Angron save his friends and their world HIMSELF... and either remove or deaden the Butchers nails. The list goes on... If The Emperor had not rushed things too fast, he might have had time to catch and fix problem before they were a problem. The Emperor might have benefited from being a parent a few times, before making his own sons. Observing how successful parents raise their kids. Of course, this assumes he had was planning on doing a good job raising them.

A lot of people talk about the emperor’s decision regarding Angron, I think the Emperor realized that most of the other primarchs recruited from their homeworld, and their was a good chance that had those gladiators survived they might have ended up in the legion with space marine augmentations. I think The Emperor wanted to cut angron and his legion off from Nuceria and the butchers nails. However that would backfire horribly
I like to thin alpharius is a full extremeist turning to chaos to purely stunt their efforts, and when he fought against rogal dorn, he ordered the continuation but to up their efforts and become even more ruthless, leaving omegon in charge of this, while fighting dorn to keep the image up
Using the World Eaters to save Angron's warriors would have been a genius move that would have fixed most of the problems between them before they even started. The Butcher's Nails would still have been a problem but still
I'm guessing the relationship was similar but I would have liked a little section for Omegon since he never betrayed the Emperor, just kinda got delta a bad hand amd decided to go all in. Unlike Apharious which saw his good hand flipped the table and grabbed the worst cards possible

Angron is mostly super mad because Emps denied him the right to die with them as he promised, and batshit insane too because of the Nails. Would the Emperor be able to remove nails without killing him and restore his sanity, Angron would have probably remained loyal since he is an empath and maybe even be able to help Horus with his daddy issues. And about the difference of treatment between Corax and Angron/Mortarion is the fact that Corax already won his rebellion and conquered several moons before being found, while Angron hard failed and was on the brink of death when found and Morty when given a chance to prove himself would have ended killed if Emps didn't saved his ass. One was competent and could be trusted, the 2 others not so much (particulary Angron).

People who complain about the idea of a holy emperor who viewed his "sons" as tools underestimate the self-righteous attitudes of humans who believe themselves to be cognitively and physically superior.
This immediately reminded me of Warhammer High. Best way to describe it - heresy never happens, primarchs get wives and children (focus is on daughters, tho sons are involved too), Big E teams up with Eldar to beat Slaanesh, hilarity ensues. ''Meet the primarchs'' story is my favorite, where prospective boyfriends meet dad primarchs to ask permission to take their daughters on a date (angron, russ and alpharius/omegon bits are the funniest). Pedorabo is such a mook, though I do feel bad for the guy for always seeing the Eye of Terror. Angron's little rebellion was already over when he was found by imperial fleet and his fellow rebels were already dead or dying. Angron is mostly super mad because Emps denied him the right to die with them as he promised, and batshit insane too because of the Nails. Would the Emperor be able to remove nails without killing him and restore his sanity, Angron would have probably remained loyal since he is an empath and maybe even be able to help Horus with his daddy issues.
And about the difference of treatment between Corax and Angron/Mortarion is the fact that Corax already won his rebellion and conquered several moons before being found, while Angron hard failed and was on the brink of death when found and Morty when given a chance to prove himself would have ended killed if Emps didn't saved his ass. One was competent and could be trusted, the 2 others not so much (particulary Angron).

dude at least once a month, for the entirety of the great crusade the big E would have to deal with his general's randomly getting massive mood swings and downing entire gallon's of haagan daaz and claiming they are independant and don't need no emperor...then crawling back after a few days asking daddy for money so they go shopping for bolters...it'd be chaotic taint everywhere!
