No One is to Blame!!!!
Yes!!! It’s so good!
Yesssss the best.
Absolutely
Except you. Lol
Beautiful song with production by Phil Collins
"What Is Love" is a real vibe.
Forever HJ favorite.
@@RockChick63174agreed, but this and many other greats
my second favourite hojo song 😊 you MUST hear my most favourite, "no one is to blame". lyrically and melodically makes me cry EVERY TIME. fantastic song ❤
It makes me cry just thinking about it. It was one of the last pop songs that I really remember hearing my mother humming along with.
I miss you, mom and dad.
FUN FACT: Phil Collins sings the background vocals and added the drums to No One is to Blame…it’s fire!!!
No One Is To Blame ❤
New Song 🤩
"What is love" by Howard Jones is my fav song by him.. I believe What is love was his first major hit on the charts..
Yes what is love was his biggest hit in the uk reaching no2 but criminal that it didnt hit no1 that it massively deserved
@@nickhaswell6011 Yes, I agree. I saw Howard Jones in concert in San Francisco in the mid 80''s. There was a drummer, but Howard did everything else with the key board deal he played. The whole audience were standing on their chairs rocking out through the whole concert!! There was such positive energy and so much fun, Howard did it all!!
@@Rhiannon011 yeah completely agreed howard jones is phenomenal pretty much one man band just added extras when he wanted to do something different change it up
"Like To Get To Know You Well" is an under-appreciated single.
Oh man bro, you HAVE TO react to Howard Jones "No One Is To Blame"!!!!✌
Howard Jones is criminally underrated, and often forgotten by 80's reactors. This song, No One Is To Blame, What Is Love, New Song, Everlasting Love and Lift Me Up are some of the best pop songs created during that era!
“No one is to Blame” is a definite must!” 👍🙂
'What Is Love' is my fave HJ song. If you want more 80's from around the same time as Howard Jones , check out Nik Kershaw - The Riddle and Thompson Twins - Hold Me Now. Both brilliant songs.
Culture Club
My favorite song is 'No One Is To Blame'. He really does have a great voice.
Love this song today as much as I did in 1985!! Thanks Salvo!
Before I even watch, I predict that you will love this song.
No One is to Blame is INCREDIBLE!!! Hope to see you react to it soon ❤
I know he can tear up. That song will do it. Lol
Howard Jones was one of three acts to have coveted space on my bedroom walls. Him, Nik Kershaw, and Duran Duran. All Brits. LOL
No One is to Blame is my favorite but I love all his work.
Every dance floor was packed when the DJ spun this.
No one is to blame is great, too🎉🎉🎉
Everlasting Love!
80's is the best. nothing like it now a days
Agreeed
If you want to lift up your mood, an 80s song will usually do the trick. Even the songs with dark and depressing lyrics were danceable. 😊
A lot of fun music in the 80's and Howard Jones is up there!
So glad you discovered Howard - he’s a musical genius‼️ ALL his songs are brilliant ❤️🔥
He’s my favorite “one man act”. Seeing him live was AMAZING‼️
Saw him a few years back for the second time. Great show. He had an ex member of the 80’s band Kajagoogoo in his band so they also played Too Shy.
This song was also in a mall scene in season three of Stranger Things and he’s a big fan of the show Howard has been a Buddhist for many years. Very positive and happy man.
Love Howard. Saw him live back in the late 80's
Soooo good right?! I think he’s still performing!! So talented. So fun!
The mid 80s were the best! This totally could’ve been a #1 song but there was sooo much competition and greatness.👌🏼👌🏼
I remember that Howard Jones had great success in Italy and throughout Europe.....his songs were played a lot on radio and TV, I was a child and I remember Howard Jones very well
Almost every song he has written is the epitome of the 80s. My favs are "Life in One Day", "Everlasting Love", and "Pearl in The Shell".
Buckle up for Howard! It's a vibe!!😊
Hide and Seek-beautiful song. Also brilliantly done live at Live Aid. That’s my fave HoJo song. Met him in 1986-lovely man.
Every time I hear this song I'm compelled to dance!💃
Love, love, love Howard Jones!!! Thanks for doing this Sal!
Check out the studio recordings to Howard Jones's hits "Everlasting Love," "Life in One Day," "Like to Get to Know You Well," "New Song" and "No One Is to Blame." Have seen HoJo three times in concert. One of my all-time fave artists!!!
I grew up in the late 70s , 80s and 90s love Howard Jones. The music is awesome
He was great in concert! 1985!🎉
I love that this guy feels the passion of Synth Pop just like me.
My first concert, I was 9 & met Jed, Howard Jones’ dancer!
He has a session with Daryl Hall. Still iconic.
I’m a big Howard Jones fan. Hard to pick just one song out of his catalogue for you to listen to next. So here is a few. Pearl in the Shell, New Song, Like to Get to Know You Well and Hide and Seek (this one is 100% moody atmospheric synth goodness). Top reaction and from the heart as always !
He had some of the BEST songs
All these 80's song are hitting a nostalgic spot in my soul. Another great 80's classic. He performed at the Hollywood Bowl in an 80's night this past year with Boy George headlining. Missed that show.
You'll love "No One is to Blame"!!! ❤
Just saw Howard Jones last summer and he was still awesome!
Thanks for the reaction to one of my favorite songs It is played on the overhead at work all the time and I never get tired of hearing it. I love the musical interlude near the end.
I love Howie! I was a sophomore in high school when this came out, he was one of my favorites. It was awesome growing up in the 80’s!!
New Song and No one is to blame next ........ Great reaction .
You will love all his stuff plether of amazing hits and very versatile
Howard Jones actually was the 1st performer at the 1st Live Aid at Wembley Stadium. Howard only played Hide And Seek using Freddie Mercury's Yamaha CP-70 electric grand piano. Howard still records albums and goes on tour. Howard has been a member of Ringo Stars All Star Band. Howard's song No One Is To Blame has two versions. One is the original the other has Phil Collins playing drums and singing background vocals.
Everlasting Love
"No one is to blame", "what is love" ans "new song" are 3 more amazing 80s synth-pop bangers of howard jones.
This takes me back to high school!! Love it!! Proud Gen Xer here!!
Yepper! Same here ;)
OMG, it was so fun watching you bop to this awesome artist. Wo, wo, wo-oo, ...wo, wo, wo, wo, wo!
Funky synth was everywhere in the 80's! 'm telling you, there were so many great bands in the 80's. I listed some in the When In Rome video, others bands to check out: Level 42, ABC (Tears Are Not Enough, When Smokey Sings, Poison Arrow), Thomas Dolby (One of Our Submarines, I Love You Goodbye), Talk Talk, Beck (Where It's At, Up All Night), DAF (Pure Joy, Absolute Body Control), Bowie (Let's Dance, China Girl), Front 242 (Headhunter, Welcome to Paradise), Go West (We Close Our Eyes, Don't Look Down)... again, I can go on and on. If you liked New Order and Howard Jones, you'd love any of these!
Talk Talk. He really, really needs to listen to them. RIP Mark.
@@RockChick63174 Oh yeah, definitely a great band. There was so much great music in those days, so much to discover!
He was one of my favorite singers of the 80’s when I was a teenager then. My favorite song is “No One is to Blame”. Please react to it! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
This song never gets old. Seeing as you loved this, you really need to check out Nik Kershaw - "Wouldn't it be good" and Level 42 - "Something about you"
Wow, forgot Nik. Something About You is still in rotation on my playlists.
Great reaction Salvo!! Howard Jones was an 80's staple - he's an excellent keyboardist & composer! More, more, MORE Howard is needed!!
From his first album: What Is Love?, New Song, Hide & Seek, Pearl In The Shell are all musts! From this album (Dream Into Action): No One To Blame, Life In One Day.
From Cross That Line: Everlasting Love (awesome track!), The Prisoner.
And something from the 2000's - The Human Touch (from 2013 - it's absolute FIRE!!)
Cheers!
I’m one of the 88,000 :-). One of my fave albums that summer (Songs from the Big Chair being another) and fun to dance to when out and about.
WHAT IS LOVE!
Absolutely yes
Howard has done sooo many great hits i dont know where to start
What is love
New song
Hide and seek
Like to get to know you well
Look mama
You know i love you
and many more
Howard Jones, musical pioneer and all-round nice guy. . New Song is my favourite. Saw him as a teenager at Wembley in 1985. Evening was spoiled by being robbed on the London Underground on the way home
One of my FAVORITE 80's songs. You should also do "No one is to blame". Great reaction (LIKE ALWAYS)
“WHAT IS LOVE”. There is no other choice 😁💖
Thankyou Salvo for your appreciation of the music of my early life. Love from a 80’s chick in Australia 🇦🇺 yes nobody is to blame…❤
I almost missed his appearance at my small Northern WV college (Fairmont State). Many of my friends didn't like the British synth-pop, but I did & I'm glad I went. Great energy flowing from stage to audience & back. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
HUMAN'S LIB & DREAM INTO ACTION are still two of my top 10-20 albums. The Dream Into Action Tour was the first concert I ever attended on my own at 13.
❤❤❤❤❤this song sooo much
Superb reaction and he has other superb hits what is love, like to get to know you well, look mama, new song, hide and seek and many more
Good on you for finding Ho Jo.
While it wasn’t really my genre at the time, it was radio and MTV popular and I had to buy a cheap cassette to lean into more and all the songs were good.
Ho Jo deserved more recognition.
Fun song from the 80’s!
HoJo! He's a sort of down-lo utter genius. You'd love every single song of the first three albums. Irreplaceable. Imagine this in concert with 30,000 people at Wembly chanting back every super intelligent, positive note straight back. There are too many brilliant songs to choose, but the others have done a great job at listing the most popular.
Quintessential eighties pop
❤ it just takes me right back to the 80s🎉
❤❤Salvo, this one gets stuck in your head once you hear it.
🇬🇧 "No One Is To Blame" & "Like To Get You Well" ❤🎼🎶🎙️
My favorite is New Song but this is a close second.
My favorite also!
Man, listen to that bass line! Yummy. My fave by this artist is No One To Blame. But this one is excellent too
What is Love? Is the song of when I first heard of Howard Jones? That sort of slow jam synth-pop was music to my ears. Underrated 80’s artist.
Salvog wish we could throw you in the wayback/time machine-you would have LOVED the 80s!🧑🏻🎤
Howard Jones ❤🥰😍🥰❤ Ha fatto tantissime canzoni stupende! 😍
Oh wow, you're on a roll thru my youth lol🤍
HoJo was my mans back in the day. Super underrated. He was def no one hit wonder.
Lots more to check out by HoJo! "No One Is To Blame," "What Is Love," and "Everlasting Love" are probably my three favorites.
I think New Song was the reason I bought the Human's Lib album. Glad you reacted to HoJo!
This one is in my arsenal for when everything is really, really scary in life. Do you feel scared? I do. But I won't stop and falter. Damn straight.
I wore my Howard Jon3s cassette to shreds. I loved it!
Nice to see you again Salvo
There are a ton of 80's songs that don't get enough love these days but living through it all I can say this song typifies the era. You should get some prime Thompson Twins. Talk about solid 80's music - they have it in spades!
"Look Mama" from this album is really good too. I think you'd like another synth pop group from the 80s, Thompson Twins. They've got a pretty extensive number of good songs.
❤From my highschool days ! ❤
If you like Howard Jones then like me you will probably love Nik Kershaw, especially I wont let the sun go down & Wouldnt it be good
This gentleman has so much 80s synth legends to work through, Nik is an automatic choice next to Howard Jones for sure.
80’s 🫶✌️🙌❤
Hi I love your program Diana leombruno Australia
Oh yeah, this is def my shit. 😁Thanks, Sal and Laurie! I was such a Howard fan in the 80s (still think he's a pretty great dude)! But sir! SIR. You also need to check out some The Fixx (my fav is One Thing Leads to Another) - excellent synth rock! 🤟🤟 (Don't know of throwing horns applies to synth rock . . . 😆)
Did you call it "synth pop" I have never heard that genre before but 80s being my favorite I can see it , It was so much I missed the sound of a real live drum beat ! fantastic reaction thank you
Love Howard Jones and Nik Kershaw
Like people are suggesting you should react to No One is to Blame next. Phil Collins plays drums and sings backing vocals on it.
For some reason, this song makes me think of Paul Young's "Tear Your Playhouse down" (I had a HUGE crush on him) and The Fixx "One thing leads to another". Not sure why. Maybe they were out at around the same time? Anyway, I hope you'll check those 2 songs out, along with Howard Jones' "No one is to blame"
That song is amazing , surprised no one has requested it yet (paul young’s -tear your playhouse down)
If you are wanting some more quality 80s stuff I would suggest the following groups; Duran Duran, Police, New Order, Fiction Factory, Alphaville, Talk Talk, Bronski Beat, ABC, and Flock of Seagulls
My youth!lol
Excellent choice Lori! Sal, everyone's going to suggest 80s electronica now, you're vibing so much
