hey man , i am flying to Germany Frankfurt on 10 January on a family business trip and i want to buy the dji mavic pro drone , i have contacted saturn electronics and conrad but they have not got it yet and i an worried they wont get it in time since my trip is only 10 days please any help regarding getting the drone (i want to buy it from a store since i want to get a vat free form i'm not from eu ) and we dont have it in our country please help

I think depending on when you bought your mavic there is lots of variation in the camera. My camera has always been very washed out. Today I found setting my Exposure to -1 and just bumping my Saturation to 3 helped a lot.

I would have to say I took that in but would only change some of the settings from what you have recommended, although I would fall back on yours if not successful. The major problem at the moment is getting one of these drones as I have ordered two months ago here in Australia and found I just have to wait from a delivery from The USA

This is an excellent tutorial. However there is one part that I would like to comment on. I hear numerous youtubers saying that the histogram should be like a mountain peaking in the middle as this will show a good exposure. This is actually incorrect. The histogram will depend on the particular image. A black cat on a black rug will have no information to the right but could be perfectly exposed. Likewise a polar bear in the snow will show very little if any information to the left. So the shape of the histogram will not tell us much unless we look at the image. Thank you. Should I use DJI app or should I use DJI 4 app? I keep reading people complaining about DJI 4 app crushing a lot and generally being a poor product.

BTW, the "Advise Format" message probably means you have an SD card inserted with a format it was not expecting. For example, a 64GB card formatted as FAT32. I get this on my P4P, which currently will not record the correct time for images/video on a 64GB SD card if it is formatted as exFAT, which is the default.

I want to you are a God sent, cause the info you put out is on point. But will you please tell witch icon that have to be pressed in order to get the camera settings, for example if I want to change my cam for cloudy day, filming. stayed the phone with DJI for over a hour waiting on tech support to get in line. And when I did they told me to send my data files to them. This not first drone rodeo I have a Yuneec Q500, and a Bebop2, this is my first DJI product.

I notice your first bit of footage has a bit of that processing delay glitch. It seems to step through each image with a bit of lag. Try turning off your auto-exposure and this will go away- 4K video will look crisp again.

Tom, the sound is now perfectly level (even the intro)... THANKS! What an awesome video!! Now my Home Theater setup won't give me a heart attack hahaha. BTW, it's 1080 (ten-eighty) or twenty-one sixty (2160). :)
Thanks for this. The footage from my first flight was super blurry. Hopefully this fixes it.
One question about the last point you made about the focus. When you switch on the 90% threshold, most of the red appear on edges. In my opinion, edges are high contrast area in both luminosity and color, so they should always look 'sharper' than the other area. Therefore I suspect if this method does work and tell us what are in focus. It would be very helpful if you could explain the logic behind the focus detection function.

Hello, congrats for your video, but i have a little problem with my mavic, when i m trying to make a manual orbit my mavic is loosing the distance can you give me a EXP , Sensitive, Gain settings in order to avoid glides on the air and loosing my path!

At the end of this video you talk about peak focus threshold turn on to 90%. My general settings doesn't have that on my Mavic Pro ....why is that?

How usful is the Mavic Pro as a Mountain Biker? If you are on the Bike you cant use the Remote Control. What do you think about Air Dog or similar for sport Videos?

Some new info has arisen about the sharpness with the new DJI update... some otheres are recommending NOT to decrease sharpness.. but to keep at 0. Can you confirm?
Just a heads up to people getting Stutter ! Change the NTSC to PAL if your in the UK! Solves the issue.

Tom, how do u fix the auto noise reduction on the mavic? I noticed some of my footages are very muddy under the same manual settings..
What is missing for me is DJI implement a manual setting for aperture.
Is it just me or do many of the online videos kind of stutter? I wonder if it might be possible that the used SD Card was too slow to reviece all the data and that is the reason for the stuttering video?
Hi Tom, I can't find film about this : the mavic starts on the roof , for example hoovers on 2 meters distance from roof level, then flies away but the building is 20 meters. What happens then? What shows the hight meter? Does it go down to 2 meters or stay on 22 meters? And what about RTH, where will mavic return to ?

I set my camera on manual and ISO 100, w/ shutter speed at 50 as you recommended. When a click out of settings, it shows shutter at 1000 and higher. Why is this happening?

It arrived finally 2 days ago but the camera isn't working, I just have a black screen on the app behind all the app icons etc. It's trying to focus with the square focus thing in the middle but no picture. "Peak Focus Threshold" is no longer in the new FW update. Can you confirm Tom? I cannot find it in the menu anywhere!!
it has been renamed as Focus Peaking Threshold and is located in the wheel settings, below the Anti flicker. It now only gives you the option of None,Normal,Low and High.
