This is a 28-minute fiery breath-focused practice that invites you to the table. Nurture the body, tend to your heart, balance the brain, find strength, find stillness.
    Get your fill so that when you step off your mat you have the energy you need to be present and serve.
    A strong and whole practice will assist you in taking your yoga off the mat and into the world.

    I invite you to contemplate what it feels like to be courageous this week, finding ways to carve out the time to show up for yourself and for others, as well as honoring that pause.
    A pause to sit up tall, to anchor in the breath, a pause that allows you to respond from a true place, rather than just react.
    The courage to show up. That is where it starts.
    And it starts with you.
    And me too.

      Hello Adriene. I have been searching in the playlist for a "yoga for your back" list as you have a lot of different subjects. But I could not find it. I've been practicing with your 30 days of yoga on and off for years but my main issue is with my back since I was 16 and now I'm 34 and it's only gotten worse and its completely decided my life for me.
      I really hope you can look into this or help me find the right playlist. I've already had a lot of benefits from your other videos though

    when I saw "COURAGE" as the word of this month, I thought "ok thanks". First day of june and I decided to end a long relationship. 3 days after, I lost my dad. In one week, I'll end my PhD. Like, wtf is going on in june ? And now, as I read "courage", I think about you and how you helped me five years ago. And now, you're helping me more and more, always. This week has been so hard and so strange. But you're here and in every video I do, I feel at home. Strong and vulnerable at the same time. Capable of doing a long plank pose, and crying doing this. And it's okay. So thanks a lot, Adriene.

      A lot of sadness and change to swallow! My condolences. You’re so right though. The calmness and courage yoga brings creep up gradually, don’t they? Doesn’t stop you feeling devastated, but gives you the tools to accept and process.

    2 years of yoga with Adriene during cancer recovery. During the pandemic Every day that I can. Courage comes from within and it also comes as gift from those around us.       same, that last vinyasa... a few months ago i would have skipped to downward dog. but i really believe now, I Am Strong! and my body is capable of so much.

    Hi people doing this in april 2021! Back in January I would not have been able to keep up with this practice at all. But here we are, 4 months later and for the first time I could do all the planks with my knees up. So freaking cool!!

    So very hot here. The rainy season is starting or at least an extended period of rain. I really did not want to come down to the mat on my back. I had to wipe that off first. 😛 I always like this one, and am happy I managed it well.
    Energize day 23. 627 days in a row.

    I remember when this practice came out - the whole month's theme was Courage and it was a month of one fiery practice after another. I was tired that month, but I also got stronger. I always expect this practice to be really intense. And it kind of was, but I could do it with relative ease. How far I've come :)

    When I first started yoga with Adriene I was just looking to shape my body and be more flexible. But with time, I realised that with you Adriene it's much more spiritual than that. I always hated meditation and used to skip that part of practice but in May you managed to sit me through it and I actually enjoyed it and benefited from it ! It's been 1 hell of a year and still going, but no matter the situation I can hear your voice and guidance in my head, telling me I am strong, I am in charge of my own emotions and more importantly : power of the breath. I don't usually post public comments but I owe this to you: THANK YOU Adriene for being here for millions on people around the world. I'm sure you have changed more lives than you can imagine. I send you lots of love !

    The last time this senior yogi did this practice I gave up half way through and thought this is not for me. But I felt sad and defeated. So this time I used my adjustments for my age, knee down in side plank dips, no vinyasas or chaturangas, I just enjoyed peddling it out in downward dog, perfect. This way I could have fun doing the toe taps in plank and say ‘I am strong’ and complete the rest of this sequence breathing deep and slow. This time I came off my mat feeling satisfied, a happy superhero 😃👏👏 we did it Adriene, see you tomorrow on the mat 🧘🏼‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️🙏💕

    I'm still new to yoga. I can't sync my breath with Adriene's, down dog is definitely not a resting pose for me, I can't hold many poses for long... I feel like a bit of a failure!
    I didn't have the courage to finish this whole video, but I'm going to have the courage to try again tomorrow.

      I’ve been doing yoga for a year and I still can’t sync my breath to hers don’t worry about it. Also never feel bad about pausing the video to do a quick child’s pose

      I don't always sync my breath either! Sometimes I take 2-5 breaths more - especially after very challenging poses such as the planks in this practice. I do my best to keep up with her movements but when I have my own breath with me

      Rai try the gentle yoga series of Adriene, they are slower and beginner friendly. I was in a similar position like yours until I found Adriene's Gentle Yoga vids.

    Doing this two days early for Energise, June 2022, because I will be travelling and might not fit it in. Amazed that could could do and keep up with this practice. Definitely getting stronger.

    I don't know what it was about today, but I felt a shift. The heaviness that I've been feeling these past couple of days has not been as prominent. I didn't fly, but I felt a connection to my body and myself that hasn't been there for a couple of weeks. Embody 2022!

    Yesterday, I had an important realization. It is of something that seems so very simple and obvious, and yet believing it for my own specific self, even in a moment of despair, was so powerful. I realized and reminded myself that I still have control over my own actions. I've been living in such fear of my circumstances without realizing it, as a result of such intense struggle over the pandemic and a much greater ease as soon as some of my "normals" came back. I came to believe that I will just fall apart whenever I don't have anything to go to in person or people around me to talk to. Indeed, that is a vulnerable time for me, and yes, I have continually fallen apart in such circumstances. HOWEVER! I still have power to choose what to do with myself. I don't have control over what I feel--yes, I may feel tired, sad, and like I just don't want to do something (and that's okay!!!)--but I am still able to choose not to be sucked into my addictive behaviors. I am able to choose how I react. I have power. I am not a result of my circumstances. In context of this, saying, "I am strong," in today's practice had a greater power behind it than I've ever felt before. And thank you, so very much, for praising my courage. What an empowering and wonderful practice. I AM STRONG!!!

    My transitions from cobra to plank were on POINT today! And my downward facing dogs felt great as well! I even gave it a shot at warrior three, and I am so proud of myself!

    Here on day 4. Ywa March 04/03/2022🍀🌸What an indeed👌🏾🧘🏾‍♀️courage practice done twice today, couldn't finish earlier and truly honouring that pause again after some wobbles... I absolutely did show courage and very pleased with myself and to others.

    Day 7 of Balance - So far this has been my favorite practice. I just felt a different kind of excitement today ⚡️⚡️ I went into it kind of down and with a "okay just so I can say I did it" attitude and I can confidently say : I FEEL AWESOME NOW 🤍🤍

    Embody Day 4 done. Forearm planks saved my wrists there for the toe taps, feeling much more courageous today. Fun tidbit my kitty decided to use me as a jungle gym for the floor stretches so that was fun 🤣💙 Namaste

    Courage to get back on the mat & show up! I can do hard things.
    My foot injury has left me with this mindset of fear over hurting my foot or just my foot being in pain but no more time to get back to it! I feel good these last two days thanks to this FWFG practice!

    Balance Day 6 -- this one certainly got a frustration cry out of me 😔 Not going to beat myself up over it, but it took me out of the last few moments of settling down. Probably just feeling a little embarrassed about my boyfriend clearly seeing me cry on the mat for no real reason other than a tight shaky leg. But, I finished it, so I'll pat myself on the back for a little resilience if nothing else. Everyone be well ❤️

    Jumped out of order on my June practice calendar, needed this for strength. This helped me channel all of my energy toward difficult conversations that are on my horizon. So good to know Adriene will meet me back on the mat, no matter what the outcome - Namaste!

    Embody Day 4
    Really didn't want to get on the mat today, low energy and heavy body. But of course I showed up! And really glad I did, as it was wonderful to get some energy pumping through.
    Almost had an accident with my right shoulder with the last chaturanga, but managed to save myself from injury at the last minute! Phew!

    I got really tired just before coming to the mat. I pulled up the schedule and clicked. Been to this one before, but the reminder that a fiery practice was coming did worry me. But hey, I made it through. I assume that is a testament to daily practice. So, get on the mat, and even if you entertain thoughts like I did, of just lying there in savasana, follow along with Adriene. We can do this!

    I simply love this one when it appears on the calendar. Working with left arm and left elbow soreness, and now a slight strain in my left chest. This sequence did not antagonize these areas. Actually, I am somewhat grateful for them because I can see more clearly whether I am integrating all parts of the body in the poses. I think I managed to do that really well today, and I feel great because of it.

    Turning 19 today and spending yet another birthday alone has really gotten me down. The future has been really scary and it’s been hard to enjoy the present, sometimes it feels too painful.     Today was my best yoga day since I began in January this year - I felt complete in myself and most importantly I wasn't criticising myself for my failures/inabilities - when I wobbled I laughed instead of getting annoyed - for me this is progress towards loving myself more :-) I was able to do many of the forward folds to mountain pose with my eyes closed as my own challenge for today, without losing my balance -- another sign that my daily practice is serving me well

    Day 4 Embodiment. I feel proud of myself for being able to keep up and do most of this without getting frustrated. Before the beginning of this year and before MOVE I would not have been able to. I am strong! But as well as getting stronger I am learning that breathing makes it easier and making small adjustments in line with Adriene’s instructions - which are now making sense - makes a lot of difference. Thank you.

    I love how yoga with Adriene can take me from setting my mental focus on my mantra/intention (clarity, courage, consistency), to giggling (the longer the better, HEY-O) to getting teary-eyed when bringing thumbs to third eye and appreciating the amazing way I feel as I come off the mat. Adriene, thank you, thank you, thank you, my love! You've been so key in my journey, I don't even have the words to describe what yoga - and the way you present it along with your email letters - has done for me spiritually, mentally, emotionally. Sometimes I giggle, sometimes I tear up...there's never a time I step off the mat not feeling transformed--not just on a personal level, but thinking maybe someone else on another continent just did the same practice, maybe a few second apart--like the same radio station playing in two different parts of the same house. The sense of community across the that YWA has developed over the years is magical. It gives me such hope to read so many of these comments and know that I'm not alone and that we are all in this together!

    Back here for day 7 of Balance in December 2021. Even though I found this a challenge because I'm super tired, cold and stiff tonight, the difference in strength from last time I did this in July is huge! Those planks didn't faze me at all 🥰 Day 160/365 🥰

    Yesterday I had one of my most stressful days and I manage to get through without having stressful attacks..so I fell to sleep happy with my self...but today I woke up felling dizzy for the most of the day and I believe that yesterday's stress hit me today after all ... 😑😑 so courage is exactly what I needed today ... it's like adriene makes this calendar every time adjust to my needs,it's incredible!
    It was a practice that even if it was difficult, I manage to complete it all, feeling strong 💪 thanks to all of you that we breathed together love out to all the yogis around the globe and take love in from all of you 💖

    I am immensely grateful for this relaxing courage practice for June Love Day 03:06:23✅ exactly what we all need.     Showed up on day 7 of Adriene’s calendar even though I skipped some of the previous days. It’s trying to build a good working relationship with your body after decades of neglect and even “not liking” the body. Having these feelings arise during yoga - especially during practice with Adriene - has made me realize it wasn’t meant to be like that. Befriending your body in middle age is an awkward experience, but just like electricity and technology, there’s no going back.

    Reading the news this morning created so much anxiety. The Delta variant is bad, the masks are back in play, my friends are canceling in-person hangouts, and my mind went back to the buried trauma and stress of early 2020. This practice was perfect for feeling strong in the face of things. Feeling supported. Flying. Being a lion. I will finish off with a meditation. Love everyone here. Namaste.

    Hello Adriene. I just wanted to thank you for saving my life last week, and I don't mean metaphorically. You might not have the time to read my story, but I feel the urge to tell it.
    Last week I was carrying a heavy duvet down the stairs when my foot slipped off the step. I must have subconsciously protected my tailbone (I had broken it a year before), because instead of falling on my butt, I started tumbling down. I was trying to figure out a way to stop, but the handrail was out of reach and my limbs were tangled in the duvet. Worst of all, my weight shifted and now I was tumbling heads-down. I saw the bottom of the staircase closing in on my face and I remember thinking I would break my neck, but instead I sommersaulted over my shoulder and landed softly on my buttocks, my legs crossed. I sat for a moment trying to comprehend what had happened. And then I realised. My brain couldn't find a solution, so it bowed (quite literally, because I tucked my chin to my chest) to my body intelligence and let it do the work.
    Within a year, I have come from a woman who breaks her tailbone from falling on her butt while learning to rollerblade (which was actually what got me into yoga - gentle yoga was the only exercise I could do after the accident) to one who falls down the stairs straight on her neck and ends up with just a small bruise on her upper arm. If that's not a testimony to the miraculous effects of yoga, I don't know what is! Thank you, Adriene!
