- I decided to buy the controller that the OceanGate Titan submersible used as a controller- the Logitech F710. While it was an old game controller, it actually surprised me!

This controller and the corded one (F310) are all we use around here and have for years. They are very solid controllers. They are also surprisingly supported by Geforce Go when you are gaming on Android TV.
the controller really surprised me, it genuinely feels great, I'm actually going to use it
There’s also another one that’s kinda like the f710 (f510)
This Logitech F710 controller is the best I've had and I've been using it since 2015 (I spent a few months with a Trusthmaster controller but quickly returned to the F710).
The F710 pauses after a short time and you have to press "A" to exit pause.
It would be horrible if this F710 paused on board the Titan and the pilot did not notice it and was perhaps looking for other causes of failure.
In case you didn't know: the switch on top is for alternating between xinput and direct input. The latter being used for older games.
Also, the d-pad has actual switches under it despite its appearance.
that's really interesting, thanks for letting me know!
I've had mine for years because I refused to accept how bad the reception is and never threw it away or replaced it until now and the extension cable is a HUGE red flag that Logitech knew how bad the reception was from the day of release. It's an absolutely horrible controller. I get constant drop outs and spin outs when looking around in a video game. So I can just imagine how wonderful the drop outs and spin outs are when your trying not to die in a submarine. I replaced it finally with an Xbox controller this week and it works flawlessly. Worst controller ever made hands down.
the controller coming with the batteries inside makes it pretty unsafe
Although this controller came out in late 2010! Is it still used a lot now?!
Hopefully logitech can make these modern internals to work with current generation systems. Could be a good marketing thing
Those scissors. That will be your demise.
yep ahaha
Please help - I bought one before the whole Titanic thing, and can't get it to work as intended. It should be plug and play, right? But it's super laggy, and my games are unplayable with it.
It should work fairly well, maybe it’s a defective unit?
Titanic? Or Titan.
get a different one
Is this controller really from 2011? Is it that old? I thought it was from 2017 or 2018 or something. I have one and I love it, I use with with TheC64, and for that it's almost perfect.
Yeah, this controller was in production for a while, that’s why I was still able to secure a new version relatively affordably
@@DavisFangTech I bought one from Amazon late last year. I'm very happy with mine.
bro went to Cashie's 😂
Only place I could find one ahaha
Does this controller work on Mac computers?!
Yep!
@@DavisFangTech Great because I have a MacBook Pro!
homi really sayed "i found this random sumberine game from steam" to subnotica 💀
Is the Logitech F710?! Still a good controller to buy if you wanna play pc games today?!
It still works, but there are far better options now
@@DavisFangTech I’m sure there are! Thank you!
@@DavisFangTech Would it would on pc games released this year even though there’s a lot more and better options?
@@johnfaulders9880 from my quick test, it worked with all the games that I tried it with
@@DavisFangTech Thanks for letting me know!
I want!
Dude not cool bro no hate at all I get it but way too soon people lost there life and by now we know it imploded not the controller come on the views ain’t worth this kind of slander your better than this David
Honestly…
*Thats an OceanGate Problem*
Except the 19 Year old. I feel Bad for him.
But in all seriousness The CEO of OceanGate should have Listened Better. That’s Probably why people take it as a Joke. It was just some Guy Being Ignorant and Cheap that costed 5 Peoples Lives. And even the Pilots knew it was a Bad Idea but didn’t stop until it was Too Late. And when you compare that to Other Major bad events. (i.e That one day In September of 2001) it starts to make People… insensitive. For Example If you’re used to Bad stuff happening a Ton in your Life. Your eventually going to See Little Bad Things (Not that I’m saying the Titan Implosion Was a Small Bad Thing. It was really Big) Not as… Traumatizing. And I think that’s why We make Memes out of Stuff like this, until it eventually Stops being Funny and, Well. it rests in History.
Stuff like this sometimes Explains a lot about Human Psychology.
