Do you own Logitech F710 Gamepad or any of the lower models? What are your experiences? Hope you'll find this review useful in choosing the best PC gamepad for your needs 😎
This is a good and durable gamepad. Very nice
I own the F710. The bluetooth disconnects nonstop unless I place the controller a few inches directly in front of the bluetooth. Even when swapping even the replacements do this. I think it is the worst controller I have ever used. The F310 was much better. Also, I didn't get this extensor chord you got when I got it.
Yes I do! Great experiences for gaming, but it's TERRIBLE for submarine use.
Don't be like me where you get stuck 4000 m below the ocean surface near the Titanic!
This didnt aged well 💀
The manufacturer should include that it is not used to pilot submarines 😡
I tried playing Iron Lung with this controller for extra immersion
TH-cam recommendation has a sick sense of humor
That's some good editing and quality content for a tiny channel. Hopefully the oceangate event will bring more subs in.
awesome review, man. you got my sub
😂😂😂
😂😂
😭 bro is violating them
"you got my sub" marine 💀💀💀💀
Hi, thinking of using this controller to pilot my submarine/submersible to depths upto 3.8km do you recommend for this use or do you think i should get something more modern than a 12 year old xbox 360 knock off? Thanks.
I’m thinking of getting the steam deck in mine. I want that Wii U experience when I drive my RGB sub.
you should use keyboard mouse with wasd to control your sub.
This controller will be immortalised forever thanks to the internet.
This thing can withstand Titanfall 4000FT below.
Solid review. Truly underrated video.
You got a sub.
And they just lost one.
"Sub" marine 💀💀💀💀
The manufacturer should include that it is not used to pilot submarines
You can pilot a submarine with F710, ONCE
After getting stickdrifting my Sub-PC drowned. Thanks for review
your editing is legendary xD subbed!
Great review! Thank you :-)
Wow this is a very good video... I mean the animation/editing is way higher quality than most reviews on a decade old controller
I love this video! Amazing editing and info, I just bought this gamepad for pc games, this video is awesome
Thanks! I love the way like you have edited this video :)
I have this gamepad and you mentioned the exact problem I had with this gamepad, the back side and also mentioned everything else one needs to know. Informative video.
Very very well made content, keep up boss
High quality video!! Hope you get more subs and attention.
Thank you my dude! Glad you like it :)
Excellent review. Thank you!
Loved your video, you have a new sub right here!
Great review. Would love to see you tackle more retro controllers. I still have my old Saitek pad just for retro stuff. Have seen these around but never tried one. So nice to have a good dpad for fighting games on pc.
I will probably some in the future. Eying my Microsoft Sidewinder gamepad right now ;)
Как настроить его для игры в Subnautica?
Love using this controller to play subnautica
Highly recommended by Oceangate
I appreciate your genuineness✌
Great work, i hope your chanel's gonna grow up!
Thank you very much ;)
Just found this channel, I like this guy he's honest lol.
This controller is part of tragic history now
I had like 5 gamepads, including Xbox 360 original with USB receiver and I must say Logitech F710 is my favourite. Nice built quality, long battery life, good quality analog sticks and buttons. I also appreciate the vibration switch and Mode button that you can switch between left analog stick and d-pad. That function is awesome because some games play better with one or another, so you don't need mess around with controller settings for different games. D-input/X-input switch is must have since Mednafen PSX emulation freaks out with analog triggers. I use it for everything from Steam to countless emulators of retro computers, consoles and arcades. One gamepad for everything is my way.
I have been using one for 7 years and it have no problems at all. I'm a heavy gamer as well. Really recommended.
wow i really like ur style man and i just forgot about the review lol
you so underrated bro
Best PC Gamepad? Nah, Best Submarine Controller.
Highly recommended by Oceangate
Loved your video, I can still hear you voice in my head when I read your replies.
Haha, thanks for checking it out. As for the voice - I hope that's a good thing! 😅
See you around, Runner!
Thank you for the Detailed information about this Controller. Need A Controller to Play Ride 4.
I have the F310 version since 3 years and it has not develop any sticky gummy rubbery stuff. Maybe Logitech are using other material for the later versions of the F310/F710 in 2020.
Still works 100%. Also had the new Xbox One X/S wireless controller that got stickdrift on its left stick and returned it to amazon. Kept my F310. no stick drift. Gonna buy the F710 after seeing your funny and GOOD F710 review. thanks.
NICE ONE
THANK YOU
F710 is my favourite controller. I had many of them even the original Microsoft 360 one with the USB receiver. Microsoft was oretty nice too, but I prefer simetrical sticks layout. I use it for Steam and various emulators. It works like a charm for like 2 years now. The quality is great. I was worried about D-Pad but it's good enough. I know since I use D-Pad on retro games and it's precise and responsive. Not stiff at all.
Hey question does it work with submarines or submersible that go down to the titanic
after playing subnautica... and going below 4km underwater... the controller dies...
Highly recommended by Oceangate
Chat Don't use it for Subnautica
The rubber goes bad if it is exposed to UV rays (Sunlight) it breaks down the rubber molecules. Heat also does a similar thing. Storing it in a cabinet or a dark place is a good idea.
I'm considering getting this specifically so I can get older games without any hassle. I've been eyeing it for years, actually, but I've never pulled the trigger. I like my Xbone pad and I'll probably prefer it for most newer games that have xinput support so I'm not sure if I'll get my money's worth. Still, the thought of having a solid pad that has dinput support at the flick of a switch is appealing...
Had x2 of these bad boys for years, I swear by them 🎮
Can't blame you for recognizing quality 😁👌
i just subscribe nice channel
Lizard Skins help to improve the the feel and grip problem, but a little expensive, perhaps?
After getting stickdrift on another official MS Xbox controller (Series S/X) (PC use) I decided to order this. Fingers crossed I'll like it as it seems a lot more durable from what I can find.
For Xbox I will probably still use Xbox controllers though given my time on Xbox is limited this should hopefully help in the long run.
Don't worry is durable enough to survive 13,000 feet under water
Great content man. Subbed! May i know the name of the game on 10:38? Thanks!
Thanks! And that's a game that I have just covered in my last video 😁 th-cam.com/video/dHFDHxMz-0c/w-d-xo.html
@@PixelPolishTV question: does f710 work on a ps4?
Hello, I was having problem with the sticky rubber like material on the back so I used isopropyl to remove it. Now the grip is also gone. Any ideas on how to regain the grip.?
10:00 it will turn in sticky gunk eventually, but you can remove it with isopropyl alcohol.
Not looking forward to that but yeah, I know about iso and will have to do it eventually :/
Work in batocera or emuletec or retroarch or any tv box or any linux pc??
Logitech controller is probably the most underrated gamepad out there. I've had the F310 myself for more than 5 years, and the buttons feel exactly the same as day 1. No analog drift, no broken keys, no "ghost presses". My only complaint is the pressing of the L1 and R1 buttons. The short travel click doesn't give satisfying feedback. However, the pros far outweigh the cons. Oh yeah, and THE BEST d-pad I've ever experienced. So satisfying, specifically with shmups and platformers. Will be upgrading soon to the F710.
I like this controller too. I liked it so much I put it in my submarine and went diving in my large bathtub looking for the Titanic.
Can you give me the link for logitech profiller f710 , causs it's really hard to find it
I bought this controller in 2013 and it still works perfectly until now
So it doesnt have any compatibilty issues? I wanna buy one but ive heard people saying it doesnt work with certain versions of windows 10
@@ohitsjodan this is one of the best controller ever made
@@ohitsjodan now im using this controller to play emulator game on my android tablet, i dont know if it have compability issue on windows 10, last time im using it on my old windows 8.1 pc it's work great
You can’t charge it right? It only use battery? I just wanna know the usefulness of the cable that comes with it
@@alexingram127 yup only use battery
I own the f310 and was wondering if the wireless one is as good, I guess I'm upgrading soon thanks for the review
Got mine today. Works like a charm.
@@diggie9598 how's the vibration ?
@@hyleenpognaire8134 Its good , not on The level of dualshock 4. But still better then on some really cheap ones. I like it
Running on Linux, works like a charm
I’ve never used a Logitech controller, one of my old friends had one, we would play little big planet and ratchet and clank but I don’t remember any of us using it.
Only problem this controller has with PS3 is that sadly the big Logitech button doesn't function as the PS button, but the fact it works at all is a small miracle ;)
F710 is a perfect controller for its price
Highly recommended by Oceangate
got this controller for over 2 years now. the force, the stick centers are very strong, so its not good for ego shooters or fine control. the triggers are extremely stiff. without modding the springs ure fingers hurt very shortly. the wireless range is only about up to 3 meters, thats not much. even if u use the controller very close to the receiver it loses connection very often and the last button/stick u pressed/moved persists for around 2 seconds. very bad to drive/aim because u crash into walls or spin around in shooters. the inputs from the sticks are not fully constant, if you hold the stick, the input lags a bit, means its no constant flow its more jumpy. due to the low power usage and longlife of batteries the strength of the bluetooth connection is very weak. a big bad thing is, that the controller goes very fast into sleep mode, so no sticks or triggers are active. u have to press buttons to awake him again and so u have to cast/execute unwanted functions/skills then. for around 2 years of use i had to disasamble the controller multipe times to correct the drifting and put some lubrication into the stick mechanism because they become scratchy and inaccurate of the stiffness. iam very carfull in use with electronic devices so the controller looks still like new and never overstressed or dropped it. the controller has a decent quality but is not good if u need precise control ingame or dont want to have risky moments when it loses connection. the controller would be perfect if it has a wired connection and less stiffness ,)
Yea its meant for budget or causal users who just want a controller to play controller friendly games like Stray, Resident Evil series on the consoles PS1/PS2/PS3 etc
Thanks for both your comment and the video author mentioning the sticks. I don't know why, but many reviewers completely ignore how firm analogue sticks are on a controller that is being reviewed. For me, that's the most important part of a modern controller. While I personally really, REALLY like everything about the goold old Xbox 360 controller, I can't stand how firm the analogue sticks are compared to newer revisions (Xbox One or PS4 controllers). The design really shows how the mentality has changed over the years since more and more FPS games were released for consoles. XBO/PS4 reflects that with their controllers - the analogue sticks are so easy and nice to move around. My thumbs feel tired when I go back to Xbox 360 controller. I hoped that F710 would have more loose sticks, since I really prefer the Playstation controller layout. Was looking for some PC dedicated alternative with similar layout, but I guess I'll just have to buy Dualshock 4 or Dualsense if I want that layout combined with quality and loose sticks...
Hey, my xbox one controller broke down after just 1 year (I didn’t drop it or smth like that) and im looking for a new one that will stay with me for years and I was wondering, is it worth it to buy this one in 2021? Does it work with games on PC xbox game pass?
Im wondering too ive heard that xbox controllers are kinda iffy when it comes to durability but at the same time ive seen people say that this one has compatibilty issues with some versions of windows 10, however there are some known apparently everythings just confusing tbh
Yes the controller works with pc xbox game pass, I owned an xbox and used the xbox one controllers and they always had issues for me, and I had to buy new ones twice. The logitech ones will pretty much last forever and are all around workhorses. My f310 has been with me for 3 years and it has zero issues
It’s a nice controller. I have the corded version
Question: does it also have the deteriorating rubber coating problem?
@@PixelPolishTV unfortunately, yes.
@@BrunoFonsecaPT Well that's a pity. One of the very few flaws of this peripheral. Hope manufacturers learned from their mistakes and ditched those pseudo-silk materials. But then again, probably not, because that's how you force consumers to replace otherwise perfectly fine gear...
@@PixelPolishTV it is also about price. a better grip texture costs more to produce and ups the cost. you can remove the coating later down the road though and the more you expose it to UV light the faster it will happen down the road.
A tragedy
And it was there.
Can use for Window 11 ?
yes
@@gatk3492 Can i use this pad if im gaming NBA 2k22?
Yes
hello Pixel Polish can you make me a admin in the mh4u fb page that you make back then?
The people the own oceangate probably saw this video and thought it was a good idea 💀
💀
I like your pixelated PS1 era style 3d models, very cool.
Unfortunately, the controllers sucks balls so, no thanks.
Currently the F710 has issues with drivers in both modes - the rumble barely works, the connection cuts out randomly and D-input has its controls literally flipped around with some buttons not being mapped at all for some reason. This thing is over a decade old and not that comfortable to be honest, I regret getting it as a replacement for the F310 which obviously didn't have any lag, connection issues and didn't weigh a ton like the F710 does. Besides the backwards ergonomics, the connection is bound to be constantly interrupted by the fact this thing has a 2.4 ghz connection. Logitech definitely won't address any of those issues, yet they insist on making and selling this device despite knowing about the issues plaguing it - batteries that came with my unit had a manufacture date of June 2021... As is, this thing is useless, don't buy.
ikr, the connection is really bad compared to current wireless peripheral.
does it work with NBA 2k22?
probably yes since it supports xbox inputs
Do NOT use this controller to control a submarine
obviously not lmao
This controller doesn’t work on max computers!
