My wife just left me after almost two decades because I kept on failing at losing my weight.
It was a punch in the face. I may never have her back, but the silver lining is that I get to begin to find myself and learn to love myself. I'm in the gym everyday now. Lesson learned and I'm NOT failing this time. It's not an option.

Always appreciate this podcast. I too have struggled with binge eating and seeing all of the solutions and eerily similar struggles I have seen in this podcast is something I have never seen before. Every podcast of yours I see I get a little better and a little wiser. I will keep coming back because we are a community.

The thing you said about the three different body types really resonated with me because so many people don't understand (whether it be BED, anorexia, bulimia, or another ED) that an eating disorder is a mental illness, not a weight. Eating disorders/mental illnesses don't discriminate. Death doesn't discriminate.

With my binges I would buy two drinks or ask for extra silverware so the person handing me food wouldn't think it was all for me--as if they were even judging me.
I'm down 50 pounds since June of 2022 though and about 70 pounds to go before I'm at my goal weight. There really is a point where you hit the wall and are like "I can't go on like this".

I hate how much of myself I see in a lot of this. The unlimited food at Grandmas (why the hell does a kid need 2 value meals from Taco Bell), the planning binges when my wife is out of town.

I'm really inspired by your story. I have struggled with a restrictive ED and though my journey looks very different from yours, I think it's important to recognize that BED is an ED (actually the most common ED in the US), and it can be dangerous like any other ED. People think people with EDs are only emaciated anorexics and bulimics when in fact the majority of people with EDs are normal weight or overweight/obese. In fact, many of the people mocked on shows like My 600-LB Life probably struggle with severe BED and are in just as dire a situation as emaciated ED sufferers. The fact that you are willing to kick BED's ass and become an athlete at the same time is commendable.

Hits hard on many levels, my biggest blow was the alzheimer bit. Last year i lost both my parents, both had alzheimer, as a kid i lost both my grandmothers to that terrible illness. So i donated, offcourse, and shared on IG. So go donate if you read this, please.

We are a community! Man, not gonna lie it took me a lot to get through this episode. Not in a bad way, but I'm just here shaking my head like "yuuuupppp I know that feeling" the whole damn time.

Watching this is like looking in the mirror. I’ve always suffered with my weight but things got real bad for me when my ex had an affair and left me nearly five years ago. Since then I’ve gotten totally out of control. It stops now for me, I’ve hit that wall. No more.

Try low carb or keto diet and fasting with your training. Track your macros with an app. It can curb your physiological addiction to carbs and sugar. Takes dedication and time but the burden of craving will greatly subside.

is BED when you are pulled to the fridge when you're not even hungry, and having to fight yourself not to eat when your not hungry?

How about dropping your calories below 2200?, get rid of the bla bla bla and eat less.
