    Ya know its funny. I think the Luke and Vadar hallway scenes are so well received is because they portray Luke in Vader in the way fans wanted to see them. But as much as I hate to admit it, it didn't amount to anything in the end. In BOBF, he makes the same mistakes of the old Jedi order, forbidding attachments when he of all people should know damn well why attachments are a good thing. It was his attachment to Vader that saved himself and Vader.
      But it's all pointless. He still ends up training Kylo. He still ends up shitting on everything everyone had worked so hard to build since the Empire. As long as KK's fan fictions exist, this scene will be nothing but flash and nostalgia. And as it turns out, that's all it's ever going to be.

      What makes it truly Iconic.. is it redeems Vader AND the Star Wars franchise after the awful prequels.. Vader is Death incarnate, his full glory, what we always wanted that never got.. Same as the Luke scene, completely redeemed him after the awful Sequels and with it, the franchise.. The Obi Wan series, just wasnt necessary, but its a wash for me, some good, some bad, doesnt move the needle either way..

    • @Zapatozi
      @Zapatozi ปีที่แล้ว +81

      @antedote1 Prequels were goated, tf u on about. Got the best lightsaber fights, Anakin vs Obi-Wan, Darth Maul vs Qui-Gon Jinn & Obi-Wan, Yoda vs Palpatine, Count Dooku vs Yoda etc along with good storytelling. Yes, the dialogs could have been better, but that doesn't make the prequels terrible. They were about Anakin and I liked his story.

      @user-cr2yx6ky4y ปีที่แล้ว +81

      I think, it would be better, if this series tell us about New Jedi Order Academi, in which Luke with another Jedi, who have survived the Order 66 and imperial time, educated new generation of Jedi and complete some missions in galaxy to help the New Rebublic government. In this missions and lessons we could see the formation of Ben's character and his fall to the dark side, because of his disappointment in his parent's and rebels ideals. Also there we could show the social and political crisis in New Rebublic, which create conditions for the next war with impire's fragments.
      And of course, we ignore the Disney's sequels.

      Lightsabers don't work well underwater. It needs oxygen to fuel the plasma energy it emits. Without any modifications, Obi-wans saber would've likely just short-circuited upon contact with the glass and water, leaving him with a broken saber and a ton of stormtroopers.

    I think what made Luke's hallway scene really awesome is that he didn't held back at all. He knew the dark troopers were just droids, so he was given the chance to unleashed all his mastery of the force and lightsaber skills against them. He would've never slashed through the hallway like a meat grinder if the troopers were living beings inside since he's a true and compassionate Jedi that serves to protect, not kill

    Vader's scene is just the primal rage, dread and overall power of the dark side personified as the soldiers as well as the audience are reminded what the sith are and represent.
    While luke's scene is a combo of both. He has his father's offensive tendancies but obi wan's teachings to be on the defencive, both having influenced him even if vader wasnt a part of luke's life.
    Fav is vader tho. 😂

    Holy crap! I just realized something. As Obi-Wan begins to re-master the Force, he does so in every scene, including the climax. In other words, in every episode, he goes from being a Force-sensitive to a talented padawan to a knowledgable Jedi, to a skilled Knight, and ultimately, in the end, Jedi Master. In the course of the show, we see the journey of a Force User from start to finish. How sublime.

It's dark and you hear Vader's breathing and you're totally sucked in this moment just like the Rebels on the edge of your seat or at least I was completely glued to the screen and just as Vader ignites his lightsaber you hear the guy make a light saber ignition sound so loud you don't even hear the audio from the movie of the ignition and it completely took me out of the moment. Still irritates me to this day whenever I see the clip.

He also shows up in the Book of Boba Fett, I think in episode 6, after the writers ran out of Boba Fett content and turned the show in The Mandalorian S2.5, which, honestly, wasn't all that bad of a decision

    I think Vader’s was best from a cinematic experience. The fear of the rebel soldiers, and the sudden shock and the evil creativity of how he dispatches them. Luke’s had potential but I think fans are more happy to see him than anything else because of what the sequel trilogy did to him. Obi-wans was just not shot well and lacked creativity as well as dominance-hard to cheer for him.
