I didn't miss the book of Boba Fett, I didn't want to watch it because I'm not interested. I really think this is a kind of betrayal of the fans of the Mandalorian. I loved the arc and the rescue of Grogu by Luke. I think a lot of people shed tears at the end of season 2 like me. And then to watch the beginning of season 3 being like: Why is Grogu back, where is Luke, how did the Mandalorian get his new ship... There wasn't even an explanation. I am disappointed.

Grogu taking the shirt instead of the saber is symbolic that he’s choosing his own path to become a Jedi. Which is fitting as Mandos partner, since he was just banished from his other fellow Mandalorian for breaking their code as well
Ehh... Luke became a Jedi with a montage of him doing flips with Yoda on his back. I'm pretty sure Grogu just became a Jedi too. :P My prediction is that Mando will need help controlling the Darksaber and will return to Luke and Asoka with Grogu to train together.

This show is masterpiece Adding all these characters and scenes is what made the book of boba fett one of the best things to have ever come out in all of Star Wars when you watch it you get this feeling that your watching continuing of return of the jedi you have Luke you have boba Jabbas palace the rancor R2-D2 slave one Gamorrean guards Jabbas family members the Sarlacc pit boba escaping the pit the tusken Raiders there is so much original trilogy stuff added into this series which really makes it special
In my opinion Grogu will be like the next Yoda but will rebuild the Jedi order’s ideologies to what they should actually be. More humane, and better Jedi order. I believe he only wants to do good but also believes in loyalty. He will have his training complete but at its time. Remember he’s only 50
guess we all agree the new movies are not canon. imo, the choice luke gave grogu is the first step towards his jedi 2.0 as in original canon. would not be surprised if it was revealed that it was not a choice at all, but a test of priorities. what's better than a jedi or a mandalorian ? both, as a team of father and son as well as an individual, tempered by experience
