Ahsoka’s survival is even more incredible when you think about the fact that Anakin is quite literally the reason she was able to survive being shot at from such close proximity like that. He literally taught her exactly what she needed to be able to survive Order 66 without realizing it.
I was thinking exactly that. This is an amazing show of the skills anakin taught her in tales of the Jedi. And then she adapted it to make a hole for her escape, improving her masters teachings. was amazing
Because only a few Jedi, like the Yoda-Dooku-Jinn-Kenobi-Skywalker chain, are wise enough to teach their apprentices actual combat skills. Not just the bare minimum to protect themselves because they "aren't soldiers". Jedi combat doctrine by the point of order 66 was literally that it was unhealthy and improper to focus on war and combat more than was absolutely necessary. Those Jedi above said "Fuck that, youll damn well be learning how to PROPERLY fight, given that we frequently serve as soldiers(!)"
3:54 R.I.P Plo koon. He was one of my favourite jedi. he trusted and loved the clones so much that the last thing he expected was for them to blow him up.
2:23 - I wish this had Cody's line from the novel. "Would it have been too much to ask for the order to have come through before I gave him back the bloody lightsaber?"
I used to wonder why Palpy didn't get tired of having to say "execute order sixty-six" over and over again on the radio. I now realize that he absolutely loved it. He'd wake up each morning and think fondly of giving the order before settling in to each days' (repetitive) task with joy.
I'm pretty sure that he didn't give an individual message to each and every Clone Commander. He probably just did for the Jedi Council, as they'd be the biggest threat.
@@Awesomest915no remember he told Commander Cody specifically to execute order 66. So he probably sent individual orders in person to do it for the biggest threats.
@@Warsie But all his other orders are just the same take over and over. Notice how his inflection is identical between his orders to the Wolfpack (the ones who shoot down Plo Koon) and to Rex. He probably gave the order to Cody personally just to have the satisfaction of actually saying it to a Clone.
5:44 Zett Jukassa was a legend. he fought back against the clones. Bro's thoughts were "If I am going down, I'll go down swinging!" He was just a youngling, but he fought those clones like a beast!

5:10 One of the most ironic and saddest parts, is that even though Anakin was never granted the rank of master, and the council never acknowledged him as being one, the jedi younglings saw him as one, and even referred to him as Master Skywalker and trusted that he would be the one to save them. But little did they know that he was too far gone, and being "Master Skywalker" did not matter to him anymore, and they unfortunately would perish despite trusting him and having hope that he would be their savior.
He did fulfill the prophecy about bringing balance to the Force in the end. During the reign of the Empire, the Force was tilted heavily in favor of the Sith. With Palpatine's death and Anakin's redemption, balance was restored. And then Disney torched all of that.
It depends on age, Even if you are a knight, younglings still have to refer to you as master. Same reason ahsoka called him master. Had nothing to do with rank.. it's respect. They would of called ahsoka master.
@@AdderTudeSo did Legends when you think about it. As much as the New Jedi Order in that storyline is great and what should have been in canon, somehow Palpatine also returned in that timeline and also made Luke evil....... Then Chewie's death in Yuuzhan Vong War happens and Han basically blames his youngest son Anakin Solo for it and never considered to forgive him until he died...... But hey, they named a starship after him so thats forgiveness right? Then the thing with Lumiya and Jacen Solo becoming Darth Caedus. So much for Anakin bringing the balance in the Force on that front........ And finally, the issue of Darth Krayt destroying everything Luke and his allies built in the future.....all because Obi Wan apparently left him to die........ Both Canon and Legends (post Return of the Jedi) have great missed the mark on almost all fronts except a few.
Not certainly in that way. Anakin was introduced to the rank of knights and had a Padawan, which means he was also a Jedi Master. It can also be attributed to the fact that five-year-old children are unlikely to particularly understand ranks; they know that Skywalker is a famous Jedi general, well, ok, that means a master. This is a child, not an adult professional.
It did matter to him. He forced himself to do these things to dive deeper in the dark side in order to learn the secrets to saving padme. So palpatine told him. That's why he cries. He can't believe he's doing what he's doing, but he needs to save his wife.
Order 66 is the most heartbreaking scene in all of Star Wars. The Jedi, the heroes, the good guys, ruthlessly and brutally murdered down to their youngest members by those they trusted.
Why do you think it's called Revenge of the Sith? The Jedi had this a long time coming for Genociding the Sith on multiple occasions. Plus they are just a religious cult and had literally 0 authority to attack Palpatine outside, we don't like his religion.
@@chopper39405 Jedi committed treason. Is that enough to justify a genocide against every Jedi? Including Jedi who weren’t even at the temple or even knew about palpatine being a sith? Yes the Jedi did attempt the genocide against the sith but sith are equally as bad if not worse. The sith use slavery, hostages, and attack civilians without any real reason. The Jedi and republic did have their fair share of war crimes and faults, but they are no more than what the sith have done for thousands of years. The Jedi had compassion for their citizens and their soldiers. Order 66 wasn’t a back up plan in case the Jedi tried to overthrow palpatine, it was an order of genocide by a Sith Lord who started the clone wars and all the tragic events after it. While the Jedi certainly aren’t perfect representatives of peace, they are definitely better people of good moral values than the sith.
@@thedetectove That is, in your opinion, the second in command of the Jedi, who essentially controls the Jedi Order, accompanied by 3 strong masters, attack the office of the Chancellor of the Republic and this cannot be considered as an attempt to overthrow the power of the Republic by the highest leadership of the Jedi, this is not a reason to believe that the Jedi Order has gone against the interests of the republic? During the times of the empire, when the Sith ruled, that is, Darth Sidious and Darth Vader, life was better in the empire than under the republic, new and old. In the empire, slavery, piracy and many other problems were eradicated, in the empire the government tried to create a stable state, life was better in the empire. Yes, this rule was at the expense of military power, yes, the Empire committed genocide to many races that destabilized the situation in the empire and disrupted its order, but at the same time, the planets were even allowed to have an independent policy, have an army, planetary shields and even a fleet, as well as much more. But then the time came and the Jedi rebelled again, and the situation in the galaxy again became destabilized, after which more races that openly supported the rebels were subjected to genocide. As a result, after the victory of the Jedi, complete chaos ensued in the galaxy, and after that another war. If it weren't for the Jedi, the empire's structure could have lasted for centuries and developed life in the galaxy, the empire could have become the best state that has ever existed. Yes, this was achieved by various “wrong” methods, intimidation and genocide of unwanted races, but this ultimately led the empire to prosperity, to the prosperity of life in it. What happened to the Republic before the Clone War, or after? Constant conflicts, piracy, slavery, corruption, intrigue in the Senate, enormous poverty, and much more.

Rex was telling Ahsoka to look at Fives's file about the chips. He meant for her to find the information to confirm why the killing of Jedi is happening. Fives tried to save the Jedi as he died for what he believed in. 😢
@@jamesplunkett8912 seriously- if Fives hadn’t done what he did, Rex would never have been able to warn Ahsoka about what to do. Ahsoka would have most likely died, and Rex would still be under the influence of the inhibitor chip.
@@someghosthunter if I remember correctly most of the 501st speech in battlefront 2 was just them talking in past tense. So the guys just talking about the past, could be wrong been awhile since I popped in Bf2. Gonna load it up when home to check
Didn't realize this until now, but Rex says, "Fives. Find him. Find him." Because in the earlier seasons, Fives tried to warn them all about the inhibitors. I also noticed that Rex was on the verge of tears, probably realizing that Fives was right.
Although the Fives/Inhibitor thing wasn't a bad plot, I always liked the old canon better, where the Clones always knew they were going to kill the Jedi, but they also just knew never to say anything about it to anyone.
Rex in that moment was trying to hold onto something, What fives said, trying to warn him and Skywalker about the chips. It was probably the ONLY thing be could think of in that moment as he fought against the chips effects. Cody and other clone commanders would have done the same of they knew about the chip.
@@TheeTy294the no chip was just never feasible, because a clone could have just either slipped the conspiracy up or just flat out refuse. If there werenbo chips at all, most clones wont even follow the order. Especially the ones under Plo Koon. And Plo Koon is basically another Jedi who could basically go toe to toe with Palpatine.

Whether it's the cannon mind control chip or Legends contingency orders preprogrammed, Order 66 was a master plan, the perfect trap for the Jedi, and with each new content, the depth of that plan simply boggles the mind.
I never liked the 'chip' retcon. The brilliance was that Obi-wan (and the Jedi) were TOLD the clones would blindly follow orders in Ep. II. Also, as Ep. III was both a history allegory of the German Republic becoming a fascist Empire and a warning for our own militarization and post-9/11 'security' mentality, it touches on the "just following orders" pitfall of soldiers.
@@RonW4684maybe it makes the Clones a follow orders thing, but A) Clone Wars paints a lot of contradictions to that even before the Disney Canon exclusive seasons 6 and 7. Especially in season 4. B) the whole contingency plan is just boring to me personally. It makes the clones seem more like assholes than anything and truly no different than organic Battle Droids. With the inhibitor chip, it makes both the Jedi and Clones super tragic victims. I get where you’re coming at with Order 66 being comparable to fascist Germany, but that doesn’t make the contingency plan thing any less boring to me. Especially since it doesn’t even matter seeing as how only 66 ever mattered.
@@Mojo1356 gotta disagree, the chip makes them more like droids, not less. It's exactly what you'd do with a robot, modify the programming to modify the function (or targeting, in this case).
@@eddymercan7487 how about I show you Clone Wars and Bad Batch where Rex and Wrecker both tried to resist the inhibitor chip’s programming? No Battle Droid would dare disobey an order in such a manner.
Out of context, it's almost like the humanized version of Bambi. Where a mother is being brutally murdered and she screams for her son to run and not look back because she doesn't want him to see her die.
That sweet little boy asking Anakin what they’re supposed to do always breaks my heart. That was the first time in the movies someone called Anakin Master. He doesn’t look like he enjoys it, but he feels he has no choice. So much wanton death and destruction…a cinematic masterpiece to crush our souls to pieces.
One detail i love is that even though the clones are generally very tactical and speak in a way similar to modern soldiers, when they receive order 66, they don't say "yes sir" or "affirmative" or some generic military style term, instead they say "It will be done my Lord" and "yes, Lord Sidious" like a trooper of the old Sith Empire would adress a Sith Lord, it shows both how petty Palpatine is to code that in their programming just to stroke his ego, but also shows how through his infiltration he was slowly turning the Republic into the new Sith Empire from the inside and this is the singular moment when the transition is complete and the facade falls apart
It doesn't make sense also. The orders literally are public contingency orders, the Jedi would see that shit when they go through the contingency orders. It would make more sense for "yes chancellor" or something like that instead
@@prismanic24 At the time though, there was an issue with it. It was just an hour ago, Anakin decided to turn Palpatine in to the Jedi Council. Then after said hour, hes okay with killing children with no remorse.
3:17 aayla secura had it the worst. Her lightsaber wasnt in her hand rn, and when the clones aimed, she didn't sense anything had gone wrong, so she looked to see if there were droids or something and then when the clones started shooting her, her last thoughts were probably "wtf???!!!!"

This is by far the absolute best order 66 scene combination I have seen yet. Very well put together. I love how the music feels natural, and doesn't cut off from scene to scene, or change to a different tune entirely. Well made indeed.
I have the head canon that one of the resons that order 66 was effective it was that the Jedi were surprised by mixed feelings when the clones attacked them, because at that point much of them became good friends with them
That and also many were asleep, meditating and studying. The strongest masters and warriors were out on the battlefield, leaving more passive and scholarly Jedi at the temple. Master Velti was one of a few capable of taking down many, whereas Grogu’s protectors were most likely scholars/teachers with little real combat experience
And it shows that Palpatine was right to identify Kenobi as the greatest threat to his grip on Anakin. When Kenobi and Anakin meet on Mustifar, Anakin doesn't immediatley attack even while accusing Padme of betrayal by bringing Obi-Wan to kill him. Instead he talks about ending the Clone War and creating an Empire. At one point he even warns Obi-Wan "Don't make me kill you" after he has already killed scores of Jedi and younglings without mercy. In the novalization he actually told Obi-Wan to run and added that others would look for him,but he wouldn't. It was only when Obi-Wan told Anakin "I will do what I must" ignited his Lightsaber, and took a fighting stance, that Anakin attacked.
Wow, this is the best edit I’ve seen of order 66. It really feels like one bad 7 minutes for the whole galaxy. Put into perspective that Grogu was fleeing the temple the same time Reva was stabbed by Anakin, the same time Depa was shot down, the same time Obi wan was betrayed. It really hits you and this is the first time I cried during the scene where Anakin kills the younglings. Thank you for this
That Kid actor at 5:17 is so good at making you feel his fear. The way he twitches at the sight of Anakins saber, and the way he wants to reach for his lightsaber as a reaction from his jedi training, but he hesitates because he trusts Slywalker.
A Tales of the Jedi episode shows that Anakin trained her for this exact scenario. It's sort of like they retconned an explanation for her improbable survival, or perhaps Feloni had it planned all along (Tales of the Jedi was produced after the Clone Wars episode shown here)

Order 66 is such an important event in the Star Wars timeline. It is always a part of Star Wars that I will never get bored of revisiting. It also shows how large the Star Wars universe is and how one moment can cause a ripple in it.
Plo Koon's death is what mare me sad. He was my favourite jedi and the fact that he actually loved and treated his clones as people instead of weapons make it much sadder that the clones are the ones to kill him
The scariest thing about Order 66 is that in Ep4, we knew the Jedi all died at the hands of the Empire, but the Clone Wars are mentioned in the same conversation. This might lead a new viewer to think "Jedi died in a galactic war of some kind", which is true but so much more take than the horror of seeing them being gunned down by the clone troopers they were supposed to trust with their lives. This wasn't war. This was mass murder on a galactic scale.
This is just an absolutely PERFECT montage of Order 66! I just wish Kal’s assault was included on top of the rest. This is SO well done! Everything from how the clips are cut to where the music is placed is perfect Imagine how it would have gone if the Jedi discreetly added in Ahsoka-style training e.g. the training Anakin put her through. Imagine if half the Jedi in the temple survived and all the clone troopers were lost, Anakin captured by the surviving Jedi. Always fun to explore alternative outcomes. Can we talk about how the Jedi knight or Master protecting the younglings was absolutely nasty with it? She did her very best until the end. RIP. IMO it only really hit home when you see Rex turning on Ahsoka. Their relationship was very well established up to the point that the Order 66 scene was shown on TCW. Really well put together with the editing to preserve the score A domino saved Ahsoka. Another one was part of the squad that saved Caleb. That was fucking awesome! But I can't lie...The music from the temple scene is giving me goosebumps every time. What a masterpiece by John Williams
Order 66 is one of the most dramatic events of this franchise because of its cold brutality. The "Kenobi" series was just to get favorite characters on screen again in a very awkward and clumsy way. They were afraid of telling a new story even though they created an amazing one with Reva, being one of the very few survivors of the event at a galactic level (and one of the few who know Vader's true identity), and how it traumatized and broke her, from her perspective, driven by contempt and rage to the dark side herself for Skywalker's betrayal of everything he worked for. That series should have been about her, focused on her and her eventual tragedy. They had a killer story and they buried it under the hype for Ewan and Hayden together again because Hollywood just wants to rehash the same characters over and over again, only to show Anakin and Kenobi KEEP MAKING THE SAME CHOICES and THE SAME MISTAKES they already made before.
@@stormisuedonym4599what I think he’s trying to say is that it could have been a amazing story for Reva. It’s like being one of the survivors of a mass slaughter, especially since she literally survived getting stabbed. They could have made an incredible story for her, but like he said they didn’t
@@tasthegod1863 given how we know force users can use the Dark Side to keep themselves alive if fatally wounded (Maul and Vader, for example), Reva's story could've utilised that. Though in fairness that's just a _very_ slight remake of her story - haven't watched Kenobi in a while, so there's probably more that could be changed.
@@DisasterEnby And that’s the thing, I feel like we could have some sort of backstory for her. Like the aftermath of what happened to her after she got stabbed, why she even join the inquisitors. I feel like there could have been more to character then what we have on the show

@@maxburrill6192

He probably pre-recorded the order and broadcast it to the army.

That transition at 2:53 was really good and natural. You can hear the jedi's scream transition perfectly into the next scene.

Order 66 is the most heartbreaking scene in all of Star Wars. The Jedi, the heroes, the good guys, ruthlessly and brutally murdered down to their youngest members by those they trusted.
I don’t know where you saw the good guys on the Jedi, the Jedi betrayed the republic, for which they paid.
Why do you think it's called Revenge of the Sith? The Jedi had this a long time coming for Genociding the Sith on multiple occasions. Plus they are just a religious cult and had literally 0 authority to attack Palpatine outside, we don't like his religion.
@@chopper3940Based.

I mean they're both super similar except that with the chip there'd be less to a chance of defective clones unless their chips were
I never liked the 'chip' retcon.

The way this makes out that Cody was the first clone to get the orders really works well. Of course Obi would be the first and main target
And it shows that Palpatine was right to identify Kenobi as the greatest threat to his grip on Anakin. When Kenobi and Anakin meet on Mustifar,
Anakin doesn't immediatley attack even while accusing Padme of betrayal by bringing Obi-Wan to kill him. Instead he talks about ending the Clone War and creating an Empire. At one point he even warns Obi-Wan "Don't make me kill you" after he has already killed scores of Jedi and younglings
without mercy.
Plo Koon's death is what mare me sad. He was my favourite jedi and the fact that he actually loved and treated his clones as people instead of weapons make it much sadder that the clones are the ones to kill him
The darkest hour in Star Wars history.
The darkest times of the Galactic Republic...
I will never not be moved to tears any time I see order 66 content
This is beyond outstanding, fantastic job
The scariest thing about Order 66 is that in Ep4, we knew the Jedi all died at the hands of the Empire, but the Clone Wars are mentioned in the same conversation.
This might lead a new viewer to think "Jedi died in a galactic war of some kind", which is true but so much more take than the horror of seeing them being gunned down by the clone troopers they were supposed to trust with their lives.
This wasn't war. This was mass murder on a galactic scale.
Would love an entire movie based on this exact moment. Give us 2 + hours of Order 66 madness
Yeah, you get legit 2+ hours of this event happening. They make it quicker than it actually was I think so? They could easily make this a movie
I respect the hell out of your effort in blending the music as beautifully as you did. Really well done 👏🏻
Saddest part was when Rex turned against Ahsoka
A domino saved Ahsoka. Another one was part of the squad that saved Caleb. The dominos were good soldiers
The dominos were good soldiers This is why Darth Sidious was the most unique Sith Lord in all the lore. No one in galactic history had ever wiped out the Jedi, some were extremely close but never for this long and not on this scale. Even the few who were stronger than Darth Sidious, never accomplished destroying the Jedi. Yoda sensing order 66 is very important as he’s the only one who senses the entire execution of the Jedi plus it’s a cool scene, but the entire edit is amazing one of the best I’ve seen I think you should revise slightly For those who don’t know, the clone standing next to Commander Gree at 4:43 is Jek from Clone Wars This was so well done. Kudos!!!!
One of the darkest and saddest/tear-jerking moments in the whole series. When I rewatched all of Star Wars this was one of the 15 moments I was crying my eyes out Man those scenes with the green-blade Jedi protecting the younglings were brutal I would love an entire movie based on this exact moment. Give us 2 + hours of Order 66 madness Esto sólo hace que lo que ya duele de por sí, duela mil veces peor. Excellent job. Very well done. I do wish you still included Yoda dropping his cane and sensing the betrayal galaxy-wide here at 3:34 And Padme and C3P0 as well as the wide shot of the Jedi Temple smoking as Bail arrives. At 5:25 Nonetheless, Bravo! Very well done. Do you also have the link for the 4K ROTS Edit? With how Disney portrays Jedi deflecting blaster fire, no wonder Order 66 was so effective.
I remember watching Clones Wars finale order 66 high af and it felt so dramatic & riveting. The music, after Ahsoka escaped & Rex was giving orders around the table to find her & was so suspenseful. What a moment!!! This is awesome, and also heartbreaking. Ashoka was insane I can't believe she managed to survive that. You did an amazing job! It had me in tears, so sad. The saddest part was when Rex turned against Ahsoka A lot of moments in SW get me but.... in Bad Batch when they show Order 66 and the Clones are repeating "Good soldiers follow orders" actually makes me sad.
"Amazing" isn't the word I would've picked to describe Reva's story.
More or less plays out the same way for the most part, but as she lets go at the end of the show, the two stab wounds to the abdomen set in.
I feel like there could have been more to character then what we have on the show
@@tasthegod1863
Given the lore behind how hot lightsaber blades are, she shouldn't have survived at all at that age. Kenobi and Ahsoka really dumbed down the lethality of lightsabers.
At the rate things are going with all these news scenes we’re getting, and not to mention editing tools/ai becoming more advanced, we’ll be able to cobble a full miniseries out of Revenge of the Sith.
I think Order 66 can be at least an extra episode in clone wars
Love this scene with that soundtrack 0:35 . Perfection.
Really well done - nicely spliced together
Thank you for putting all of the Order 66 scenes into this one video.
This is why Darth Sidious was the most unique Sith Lord in all the lore.

Imagine a show with proper budget aimed at an adult crowd, about pre-66, during 66 and shortly after.
Not while Kathleen Kennedy and former assistant to Harvey Wainstein Leslye Headland are in charge.
