1:25 Shinkai in my opinion is possible indeed recruited by Omer, just as another double agent inside ORCA instead of directly as OMER lynx. Shinkai wanted to honor Anjou's memory by inheriting her NEXT parts, something he can't do if he is publicly Omer's lynx as he too would need to use Omer's LAHIRE, assault rifle and their laser blade and cannot use Anjou's FLICKR , MOTORCOBRA and MOONLIGHT, so he struck a deal that still allows him to use his old/ANJOU's NEXT. However the indicator of his OMER allegiance lays in the back booster he uses, which is made by OMER. Maybe he's to keep watch of what's going on inside ORCA when Thermidor plays as Otsdarva. Probably not a coincidence why he's the last surviving ORCA member alongside Thermidor during league path final mission.

Well that is very kind of you to say so bravo. I admit thought this one was more i felt a repeat of what i said a couple if years ago with some new information thrown in. Still praise back to you too, i am planning now to watch your new ac funny moments video after I've answered some comments.
Never thought about Otsdarva's unorthodox piloting being because his style has to mesh with 2 different craft. It shows that he outclasses everyone besides the player and White Glint, being able to be #1, despite having to train/operate on 2 different Nexts. With WG at #9, did we ever find out how the Lynx ranks were established? How is Otsdarva #1 and White Glint #9? Those engineer texts are pretty spot on, especially the 1:44 comment that if certain engineers get promoted or transfer then certain parts will no longer be able to be made. Google's apparently going through a lot of that with their in-house tools breaking when the creator gets promoted. It's getting scary in manufacturing, because the new stuff sucks, and we're inching closer to the point where a lot of older tech is irrecoverable.
Ah sadly its all rather theory ground as the game nor the books tend to lean too much into him, but credit where due if he was trying to learn two styles and managed to master them to the point of being rank 1. As for ranks i believe it done based on thier known strength and skill, but ranks are not something i have looked into much. But they are a bit hit and miss really as even the league admits in game that white glint rank is lower then it should be. So i imagine there is a bit of politics in there too after all can't have the league foe be seen as the best but they can't g paint glint as really bad either as that would let the cat out the bag that the league are basically running collard behind the scene. Plus the death of many lynx who think he is an easy foe.
My theory for why Otsdarva fights you in the hard mode of the ORCA path is because Strayed caused the Closed Plan to be enacted much earlier than ORCA and the League expected. ORCA was basically created by the League to grant access to space without the League having to officially get their hands dirty. However, because the Closed Plan involves the Cradles crashing down to the surface and the League's leadership resides on the Cradles, the League needed time to prepare themselves for the Cradles' descent. When you compare each of the paths in ACFA, the League path has the most missions, and facing Thermidor and Shinkai at the end suggests that the League had enough time to prepare so that the key players of ORCA could enact the closed plan. The ORCA path has less missions, which could mean that less time had passed by the time Strayed attacks Arteria Cranium. Otsdarva was probably sent as backup to prevent Strayed from enacting the Closed Plan, allowing the League to finish their preparations, and then return later as Thermidor to finish the Closed Plan.
A very possible theory. Omer certainly needed time to get this all together and its no good if something or someone you can't control starts running ahead.
Come to think of it, this is also probably why Thermidor tells you to attack the Answerer before the mission where you attack Arteria Cranium. In the League Path, the Answerer has no role whatsoever and only appears in the epilogue, meaning that destroying the Answerer was never part of ORCA's Closed Plan preparations. Otsdarva probably figured, "This guy is making things happen too quickly, we gotta get rid of him somehow. Oh wait I know, I'll make him attack the League's most advanced Arms Fort. There's no way he'll survive this."
@@corvus9359 i don't think the time essence is a factor , he just wanted to claim credit for being the hero of the people , the one to kill the rebel revolutionaries so he tried to assassinate Strayed and then kill Wynne D and Roy Salaand . In the League path, should Strayed and Wynne D fail to defeat Thermidor and Shinkai , I imagine Thermidor would backstab Shinkai, before returning to Otsdarva persona and claim it was him Otsdarva who behead Thermidor the leader of Orca.
@@mauauauauaua14 That's a lot of speculation without much proof, and it doesn't really line up with what we know about how Otsdarva operates. Otsdarva isn't an independent so he's not allowed to just do whatever he wants. He works for Omer, which is the most powerful corporation within the League, and as a mercenary of Omer, his job is to take on jobs that work in Omer's interests. The League and Omer were the key forces behind ORCA's Closed Plan, and Thermidor's role was to fulfill the Closed Plan according to Omer's agenda. If Thermidor/Otsdarva's only motivation was to claim credit for enacting the Closed Plan, he would've just fought alongside Strayed in the ORCA path when he attacked Arteria Cranium.
@@corvus9359 "Otsdarva probably figured, "This guy is making things happen too quickly, we gotta get rid of him somehow. Oh wait I know, I'll make him attack the League's most advanced Arms Fort. I have a comment in AC Lore's Arms Fort video where I go into the possibility most missions in AC4A are intended to get Lynx killed, with no tangible benefit to the corporation if the pilot successfully completes the mission. The reason is the corps have gone away from Kojima Particle use, which poisons the environment. Nexts are just about the only uncontained sources of Kojima particles.
For answer isnt my favorite AC game, but Otsdarva is easily my favorite pilot and Stasis is my favorite AC of the series. The blue ACs in general historically go so freaking hard for no good reason Also funny fact! Kyle Herbert voices Otsdarva. The voice of freaking Ryu from street fighter.
One small detail that I found interesting is that Otsdarva's LAHIRE setup (R arm rifle, L arm laser, back R missiles) is very similar to Zanni's build from AC4. Coincidentally Zanni is the only character from AC4 to use ALICIA (RJ legs for AALIYAH) which Thermidore is also the sole user in ACFA. Now I am not saying they're the same character because we defeat Zanni in Marche Au Supplice, but it does feel like some kind of a callback to AC4.
The TYPE-LAHIRE is the sexiest frame of FA, just as the AALIYAH/ALICIA is the sexiest frame of 4. In that regard, it can be said that Otsdarva is a man of culture regardless of which side he's playing for.
I think he might be zanni think about it. Zanni had roughcut a Blue Alicia with Assault rifle and Energy Rifle. Unsung is later is exactly running this combination at hand with back mount upgrade. And lastly Stasis being blue and also an aerial focused next with exact same loadout ?. Which other rayleonard lynx run this exact arm weapon set ?, as default alicia is a motorcobra MG and Marve assault rifle. Berlioz is Marve Assault rifle and 051 rifle. Anjou and shinkai runs moonlight with either marve/hitman/motorcobra. Aabye runs dual motor cobra. Plus his mention of "I Surpassed You" against white glint the 2nd. Its as if he fought him before... (marche au supplice)
All good points and it is possible. Nothing is really expanded on in game and i really only made this video as i found the interview with the Raylonard tech and thought. This is probably worth getting out there. My only trouble with this is again shinkai profile and i would say the four vs one next fight but if white glint pilot can get pulled out the ocean then why not.
I don't know about this one. While I suppose anything is possible and as far as I can tell there's no information that outright debunks this theory, the information we do have makes it very unlikely. Zanni is an original, meaning he'd be an older pilot. Otsdarva is described as a talented pilot, but not a veteran pilot, with Roadie calling him Collared's "boy genius." Their personalities are also very different. Zanni's lines in-game show that he's willing to acknowledge the skills of his opponent, while Otsdarva is more arrogant and condescending. As Thermidor, he presents himself as very dramatic and a little self-righteous to some extent. Roughcut being a blue NEXT that uses an assault rifle, laser rifle, and missile launcher doesn't really mean anything. Roughcut, Unsung, and Stasis are not the only NEXTs that use this combination of weapon types. It's also worth noting that the laser rifle and missile launcher are exactly the same between Stasis and Unsung, instead of being just any laser rifle and missile launcher. It's also been established in A New Order for Next that Rayleonard had more Lynxes and AMS-compatible candidates than just the ones that appeared in Armored Core 4, and Rayleonard parts were easily accessible after Rayleonard's collapse, which immediately shuts down the idea that Otsdarva has to be one of the Lynxes that appear in AC4. Another thing to think about is if Otsdarva was Zanni, it wouldn't really make sense that Otsdarva would use the name "Maximillian Thermidor" piloting a NEXT called "Unsung" while working with ORCA. Shinkai was a Rayleonard Lynx working with ORCA and he didn't change his name or the name of his NEXT. If Otsdarva was Zanni, then he could've just used the name Zanni, piloting his NEXT, Roughcut. Also Otsdarva saying "I've surpassed you," doesn't actually suggest he's fought the pilot of White Glint before. Before that he also says "White Glint, all those silly legends. They die today." If Otsdarva had fought White Glint before, he wouldn't have said "You can fight, I'll give you that." If he'd fought him before, he would've already known what White Glint is capable of firsthand.
That is very kind, however i do feel i was repeating a lot i said in the thermidor video. But i just wanted to get that interview out there in some form.

Yes indeed. Perfectly sane.

This was confusing to my younger Raven self. Thank you for clarifying that he was a double agent
Well this is my second bite at the cherry talking about this character =) But i am glad i could help.
Nah, I’d- *ASSAULT ARMOR*
Honestly i did not mean to flash bang the viewers ha ha. But it really is how you have to play stasis to kill the big foes.
Without a doubt one of the most fascinating characters in the series.
He is certainly one that has stuck in the mind of lynxs.

Again very possible. The game certainly does not explore much and I'm still working my way through the books for the games.
Still crazy this guy is rank 1 with one the shittiest ac build ever conceived
yeah, worst ranked 1 AC preset IMO.
It's not that bad imo
The laser bazooka just could've used more ammo
1. from a cursory glance at the parts, it doesnt look so bad
2. i reached rank 1 with an OIGAMI build, which is the shittiest NEXT i have ever made
Oh i am so looking forward to seeing how stasis does in a can you beat acfa with it.
