That said, Americans don't even like their own country's brands and wonder why Japanese and German manufacturers can get away with selling vehicles with less equipment for more. they will never know because they never own a Chevy 😂. Don’t worry, let them stay brainwashed more cars for us! Listen people it’s all about how you take care of your your car. I have seen many Toyotas with blown head gaskets yes with high mileage I was just working on one putting catalytic converters on it 245,000 miles they last truly they do very well built machines. After starting up this SUV, all you could smell is that sweet from the tail pipe with plenty of white smoke to go with it. And that person already spent hundreds putting money into that car. My mother owns a Toyota Avalon 2002 had to get VVTI solenoids and all that replaced. Moral of the story yes, they were old. Yes, they were used, but every car will have its problems. Especially if they are not taken care of. If you take care of your car, they last. Same with Chevy and other American cars. They last if you take care of them. The only cars I honestly see that has more issues than all of these cars are Italian cars like Maserati’s. Those cars go your bank account goes with it. Same with German cars, but they last a lot longer definitely built well just a bit of coolant issues with BMWs and oil leaks some electrical problems, depending on age. Mercedes-Benz are usually built well pre-direct injection but those engines are built pretty good too all depends some timing chain problems with the gears depending on year.
Chevys are good cars if you take care of them
Toyotas are good if you take care of them
I own a GMC Sierra with 150,000 miles original transmission 4.8 V8 original motor original timing chain has rust but it’s because she gets used. I don’t baby that truck it’s literally a truck.
I own a Chevy Cruze 114,000 miles no problems yet just did spark plugs and one water pump. If you wanna call that a problem that’s fine I guess honestly, it’s just maintenance.
I also own a 2007 Toyota Prius I know funny right ? 225,000miles had to replace hybrid battery and now the motor is knocking because of a bad head gasket left coolant in the cylinders went to start at one morning, bent a rod.
My mother’s Toyota Avalon just so you guys know to whoever read this far has been through three water pumps. It’s just maintenance. Got the whole timing system done with brand new catalytic converters around. Stabilizer links, tires ball joints, bushings all that shit had to get replaced transmission fluid still. Red.
You just got to maintain your cars.
I know cars. There is a reason Chevy is still around and it’s not just because rental fleet’s are buying them. Normal people actually buy them too. when you look online and you look for reviews all you will ever get are negative, because the only people that are gonna want to take time out of their day to post anything are going to be people with enough intent to waste time to post it. But look around you. When you drive around count how many Chevys are out there and are not in a “junkyard.” You know? They’re not in a repair shop. They are moving and driving. Just let that sink in. To each their own if you like Toyotas, that’s fine if you like Honda’s that’s fine, I owned a 97 Honda Accord Lx with the five speed manual I loved that car, had to get rid of it just too small for my family l and the need for side airbags as well having a newborn daughter was really important. Would not mind going back to a Honda at all pretty cool little cars, big nowadays and faster but still really nice cars to drive.
Now to be honest to a Chevy, they’re always around and not because they’re always breaking. I’m living proof they are not always breaking. They are great cars too if you ever take time go to a Carmax or something sit in one you like it you truly would and if not, that’s OK. You are entitled to your own opinion. This is America after all or wherever you are from but let this be the first review that you read or thread or or whatever you wanna call it a comment right Chevys are good too. That’s why they’re still around.
Just take care of them . And the ones that have turbo those are Werner turbo’s they’re not cheap at all not built cheap. That’s some stuff. The wheel bearings are from Timkin as well. American made stuff just into these cars. They’re built pretty damn good. My Chevy Cruz was made the USA. a lot of Chevys still are check the VIN if it says made in USA, certified Car-fax maintenance records you are good.

Toyota makes the most bland looking cars out there. It is a company that just doesn't know how to make good looking cars.

It’s the same car since 2019 a Camry will destroy that thing it belongs at Avis budget only rental car companies should buy this vehicle because a Toyota will go infinity miles. Nothing may not even see a quarter million it’s time for Chevy to discontinue the Malibu
