This video comes right on time for me, because at the moment I am practicing a lot with tonal values studies to simplify and give depth! So it was a perfect exemple for me to look at, thanks!
This was such a great tutorial! It really helped me understand the values needed, when wet, and what they turn out to be when dry. I’ve really struggled with that! Thanks for all you share!
Well done Liron! Yes, you are spot on! I am number 1! We forget to give ourselves the appreciation and love we deserve, and I like you choice for 5-2 as well:)))!
Shalom, dear Liron! Once again a very big THANK, todah rabah, to you for sharing so much joyful inspiration (without transpiration :-)) and for always being so friendly and kind and showing so much new interesting skills and thoughts with good and valuable advice how to paint and what to understand and to build up in creating a beautiful watercolor painting! Wishing you all the blessings always! Many greetings from Sweden!
Happy to hear 😊🙏🏼 I do a lot of rural scenes too, but somehow always end up filming the cityscapes more often. I’ll try to soon sneak in another rural / natural landscape painting video!
I am looking forward to try this one, will use my own picture instead of repeating what you just did, feeling bold! Hace seen your videos before but this one really made me clic on the "Subscribe" option. Felicidades por tu canal
Liron, When I look at the image with the bus, you made the foreground darker and in shadow. When I looked at it, it looked lighter. Am I missing something? also, have you thought about having a patreon site? I would love to be able to support your channel!
Hello Liron, A crazy question, but I've been searching your videos for a painting of a salmon colored building at the edge of a bay with boats... you are looking down on this scene. It looks like an Italian scene(?) Do you know which video this painting is in? Thank you!
Thanks, L. This is a really important lesson for me. It is a good try that I hope you will show us again and again!!I still scream everytime you use really dark paint-----even though I know it will dry lighter!! ;o)
What a great helpful video just what I needed! 👍BUT may I request you to please write (speak) name of each color you used ( Plus the brand name of the color) so that beginners like me know how to crate those looks and shadows 🌞💫🙏🏼Thanks
İmpressionism, my absolute favorite movement, seems like it's supposed to be more of a practice style for students than a actual finished product. Anyhow, I'm a beginner and was trying to paint a big sagebrush last night. Oh, the horror! Almost no shadows, the leaves are a pale whitish-green which blends in with its surroundings; even the sky was so pale I couldn't separate hardly anything out except for the pale shadow under the bush. Everything else in the pic was just a big blob of white wash. Ugh... I was not successful. 😅
While I like most of your videos, I think you totally missed out on the French house. Which is built out of really yellow sandstone, which pops out and remains yellow no matter what weather or season and always contrasts and always seems bright and welcoming and the warm sun but you made it dark and gloomy and hellish, but I know it's something you always do and don't care about colours but instead you prefer values.. But I think on this one you got it wrong, and not in line with the country tradition and purpose or understanding the structure and Arquitechture Anyway keep it up!
You sir, are a resource to the whole watercolor community. Thank you for the great tutorial.
Thank you ☺️ Happy I can help
Fantastic demo, Liron. Simple big shapes to get depth. I have a penchant for adding lots of details and the results are often to flatten the drawing.
It amazes me what a difference adding a few shadows can make!!!
Yes! It's all contextual 😊🙏🏼
Thanks, another very useful video Liron.
Thanks Liron! I always enjoy the commentary too. Great teaching!

amazing how few drops of very dark values completely transforms the scene.
Indeed, it's all contextual! 😁
Nice tutorial. The powerlines really make such a difference.
Indeed (: Thank you!

More on the way, thank you 😊🙏🏼

I like that you did a more rural scene.

I use those Princeton Select for oil painting... was surprised to see you using them too but for watercolor instead. 😆
I love it! Really good for its spring (:
Very helpful!
Thank you, Liron. Great lesson as always! I'm sure many veterans, as well as newbies, will find this extremely helpful. :)

Loved this demo. By the way the second picture is from Kettlewell, Yorkshire, UK, not France.
Thank you for the correction 😁 Happy to hear you enjoyed this one!

Your second painting isn't in France, It's Kettlewell Village Store in the Yorkshire Dales in England.
