  • To create a believable space in a painting, you need to create depth. But how do we do that when we are painting on a flat piece of paper? I'm going to share with you 3 basic elements today.
    Check out my Watercolor Essential course where I go in-depth about how to achieve these elements:

    Nothing wrong with mixing art and science.. Two of my top three favorite things ! ( oh.. the other? .. Banana splits and/or brownies.. Two out of three ain't bad) ; ]
    I love how you explained the subject .. very informative and helpful ! Really a great video.. ** Side note.. Cannon Beach .. oh my word .. Heaven on Earth ! great place to illustrate your points.

    Eric, you read my mind. I was in Cannon Beach/Tolovanna the weekend before last and ever since I’ve been trying to paint Arcadia beach, which is one beach south of Cannon Beach. I have failed miserably twice, all the while I’ve been looking for a tutorial on how to paint misty beach scenes, couldn’t find any. Just sunny beaches! And here you are painting almost the exact same beach that I’m trying to paint. Unbelievable! It sounds like you were possibly even there the same weekend that we were, May 15th through 17th. I hope you liked it as much as my family does. We always stay at the Tolovanna Inn next to Mo’s. Thanks for the great tutorial, maybe with your great tutorial my 3rd attempt will be a keeper.

    Amazing explanations Eric!! I have a science mind so I liked it more than just the short facts 😃 I'm trying to use this in my illustrations and I think they are very important. Your painting looks amazing! I'm painting mostly fantasy art so I have to think about this depth in my mind before I put it on paper... But this kind of paintings are great for an inspiration. Thank you for sharing 💗🤗💗

    This is beautiful work. I paint with acrylics but I watch videos in watercolour and oil, too; specifically ones that deal with techniques and tips because they are universal (and/or adaptable) to all artwork. Thank you so much for your clear commentary and for sharing your knowledge and skill with others.

    Just amazing! It's watercolor at its best! Usually I watch your videos thinking I will try to paint the same pic, but then I don't like copying so I decide to find a similar photo and employ your techniques, but this one is too tempting so I'm gonna give it a try. 😀 between your vids and Young Chen's my painting is much improved. • @Cafewatercolor
      @Cafewatercolor  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @georgelewis2775 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I personally think if you can somewhat master watercolor , the other mediums will seem like a piece of cake . Watercolor I believe takes more control and know when to let water do alot of the work
