I am new to your chanel only a few days.I am in Devon in England I love to watch you paint and to watch you talk You are so calming and peaceful, I have learnt more from you than any other youtuber. Keep on making you videos they are excellent,I wish you everything good Val White
Thank you for bringing your computer graphics expertise to us to visualize horizon lines, vanishing points, and points of perspective! It makes it easier to understand.
Excellent Eric. I am going to use some of your ideas in my workshop. I teach watercolor at the Roswell Visual Arts Center in Roswell, GA. I love painting city scapes, and teaching about 1 pt perspective. Thankfully, you are loose. Love loose watercolor. Thank you, JillyWillyArt
Thank you ! Your videos are extremely helpful, especially for people who cannot afford a formal art class. I hope you get the revenue you deserve from your channel! 😊
I have to say, Eric you are such a good teacher, you are not too technical, you tell stories about the scenes and the editing of the videos, sounds and animations make your paintings fun and exiting, i've been painting for 20 yrs, but i can see now, i've been struggeling with mixing values, and no separate washes. Very interesting!
Eric you are very relatable and explain things in a manner in which a newbie to watercolor and drawing. I still have a lot to learn, but am very excited to learn for experts like yourself. I followed along, applying the principles your incorporated and ended up with a pretty good first time effort. Thanks again.
Thank you Eric. Your teaching about perspective is the best! And I love your painting. Not least of all because I was able to be there about a year ago now. It is not far from where I grew up long ago! Many memories your painting awakens.
beautiful lesson. Thanks for these explanations. I will listen to them several times to understand each word (because unfortunately my English is not very good)
Eric, I really like this lesson. I recently completed a painting in Andy Evansen’s course where I found (too late) that the perspective was off, particularly with a car on the street. A fellow classmate said it looked like my street was going uphill, and I saw it after the fact. You have really explained the concept well, especially the relative sizes of the car to a person. I also like the technique of drawing a box and pulling the box forward. I saved this video for future reference. Thanks, again.
I think I watched this a little while ago, but now that I’m going to actually tackle a painting, I’m back for a reminder of your instruction. Thanks Eric. Really helpful 🙏
Omg Eric I'm so happy you made this video and to know I'm not alone, I understand perspective and drawing in perspective, simple perspective I'm fine but when it gets complex it sucks the life out of my creativity and I totally feel like it's all Math I find finding my plum lines and connections really help me! Thank you my friend! Cheers from Canadaxo
Once again you hit the spot. I want to paint more than the landscapes I’ve been doing but buildings have eluded and scared me. Now I know why and how to fix it. You are a star 🌟, Eric. So clearly explained and demonstrated. Now for me to do and practice. You are helping me become a much better artist, thank you. You are much appreciated 🌟🌟
Thank you Eric! Love this painting so much! I do landscapes and portraits which I love but some day I want to paint buildings and street scenery but I have been afraid to try because of perspective. You made this so easy to understand and for that I am grateful!
Loved this tutorial, especially when you explained and created the black and white value study first. On the color painting, did my ears pick up "y.o.u. r [are] painting ...."? 🙂 Maybe I'm hearing things! Peace and Blessings from Texas USA 🌹
I have really struggled with perspective and tried to avoid it as much as I can in watercolor paintings, and this video has really helped me understand the basic elements and rules of perspectives. Thank you, this really helps me a lot.
Intuitive perspective is the number 1 skill that I'm after. I'm so happy that you made a video on this. I know the basics fairly well, but sometimes it comes down to hearing it from the right person to solidify what you know
Thank you so much for this instruction Eric. I've subscribed to yours and The Mind of Watercolor as my only real 'go to' channels for learning to paint in the medium.
You are such a wonderful instructor. Thank you so much, Eric! One thing that always confuses me about perspective is when I "think about where everything is in relation to me." Im not sure what you mean by that. Does it mean my view, eg, if Im looking up at or down on or directly at? Or if I placed myself in the painting?..ugh.. I just dont get that part. 😳😬🎨 could you help me understand?
Great tutorial! On an earlier tutorial you mentioned filling in white highlights. What did you use to get the bright white color? Very heavy white watercolor still usually bleads through.
Great Video! I am new to watercoloring, and I am wondering if anyone can tell me what type of pencil or graphite is most preferable to use for the sketching portion of the process? Or does it matter? Thanks : )

Amazing...
What is the the difference between horizontal line and eye level?
刚开始起稿就觉得他只是随便画画 但是越画越像现实的感觉 厉害👍🏻 光影和结构 抓大放小 细节不是那么重要
Thank you for your videos I'm improving as an artist for free
