sir, if a person has 10+ years of experience and he is joining into a new company, which is his 6th company and during the joining of his 6th company , how many companies' experience letters/relieving letters need to be shown/or disclosed to HR. should the employee display all experience/rellieving letters or only the last 2 , recent , companies' releievingand experience letters. please share on your thoughts, whats the practice , top tier companies adopt nowadays.

I worked for a start up from which I resigned in a couple of months due to toxic work culture and after completing my notice period when I asked for relieving and experience letter, they told me to show the gap of 2 months. All the more reason for direct , straightforward people to behave , learn to disagree with your peers and manager. Control the emotions . Overlook injustice to others ( anyway none of one's business ) . The professional world may get even more throttling to some but 1st thing should be " I get salary and there's nothing more important than ensuring it" .
Actually sir I've question i got 75% in 10th 2013 i did my 12th in 2015 got 58% only but because of low marks i reattempted and got 85% in 12th 2016 attempt but many companies dont consider less than 60% marks what should i do should i tell them about my new % only and tell them i took a break in 15 due to some fanily issues what should i do

Should we put all the gaps on the CV, lengthen the pages or inform the HR when they interview us and be honest.
I believe it is better to inform the HR of any gaps so that they are aware from the beginning, there is no point in going ahead with the process and if they come back later with any issue then all the efforts will be wasted.

sir, in bgv only the experienced mentioned in the CV is checked, right? Why I ask coz before joining this new company I was employed for 2 weeks by another company and I don t wish to mention it in my CV. I want to clarify I hv provided all genuine documents related to work and academics. The 2 week work exp which I m reluctant to show does not add to my total work exp.

i had worked for an Mnc for 1 year than i started preparing for upsc my last organisation had 2 year bond which i didnot signed so they did not give me exit and service letter i had mailed my last hr and they recognize my employment with them and confirm my last working day as well but can't find my final settlement i agree to clear all dues for service letter but they are not responding me what next step i can take, my last manager is still working in the same organisation and said to clear bg check if some one ask him, i had offer letter, salary slip and resignation and exit process mails with me.

Hello, if the dates and duration are not matching then this may be an observation that they may find and call out.
If the notice period is 2months in current organization does other companies wait for 2months if we get opportunity.

what u said is correct bro, but 90% are fake now. some companies not even checking whether they have graduation certificates or no, some are blindly hiring without BGV, some companies are hiring even they came to know that they are fake due to scarcity of resources. what i mean to say is ur content is good & appreciated but reality is different.
Hello Arun, Thank you for your comment. I am really not sure if any company is hiring without background check. Sounds interesting because this has only become more stringent over the years.

Hi KM Rayudu, You may try a new job with a reduced salary if you think that will reduce the pressure. But think before you do that because there is no guarantee that the pressure will just reduce at the new job because the salary is low. Also, DO NOT edit any salary slip or any other document. These things are verified in the background check/ employment verification.
I remembered a friend of mine was working in technology X (support project) but mentioned technology Y (dev project) in CV. He is currently working in a reputed MNC in technology Y and till date haven't faced any issue. At times as a fresher you may not get the kind of development work you want.. in those cases it is absolutely okay to lie in your CV regarding the technology aspect.
Yes Sandipan, as long as you are able to clear the interview and work as per expectations when you get selected. Also, at times there may be a reference check where the employer may call someone to check the type of work/ project, performance etc.

Hi Himanshu, You should provide an address where someone can respond to the enquiry. At times, they may confirm with neighbors etc. or give an address where you are currently staying.
Sir what about faking the kind of role of previous experience...like if a person has worked in testing role in a company and then have to switch to development role in another company...should that candidate mention on resume that he has testing experience ?
You mean writing something which you have not done. Correct? Well it depends on the individual because one has to clear several rounds of interviews and second even if the interviews are cleared one has to actually perform the job.

Hello Madhuri, you can say that you are trying to apply in govt and private sectors both as both sectors have job openings. For career gap you can give family reason or any other personal reason as well.

Yes Ajay, you may do that, 3 months is a very short time period. You may mention it as a break/ time off.
I don't think there is any issue. If you did not show it on your CV then there will be no background check or need for experience letter. They are hiring you as as a fresher. As far as existing UAN is concerned, I don't think they would bother about it.

Year 2019 to Year 2021 - Prepared for competitive exams/ Civil Services Preparation etc

I work for a very small start up, today is my last day, my boss is not willing to pay my last month salary and exit letter.
And he basically wants me to work a lot more even after serving the notice period.
He says on my last day that my handover is not thorough and there are lots of pending tasks of mine, and that unless I am willing to give him a thorough handover and complete pending tasks to his SATISFACTION, he won't consider releasing payment or exit/experience letter. it's 3.5 years of experience. I have a total of 5 years experience and my next employers don't need the letter
I don't want to go through the harassment. Want to cut my losses and move on.
How important would my exit letter be, this would be 3 years and 6 months of experience.?

Experience letter is important, we don't know when it will become more important even if you went for studies. If the employer refuses to give even after 2 months file a police complaint. This will work.

Hello There, I have not experienced such a scenario earlier. In my view, if you have not shown it on your Resume and you still got hired without that experience so it should not matter much for them. Isn't it?

Bro I have backlog on 6th sem.wipro has asked background verification for 6 semisters and other dicuments. Whether should I upload 6 semesters documents ,or should I upload 5 semister documents and tell them the results of 6th sem not came.then will they disqualify me or will.they give us time for uploading 6th sem.please help me what to do.
Hello Nikhilesh, if they have asked for 6 semesters then they will expect for 6 semesters. Saying results have not been declared may not work because they would know that from the college/ university.

Ok, so you may try to skip the 6th semester details but the risk is still there. Different companies have different ways of collecting documents and wait period etc. Do you have any other choice than taking this calculated risk?

Hi Santosh, if you have not shown company A on Resume then they may not bother about it. However, some companies may run a UAN check to see in what all companies have you worked earlier. This may or may not be done by HR.

I have a peculiar situation. I joined a company for a period of 3 months during the pandemic. I was kept in bench and then asked to leave. They gave an email mentioning my last working day, and a full and final settlement letter. Since I did not work in any project, they did not provide any exp / release letter.
Now i am showing that period as gap. But my uan shows the company name in the service history.
Will they verify or question, the period i have shown as gap. What should I do ?

Hi Manish, this is really a peculiar scenario. Ideally they should have given a relieving letter. I think if you have some form of documentation then you should mention these 3 months on your Resume and clearly state that you were on bench.

Hello Abhinav, Bhai aapka case thoda complex lag raha hai. In my view TCS might maintain the history of applicants. But since it is more than two years old (since 2019) we can just hope that they don't refer to the old BV check. Since you have already cleared the rounds let's hope for the best.

Hi Abhinav, they will do a fresh BV check. Won't rely on BV check done by some other company in the past.

Hello Piyush, The HR will ask you for these documents at the time of joining. This is mandatory process.

Different companies have different policies with respect to the gap in which they allow candidates to reapply. I don't think it has anything to do with background check if you have already received the offer letter.

Si, I'm B.E final year student I cleared my interview and exam I got loi from the company I completed my 10th in 2013 the I did 11th and after 11th I had a 2 year's gap and then I did Diploma 2016 to 2019.
So my gap occurs any problem in background verification does company allow 2 year gap

Ok, I think these gaps are mostly checked by the recruiter or HR as part of hiring process and not by the background check team.

Generally they will ask you to give a reference of your previous manager and they might call them and check on your role and performance.

Hi Satish, We can find out the gap by looking at the year of admission and completion. Can you please share the year wise breakup of which year you took a drop, which year you joined and completed diploma etc?

Hi sir, unfortunately my background check came as negative. They says that one of my previous organisation(from Dubai) gave them negative feedback about my conduct while I was working at that company and they also said that there is a legal case in the Dubai court against me but I am not aware of these.. how I can defend against them? Currently I am in India. Please help me in how to proceed with.
Hi Ebin, Sorry to hear that, I believe the best way forward is to find out more about the case and talk to the concerned party outside court and settle it(if possible) or may be contest against it. In summary, not knowing about the case is not a good situation to be in.
Also, how many years of experience did you have at this company which gave negative feedback? If it is few months you may remove that experience from your profile while applying for future jobs in India.

Hello sir , i have done my engineering 2016 to 2022 i was failed in btech 2nd year detained one year but continued to write exams ,so I have taken 1 year break due to covid now I took one more year now i have Wipro offer letter what should I do ? Do they reject me ? actually course completion is 2016-2020 one year loss due to health and one year due to covid
If tcs know u are absconded from your old company then they will terminate you i have work into 5 company out of that 1 have absconded
I have joined tcs i did not show my abscond experience will it be an issue
Hi . I passed out on 2013 but I had backlogs and I cleared the baccklogs in next semester so it took 6 months of gaps for me. After that I done 8 months certification.. In 2015 I joined an IT company and in 2019 I switched to another MNC and I'm still working there . Now I got an offer from another big MNC but in there they are asking reason for the gap between from year 2103 to 2015. So can I tell honestly that I had backlogs while coming out from colg and I took 6 months to clear and done certification. Will they accept it.. I have proper 6 years of experience.. Kindly pour suggestion

@@CareerTalk for this current job I just mentioned done certification for 1 year and they didt asked about rest of the year gap. But the job which I got offer now they are asking reason for 2 year gap.
Ok, I mean regarding the offer you got. You must stick to whatever you told on you Resume. 9 out of 10 times honesty is the best policy but then check if they have any criteria with respect to education/gaps etc.

hi, I have a question, it is regarding background check.
right now tcs is hiring students. one of my friend who is 2018 passout has applied to it.
but when he had applied , tcs had shown it is for 2019,20,21,22 passouts only. so he applied as 2019 passout though he was 2018 passout. now he has received offer letter and also joining letter. he has sent his documents for background verification. will he be rejected bcoz he is 2018 passout , as while he filled application form was for only 2019,20,21,22 . please answer this ??????????????

Hello Ashish, with three years gap, you will need to reboot your career. You nay need to join some course and learn some new skills along with certification. Try to find some institute where they can provide placement assistance.
Well to be honest , no body absolutely nobody even call you for the interview if you do have gap after education. It doesn't matter how honest you are. But still you never get any calls. May be I sound harsh but its bitter truth .
Hello Kanun Swain, One needs to make efforts to get back to job after a break. May be a refresher course or joining some advanced program with placement assistance may help
@@CareerTalk sorry sir. Even you have plenty of skills in latest technology , at the end of the day it matters how many interview calls you are getting. Only after then you can show your efforts to crack it. Without Interview calls you can not even attend any interview. Forget about cracking that.
@@kanunswain5418 i lost my contract due to covid last year . My experience is 20+ years and my technology is going down fast to other upcoming products . Since march 2020 , have given 2 interviews without any success . India's iT System is very sensitive to over experienced people , much more than people with no or relatively lesser experience.

@@NANDANKAUSHIK yes I can understand the situation you are going through. Actually most of the companies may not afford a 20 plus year experienced candidate and also we must stay updated with cutting edge technologies. Now in IT market there is demand for 2-3 year experienced candidates .
