As a Floridian I can confirm this my neighbor did a prank where he rode an alligator at people when they passed by like when walking their dogs he went to jail for animal cruelty the other charges were dropped on a plea deal he was also evicted
I'm convinced it was Lizzie. That has to do with the number of wounds the stepmother sustained. Stabbing someone repeatedly is hard enough, but to do it using a heavy axe is means that the unsub had both the will and the rage to kill the stepmother. Especially when you consider that the stepmother was hacked 17 times with what appeared to be excessive force. Most criminal profiler's would classify that as overkill or the unsub was prone to psychotic outburst. Lizzie does fit that profile. The fact that she didn't kill again suggested me that she was a lot smarter than one would expect. Instead of taking her rage out on surrogates; she took it out of the source. Once the source of her rage was removed; she had no reason to kill again.
Because Lincoln was never actually murdered. He was attempting to live quietly in Massachusetts but Mr Borden found out and threatened to out him. So the REAL murderer of the Bordens was Abraham Lincoln himself! All that time he spent in his youth splitting rails with an axe really paid off here. As is usually the case in this world...the truth was found in TH-cam comments.

One question is how accurate was the time of death? I think with inconsistent methods that was used then, there could be varying times and thus alibis have to disregarded.
