Best tyre review ever, saw this the night before I was to get michelins, which I had previously used and did not have great confidence with, fitted continental tkc 70 because of this review and love them. Roads in Scotland are potholed and broken now, ideal tyre for real world.

I am with you. In my young days I never wore out the center line. I have been using TKC 70's for 5 years on a 1200 GSA and never was in a jam. 250,000 kilometers all over the world fully loaded (200+ lbs). Great and fair review. I must admit I will put the new Dunlop Trailmax Mission next month! A couple friends have tried them and they swear by it! They also are in my age range. Great and very fair review. Cheers

I really really really need your feedback, because I'm right between those two tyres !!
I need a street tyre that will not tear apart when I'll try to go on the trail to the beach (i live in Greece) on those sharp rocks !
So o guess both of them will do the job but which one of them
      1) has more/better grip on gravel ?
      2) longer life ?
      3) better agility between cars in the city ?
      Thank you 🙏🏾

@@kouvanos Hello Theo, now that I have tried the Dunlop Trailmax Mission I must admit that they feel better off road than the TKC70! This is only my personal opinion with my GSA. I did lots of the Colorado passes and no problems! I know the Greek roads fairly well but I don't know how hard you ride!! I think that you would be happier with the Dunlop! I am on my way to Patmos in 2 weeks. Kalimera 😀

      Hahaaaaaa...
I'm 41 and this is my first bike (voge ds500) and this summer I'll be a tourist to our islands with my spearfishing gear !
Patmos is very nice destination ✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾

Just came from the tyre shop.
They told me that the trailmax Mission doesn't have dimensions for my bike.
So i guess I'll go for the Continental ✌🏾

@@kouvanos I heard off the Voge motorcycle but I have never seen one. The reviews are good. Since it's your first bike the TKC will work fine. Then as you get used to the bike and riding on different terrains you will be able to decide what's best for your style of riding. Plus during the summer you won't have too much mud in Greece which makes a huge difference on your choice of tires. Have fun riding, enjoy the spearfishing in these beautiful waters. And keep the shiny side up! Cheers

im from New England and am very familiar with your examples of myles and loudon, i have been racking my brain between these tires and the michelins for my xt1200 yamaha, i think you helped me solidify on picking these tires THANKS ALOT. side note i noticed most people in europe using michelins and most in USA using tck's.

I have worn the MotoZ tractionator GPS for 9000 miles and it’s noisy, unstable, and does not give me much confidence in grip. Changed to the TKC70s and is a new bike.

I’ve been using the Continental Trail Attack 2 for the last 12,000 miles on my Africa Twin and I swear, they are the best touring tire I’ve ever had. I used them in single digit temps and pouring rain. Best rain tire I’ve ever had. Unfortunately I jammed a bone into a groove on the tire. With 20% left on the tread it isn’t worth the repair costs. I just ordered a set of TKC 70s because I’ve been exploring a lot more dirt/fire roads and I want something that will handle it a little more than the TA2’s. Great video!

Just got a pair of TKC70's for my Xt660z Tenere 2010, I'll let you know in a few thousand miles how they perform in Ireland in winter. Thanks for the video!

I love your NO BS videos esp. as a new / old ADV rider (I'm 62 yo & last rode off-road on YZ125 yammies in my early 20's!); I just put the TKC 70 Rocks rear and TKC 70 front on my Triumph Tiger 900 GT (19" front wheel). So far, I can say the TKC 70s are awesome on the blacktop. Just wondering how your TKC70s pulled up a year or 2 after this video was put out; whether you'd put them on again; and, whether you ended up using your handy tool to regroove the treads?

Your attack on the Anakee Adventure is unfair at best. I have ridden that tire on four different bikes in nearly every type of terrain imaginable, even snow. th-cam.com/video/rS3JDz3j3nI/w-d-xo.html It is a great tire AS IS THE TKC70... of which I have run run on three of my personal bikes since they were released. Having not ever ridden a certain tire, it is unfair to slander it as such... Just saying. The rest of the experiences you had on the TKC70 I do agree with. It is a great tire for our big adventure bikes.

Very impressed with your video, experience and true to fact. I also ride a little over 45 years, and I tried them all.
I am in the market for new tires, roads similar to your video, and I am between the TKC70 and MOTOZ Tractionator GPS, I never had either of them. Do you have any saying on the MOTOZ GPS?
Thanks a lot, really appreciated it.

I see some time have passed now. But, are these tyres noisy at touring, like going at 120kph. Thanks.

I haven't researched it nor tested it yet if it's the multi compound it's probably a damn good tire where they use the heat treating process to change the hardness of the rubber

How do they compare to Dunlop missions? I hear the missions are great, but very heavy!? Tkc70 have a puncture call out recovery service, it's free, so they must trust the tyre in all situations!?

I’ve been using Mitas E07s on my 1200GS for years as I travel to the Arctic frequently. I just bought TKC 70 Rocks for a scrambler project (Royal Enfield Interceptor 650) and I’m impressed. I’ll try them on the GS when the time comes but I’ll probably use the standard TKC 70.
