    Introducing the updated Kia Ceed!
The Kia Ceed is a cheaper alternative to family-friendly, popular hatchbacks such as the Volkswagen Golf. The question is, with the price only slightly less than the all-conquering VW, should you go for the Kia instead?
Well, let’s check out the latest upgrades! When it comes to the design, there are a number of changes, including honeycomb tail lights, new alloy wheel designs, and an all-new front-end!
When it comes to the interior, you’ll find a load of soft-touch, good-quality materials throughout the majority of the cabin. Otherwise, the dashboard design is reasonably similar to the old edition, but that’s not exactly a bad thing!
    Under the bonnet, there’s a choice of three different engines. The entry-level is a 1-litre petrol with 120hp, along with a 1.5-litre petrol with 160hp. There’s also a 1.6-litre diesel with 136hp.
So what do you think - should you choose the Kia Ceed over competitors like the Golf? Stick with Mat to see for yourself!

Car speakers are often mentioned in car reviews, I specially remember Matt talking about the Bose sound system in the Mazda 3 so it’s hardly the first time.
Personally I would prefer to have a good sound system but for the common person that isn’t an audiophile they will barely tell the difference.

    • @imdaweed9781

Yeah maybe it got mentioned on a side note sometimes, but its not something they talk about everytime, although its a pretty relevant thing to talk about when you choose a car, and since they review NEW cars and not used ones, i think its worth mentioning how the audio is. Everybody likes good sound, you dont have to be audiophile to notice the difference between a good and bad soundsystem when you hear it.

Such a different approach to the Germans. My Hyundai i30N is the same. Sophisticated and complex where it needs to be, but the engineers haven’t gone around it looking for ways to add complexity for the sake of it like the Germans are doing with all of their cars now. No silly oil quality sensors and algorithm driven extended service intervals that cause German cars to lunch their timing chains at low mileages. Sensible, fixed time and distance intervals instead. No unreliable, inconsistent electronic oil level read outs, but a proper dipstick. No forcing of useful controls behind a bug ridden infotainment system that doesn’t work properly (new Golf for example), but proper switch gear and the touchscreen relegated to nonessential stuff. Attractive, clear instruments, but analog. And guess what? I had it for 18 months, driven it really hard, and it’s just had a service and nothing else. No silly niggly faults, no bugs, no mechanical issues whatsoever. It’s a quick, capable, efficient modern car. But it isn’t overly complicated, and it’s been engineered properly. You can even change the air filter, oil filter and pollen filter without any tools.

People every time amazed how nice the exterior and the interior is for a brand like Kia. I would not trade it for any VW or Seat in the same price range. Of course Mercedes and Audi has better interior but also with double the price tag. Cost vs Quality I so recommend Kia or Hyundai.

With fuel prices skyrocketing, i think a best mpg car review would be good.

    • @mrtnknrr
      @mrtnknrr ปีที่แล้ว

While mpg is important, you should forget to include taxes, insurances, relatability, maintenance costs etc.
In the end the results will be so much different per person (for example depending on how much someone drives, what kind of roads someone drives and on the driving style of the person) that there cannot be one winner on which is cheapest to drive.
Even for mpg, a small 1.0L will have a low mpg on paper, because the numbers on paper er are measured at a speed of 90km/h, while if you drive 130km/h a bigger engine (like a 1.6L) will often burn less petrol because of the lower RPM.
Jeremy Clarkson once tested a Prius vs. an M3 on fuel consumption on their race track. The Prius had to drive as fast as the car could around the track and the M3 had to follow it in exactly the same speed. The M3 burned less petrol, because the Prius was pushing it’s engine to the max, while for the strong M3 engines this was just a calm easy drive and not pushing it.

Yep. I can confirm the engine is quite low on dynamics. I've had a Kia Rio 1.2 automatic 2017 and when you try pull out from a stationary position especially in a ring road where you need a bit more power you could end up hit by a train...it is dramatically slow.
Where more lower ranked and heavy makes like the Dacia dokker doesn't have this issue....
