Top class fishing, top class friends and a wonderful film. No swearing, endless explosions, or meaningless smut, just a bunch of well mannered, kind, funny young men, enjoying nature and their own company. Great job Carl and what a terrific bunch of friends you've developed.
Exactly, well said mate. No drunk middle aged fat foul mouthed "Expert" anglers fishing muddy puddles for named fish who have had more photos than Marilyn Monroe.
This film is head and shoulders far better than anything put out by the marketing obsessed carp companies. They can't hold a candle to you with their sterile boring over stocked muddy puddle nonsense. You guys still keep the true essence of angling alive in your films. Location, simple baits, simple rigs, watercraft, wild fish, adventure, struggle, achievement. A wild 40 is beyond incredible. Korda needs to recognise your american friends as key to what you've achieved here Carl. They should be employed to spread the Carp fishing message in the US. I've stopped watching the other commercial brands films because they're all the same. Your films have soul and passion. Thanks for doing it.
In addition to the well-deserved compliments you get on your filming and editing, I hope you know how much your viewers appreciate what a genuinely kind person you clearly are. You, Gary Cahill Jr., Omi, Alex, and ALL the people you film with clearly aren't acting for the camera. Proper good and humble folks, the lot of ya. Absolutely brilliant Carl. And hats off to Austin for his perseverance and determination to become part of it. What awesome wild fish they were too. Life long buddies I hope now too.😊

I'm always blown away when contemplating the time and effort that must go into bringing us these brilliant videos. It's so refreshing and reassuring to know that people like you, Carl, are setting such a good example to the thousands of young anglers who look up to you and, I'm sure, follow your lead. Congratulations on your first American 40 pounder too.👍🏻🍻
The American films are just a cut above anything else. Well done guys, epic! There's nothing else like this out there on other channel's. I think that it seems so unimaginable for most anglers to get out there and fish the states that make these videos so appealing. The Country and the waters are so vast and untapped that we wouldn't know where to start. Incredible and immaculate fish. Keep up the awesome work!
Quite simply, an awesome video of an epic adventure with great friends. Massive congrats on landing the big forty Carl, that alone is worth the hypothermic bones and waterlogged wellies.
Another fab vid!! Your content is great! Me, my 8yr old and the father in law make a thing of it now sitting down on a weekend binge watching your channels, great role models for young kids 😊🎣🙌👏👏
Thanks Mike!! So lovely to hear this. It means a lot to share this hobby and inspire young people to get out into nature and enjoy simple time outside.

I have learned so much from watching your videos that I could not have learned on my own. All of this has lead me to catching my first 30 and I hope to get a 40 sometime soon. Again, amazing video and I can’t wait for the next one.
For a "smaller" channel, the quality of your videos blows me away. The honesty of the journey is so refreshing, too. Fab stuff and captures perfectly what angling is all about.

Fly fishing for carp in Utah is my favorite. The inlet to the great salt lake, a bird sanctuary, holds so many monsters. Its always fun to see you across the pond in the states brother. Its gorgeous control you explore.
I absolutely love watching your videos, I find that they are helping me so much in myself and helped me to start fishing again after a long time away. I've had a really bad time with depression and anxiety for many years now but now at 30 years old Ive found your channel and started watching your videos a few weeks ago and it has helped motivate me to get out of the house and outside starting to enjoy my life again. Great work - brilliant video, a great continuation of the story with the guys in the US, and the smile on Cal’s face with his PB made it a great watch.
We have 30s and 40s in the waters of South Carolina!!! We have commons, mirrors and buffalo. The buffalo will get 40+ regularly but I don't catch them as often as what we call yellows. I love catching wild carp!!!!!

I never leave comments on videos but this one feels rude not to. literally magical. you're doing amazingly carl you're living every anglers dream!
Great video. I have been fishing carp in the US since I was a kid and I am starting to finally see some interest developing. Big and hard fighting they have lots of pluses for sure. One time in Downtown Minneapolis on the Mississippi I saw the sun hitting the river and I could see maybe a thousand carp. I have often thought an English carp angler would have thought they were in heaven. I caught maybe 50 fish that day, and had to stop because my wrist hurt so badly. So glad people from England come here to fish and appreciate the carp. But more catfish respect please! 🙂
Carl, lovely video. For other viewers, a US forty is a very special fish, most of us have never caught or even seen one. Pleased to see you guys had such a great prespawn session. Weather was fun, it seemed.😊 A s your excellent guides said, bait and they will (eventually) come…..👏👏👏👏
What a film! You have outdone yourself with this one! Absolutely amazing! Absolutely Loved the shots of the night sky with all the stars! Stunning fish also! Can’t imagine how you felt catching it after chasing it for 7 years! Thanks again for the amazing work!
I'd love to see you go back and catch a giant sturgeon the way that one your friend hooked ran was crazy, been on a watching binge since watching that yesterday
years ago i fished for carp north of Detroit, Michigan using corn and bread balls. with all the other species of fish to target i have not returned to carp not sure i could endure that 7 day camping trip but maybe i'll give carp another go. crazy good video as always thanks so much for all the work y'all put into these videos i know at times it's a very thankless job and insanely time consuming from trying to do it myself.
Another incredible watch. These videos just go from strength to strength. You can see the differnce everytime. I think DF needs to give you your own show too. Keep up the fantastic work team Carl 👏 💪
Just superb. Your film making skills are just getting better and better Carl. What a team you and Cal are, what fantastic friendships and what a lovely way to share it with us all. You have a very bright future my friend, aim high.
Absolute joy to watch. Proper angling with a great bunch of people. Outstanding carp caught on those sessions. Those cold harsh nights made up for it in the end. Maybe that heavy baiting did the trick haha. I look forward to your future journeys with friends. Keep up the great work.
Cool shots of that misty 4am catch! Good choice of music too. Taking some catharsis in watching this video as I went fishing yesterday and blanked when the guy in the swim next to me pulled out two 20lb+ carp
Well done mate. Awesome video and some beautiful fish. Really felt it with you when you had that 40+. So happy for ya mate. I'll probably watch this one a few more times before the next one!!
Awesome video as always, hope to see another trip there again soon. Triple the bait and do it first second and third day. You can't over feed so many fish in such a big water. 👏 hats of to your friends putting you on the fish.
Nice fish! just some advice for when you get snagged with a fish on, what you usually want to do is actually let the line go slack so the fish can unsnag itself.
Your Videos kept me excited for the start of carp season, and today in sunny weather i caught a beautiful 55cm Common with my ultralight Setup. Thanks for your videos, i always enjoy watching them😊👍
Enjoy your videos Carl, especially the US ones as originally I'm from the UK and now live out here in the States. Your next challenge should be a river 40lb from over here, check out the St Lawrence and surrounding areas.
@Fish With Carl that's what I thought. Ireland is just 40min flight away :) we can even do 2-3day trip and all you need to do is to get into the plane :) have a good day!
Absolutely incredibile experience...Great 🏆over 40 kg. I fallow you boys from the 2020 I Allways amazed by the quality of filming and location, friendship and experience,an many more than with this chanal it makes the fishing experience going to higher levels. Thank you Carl and Alex
Loved this to see how far you and your brother even though he wasn't on the trip this time to see how well you have both done in life.. but I seem to be part of you both watching you both grow up from two little boys fishing some years back now and watching you both growing up into adults.. even though I don't know either of you but I will say it might sound daft to say but I'm so proud of you both for doing so well in life 👏👍
Great trip...great vid...i know I've said it before..we fished up in Georgian Bay on lake Huron...back in '87 on our honey moon...hooking monsters on french fries ...the best was 26 lb /34 inches...bigger ones got away...swimming around the ships i saw carp i describe as big as me... absolute monsters...it might be worth an inquiry....a long time ago...but you never forget fish that big...on that big water those fish were making unbelievable long runs...
I got goosebumps as that ended! So cool! well done Carl. I need a mission like this once I recover from my broken back. Not all fishing trips are good ones haha

Weather was fun, it seemed.😊
A s your excellent guides said, bait and they will (eventually) come…..👏👏👏👏
Veramente bello bello bello !!! Complimenti! Visto tutti gli video filmati in USA ... like waching a movie at cinema !!! Congratulation Carl!!!
Grazie mille!! :)
Beautiful video ! Those fish looked so healthy, very solid, but not overly fat - congrats on your 40 plus American carp 👍
Yess so healthy! Cheers Nick! :)
Outstanding, as ever. Not only the angling, but the general cinematography makes you feel like you're there. Kudos sir!
Thanks so much :)
Never, ever doubt your ability to bring us all superb, top quality, yes & even sensational footage Carl - inspirational to the highest degree...!!!
Thank you Gary!! :)
Thank you! :)
Dono why but so many could learn from Carl how to do a vid. The way you tell stories
Just superb. Your film making skills are just getting better and better Carl. What a team you and Cal are, what fantastic friendships and what a lovely way to share it with us all. You have a very bright future my friend, aim high.
❤ Thank you, that's kind.
Absolute joy to watch. Proper angling with a great bunch of people. Outstanding carp caught on those sessions. Those cold harsh nights made up for it in the end. Maybe that heavy baiting did the trick haha. I look forward to your future journeys with friends. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Jake!!
Cool shots of that misty 4am catch! Good choice of music too.
Taking some catharsis in watching this video as I went fishing yesterday and blanked when the guy in the swim next to me pulled out two 20lb+ carp
Cheers Adam! Oh noo, that's always painful!
When passion, angling and friendship becomes one!! What a video well done all involved
Yessss ❤ Thank you mate :)
There’s honestly no other channel producing videos of this quality. Thank you for sharing 👏
❤ Thanks so much Miguel :)
This was a superb watch Carl, thank you for your time and effort.
Thank you! You're welcome, happy you enjoyed it :)
Your Videos kept me excited for the start of carp season, and today in sunny weather i caught a beautiful 55cm Common with my ultralight Setup. Thanks for your videos, i always enjoy watching them😊👍
Well done!! ❤
Enjoy your videos Carl, especially the US ones as originally I'm from the UK and now live out here in the States. Your next challenge should be a river 40lb from over here, check out the St Lawrence and surrounding areas.
Made up for you, very well done! Great session with great people and your first US 40, doesn't get much better than that
It doesn't :) Thank you! 👍
As an avid pike angler, I need to say that I love watching your productions and storytelling. Great work.
Thank you mate! :)
@Fish With Carl I've sent you multiple messages over the years with no reply :p do you fancy big pike trip to Ireland?
Sorry! I never manage to see all the messages. I'm pretty booked up atm, but maybe one day!
@Fish With Carl that's what I thought. Ireland is just 40min flight away :) we can even do 2-3day trip and all you need to do is to get into the plane :) have a good day!
congratulations Carl! your patience and perseverance has paid off!
Thank you mate :)
@@fishwithcarl just picked up a hat and beanie to celebrate! keep up the good work
Ahhh that's lovely of you, thank you mate!
according to the coordinates at 9:40, this is Oclease lake in Witney, England... Great video so far, the production quality has been so good recently!
Beautiful scenery, misty♡♡♡
Great video carl, you need to have a word with df and get the boys to gigantica.
Absolutely incredibile experience...Great 🏆over 40 kg.
I fallow you boys from the 2020 I Allways amazed by the quality of filming and location, friendship and experience,an many more than with this chanal it makes the fishing experience going to higher levels.
Thank you Carl and Alex
its 40 pound not kg
This is awesome stuff. Beautiful 40+ common . Thank you for sharing.
what a fishing sesion mate... i'm happy for your 41.5lb, what a fish
Loved this to see how far you and your brother even though he wasn't on the trip this time to see how well you have both done in life.. but I seem to be part of you both watching you both grow up from two little boys fishing some years back now and watching you both growing up into adults.. even though I don't know either of you but I will say it might sound daft to say but I'm so proud of you both for doing so well in life 👏👍
That's kind, thanks so much Paul ❤
Another epic trip, and another epic presentation. Congrats to you both on the new PBs! Here's to 7 more years of US fishing trips!
Thank you! ❤
The guys show you some great fishing to represent the 🇺🇸 that’s for sure. Keep coming back bro! Next the small mouth buffalo!!
Fishing with great company, in a beautiful setting is more important than catching large fish, so its all the more incredible when you can do both
I agree :) !! Cheers!
This one gave me chills brotha , glad you all got on some amazing specimen size carp 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I got goosebumps as that ended! So cool! well done Carl. I need a mission like this once I recover from my broken back. Not all fishing trips are good ones haha
❤❤❤ Hope you feel better soon
@@fishwithcarl Thanks. Getting there! 12:40 in on this video if you want to see the silly slip that broke my back in 3 places. th-cam.com/video/kGd8eUjbT9g/w-d-xo.html
Ohhh mate, felt that through the screen. Mad how a little slip can take you out like that.
@@fishwithcarl Crazy huh. It is what it is now though. Very lucky it wasn't worse. Just means lazy sessions for a while
Exactly :) Just got to keep on
Honestly Carl you've really smashed it and I think in years to come people will look back at your angling career as one of the greats up there with John Wilson and the like 👍
❤ That's kind. Thank you mate.
Man your videos are the best, you are the one who brought me into the carpfishing world
Ahh that makes me happy to hear :) glad you enjoy the films, cheers Eric!!
I'm in Colorado in the US and I can tell you we have an extremely underrated carp fishery throughout this entire state. If you ever want to come out here message me! Been following you guys for years!
Thank you that's kind!! Ahh that's cool to hear :) Glad you enjoy the channel!
The smile on my face when the needle went beyond 40 was immense!!! Congratulations, Carl.
Ahhh happy to hear that! Cheers! ❤
