      You think fishing with six rods in one swim is skillful ❓
      Shame on you 😡
      It’s not angling to me

    • @kaoticmachine
      @kaoticmachine 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@andrewperry8268 I guess your idea of skill is swimming and catching by hand then as rods would be cheating....

    • @Xand5223
      @Xand5223 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@andrewperry8268 what would you define 'skillful fishing' then? Having 6 rods in the water doesn't mean a thing. It's how you pick your bait, set up your rod, bait up, bait your swims, how you cast them, how you play the fish, how you land the fish... Rod numbers mean absolutely nothing. As does your opinion... Hence the reason these lads with their 6 rods are now world famous professional anglers and you're just a miserable old man that sits on a canal with your pole, huffing and puffing every time a cyclist wants to get past. Get in the bin, shithouse!

    • @andrewperry8268
      @andrewperry8268 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alexander Moss six rods in the water means six different baits in six different positions. This means you don’t have a clue where the fish are ...........so you narrow your odds by fishing randomly like these guys did .
      Skillful angling is knowing your quarry ,it feeding habits ,it’s whereabouts and using one ( or possibly two ) rods to catch .
      I understand that it’s hard to catch fish to order and that these guys are under pressure to catch on camera but I feel they are taking it to far.
      What would have happened if Three fish decided to bite at the same time ❓

    Back at the end of the 1960's, early 1970's, Hall &Co./ Ready Mix Concrete (all part of one conglomerate) opened up all its gravel pits for fishing. Wraysbury, Yateley and Darenth were the famous ones, but you also got, Send, Burghfield, Frimley and a whole bunch of pits, the names of which I have forgotten. Membership came with a book with all the pits described and mapped and the cost was £40 a season - which was a lot back then. Most of my great memories come from that era. The barge was painted in those days and had the RMC diamond logo on the side of the cabin. By the mid 70's RMC made Wraysbury, Yateley and Darenth each a single ticket, but for four or five years it was simply fabulous.

    • @laurieharper1526
      @laurieharper1526 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I remember those days. The Coverall permit gave you access to every RMC fishery. Amazing value. I bought the ticket for the pike and barbel fishing - there were some nice stretches of the Ouse in Bedfordshire as well as the lakes.

    Amazing lake with amazing amounts of big fish. THose carp look different from normal ones. These are dark velvety in colour/ Cheers from Ukrainian/Australian fisherman.

    I recently caught my first ever carp while feeder fishing. I really want to catch more, but with feeder fishing I almost always catch lots of smaller fish. Can you please do a rig and food video for basic carp fishing? Btw I love your channel!

    We have them here in the Great Lakes. They were brought over from Europe and released in the 1800s. I live just north of Detroit. The best way to catch them is to buy a loaf of day old bread and chum where you want to fish. They'll come right up into the shallows. You literally squeeze a wad of bread over a hook and drop it in front of the fish you want. They'll inhale it and you've got a fight on your hands.

      Smash it’s head with a rock to kill it and throw it back in for other fish to eat maybe? A bit cruel letting them suffocate for nothing to eat it

    • @austing5951
      @austing5951 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@am0804 Where I live it's a requirement to smack them on the head and NOT throw them back as they're such destructive pests.
