    Love the subtle touches you've made to your ITS. I'm glad you went with gloss black for the roof. It looks great. Most people go with a matte finish and it doesn't look as natural on the car. I never thought about wrapping the door handles, but that looks great too! Keep it up J.

      When I get my Type S, I plan on getting the roof wrapped also. I've been told that you can only keep wrap on paint for a certain amount of time. I was told 3 years. Like you, mine will, spend alot of time in the garage. But I do plan on road trips. Have you heard the same thing? If so, how long before you replace it? The wrap on the roof looks better than I imagined.

    Jonathon, many congratulations to you and your team! Thank you to all of you who made this awesome car a reality.
    I have the same interior/exterior/wheel color combination as you, and I also use the same individual settings. Every mile of the 6,000 miles I've already driven my ITS has been nothing but a joy. It's my daily driver and only vehicle. As a Honda fanboy, I always felt special in my previous car, a 9th gen Civic Si sedan, but this car (my first brand new car and first Acura purchase) takes everything to the next level. From the performance, practicality, sound system, styling, and beyond, it's simply a fantastic package.
    To be honest, I personally wish the car had a few things from the factory, or at least as an option, in this order of preference:
    1. Sunroof
    2. Middle rear seat (I actually purchased A-Spec rear seat parts to make this happen)
    3. Power adjustable front passenger seat (to match driver seat)
    For being the top-of-the-line Type S trim, I wish that certain A-Spec features were not removed. This way, it can also distinguish itself even more from the CTR.
    Performance-wise, the only thing I wish for is an easier way to toggle rev-matching on/off, perhaps enabling the driver to program it into one of the drive modes. Other than that, the handling, braking, power, exhaust sound, and everything else performance-wise is fantastic!
    At the end of the day, I purchased this car for its performance, and I love it! I agree 100% with all of the abundant positive comments from fellow ITS owners. I derive immense joy from driving this car every time I get in it, and I anticipate keeping it for as long as possible. Thank you for saving the manuals, for giving us a great daily-driveable performance vehicle, and for making an outstanding product despite the changing scene of the car industry.
    We're all looking forward to seeing more great videos on your channel!

      What an awesome comment and great feedback to! Thanks so much for watching. And of course congrats on the. ITS! Totally agree with your feedback, of course, no car is perfect. However, I think Acura did all that they could, especially given the market and segment. As you know, well, it really is more than a Numbers car! Been following your content wherever I can find it so I was surprised to stumble upon this channel. Keep up the good work!
    I've been in the market for a car for the past year or so. I had a 2002 RSX Type-S and I notice a lot of cues in the ITS from that car, down to the tonneau cover. I think the things I'd want the most are a 3rd A/C zone in the rear with USB-C chargers. I could probably do without the moonroof, though I would like it.
    I'm cross-shopping between this, the WRX, Golf R, S5 Sportback, and the 430i. I have a need for a backseat with the ability to handle car seats (which the ITS does) but also the ability to keep the kids happy. It's crazy because I have a Mazda 6 right now and it isn't as featureful as the ITS but some of this stuff is table stakes for new cars these days.
    Can't wait to see more content, Jonathon.

    • @Drive_Culture
      @Drive_Culture  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wow! Thanks for the comment and awesome feedback! All of the cars you’re cross shopping are really good. Like you said, it’ll just come down to your needs, and wants.
      The one thing that obviously stands out amongst those competitors, though, is the ITS styling and the six speed manual for those that don’t offer it. Of course there’s the extra utility with the hatch and the ability to fit your kids in the back as well.
      Definitely keep me posted on what you decide to buy. I’m also happy to try to review some of those other cars on the channel too!

    Love to hear you did the aftermarket ppf job and wrap. This car is definitely worth protecting and lasting for a long time. Waiting in line to get the next allocation hopefully in the spring/summer.

    • @Drive_Culture
      @Drive_Culture  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for the feedback! Yeah the wrap has been so awesome because it not only makes the car look better, protect it from stuff, but it also has a layer of ceramic coating on top, so cleaning the car is a breeze! I didn’t actually do any form of protection for the interior though.

    OK negatives first, murder all the chrome, I think that is the natural progression from what the factory gave us. OK now the neutral, maybe the front shirt could match the roof?
    Now the positives, the roof is very nice, the door handles are super cool, the satin and gloss wrap was a great idea and its looks distinctive. Overall I would say an A.
    I've got a Red Pearl ITS, maybe its the only one sold in TN. All chrome murdered - the smokey Type S badge is sick. I don't have to worry about being unique, or getting attention. I got it in Mid August and the next morning someone flags me down to tell me how cool my car I took it to the Tail of the Dragon three days after i bought it and people were taking pictures of it at the Deal's Gap Market. Thanks for bringing this car to market, its been fun owning it.

    Thank you from the bottom of my heart for putting together the ITS. instantly
    I still got to drive it a few hundred miles before storage and what people don't understand is that somehow this car is greater than the sum of it's parts. The spec sheet reads 6 speed manual but until you shift it with your own hands, there's no poet in the world who could accurately convey the magic of rowing through the gears in this car.
    If this Acura is as reliable and good to me as my past two Hondas (6th Gen Civic LX and 9th Gen Civic Si), which have easily and cheaply ran past 10 year each, I look forward to the joys of owning the ITS for many years to come.

      @@Drive_Culture Lunar Silver Metallic. I mean every color is nice but the name "Lunar Silver" has meaning to me and it's also an homage to the original Vogue Silver Civic that started my appreciation for the brand.
      It's in storage because up here I feel there's sometimes more salt than snow on the roads and come early spring, potholes are more like swimming pools. Getting it so late in the year, I wanted to enjoy at least one summer with the car being showroom clean. Sadly it has another 2-ish month of hibernation but after that, the miles will be accumulated and I'm sure every single one will be with a giant smile on my face.
      Last thing and this is just my opinion, I see too many people complain online where's the SH-AWD. I for one do not think it is needed and appreciate the weight savings and mechanical simplicity the FWD affords. I would hope these people would instead look to the TLX platform if they want the convenience of AWD and not pester Acura to change the car that is the winner of the Performance Car of the Year under $100k.

    • @Steve-O_FPV
      @Steve-O_FPV 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What was the difference between the older Hondas you had and this one? TURBO. That will be Hondas downfall for this car on reliability.

    • @DriverBob14
      @DriverBob14 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Steve-O_FPV The turbo definitely complicates things but I truly believe it's because people don't properly take care of their cars. For example I knew someone who didn't even know their car had a turbo (a German brand), so how could they drive it accordingly. Frequent oil changes and letting the turbo cool down by cruising gently the last 2-5 minutes of the drive, among other little things, goes a long way to keep it in tip top shape. Plus tuners have probably created every combination of turbo'd K20/K24 reliably with massive power, so I don't see why Honda couldn't do it from the factory.
      Time will tell and I am not so brand loyal as to get burned by them and still run back for my next car. They have earned my business so far and will need to keep earning future business.
      As for the differences, the naturally aspirated K24 with a Cat back Q400 exhaust definitely sounds better overall but the ITS burbles are fun in their own way. Compared to 99% of other cars, the throttle response on the ITS is instantaneous,however compared to the Si, there's a split second lag you can feel. Past that initial split second the ITS feels like a rocket ship compared to the Si. If I had to keep only one car it would be the ITS but I was lucky enough to get to keep both and they each provide their own benefits.

    I would like to get your honest opinion. Based on your analysis and fair market value, how much does a used Integra Type S with 80 miles cost ? Would $52,595 with installed front PPF and ceramic a good deal?

    • @Drive_Culture
      @Drive_Culture  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Absolutely! First, thanks for the comment! Second, I would say that’s a pretty good deal. The cost to PPF the front of the car is around $1,500 and another $500 for ceramic coating on the car. 80 miles isn’t a lot either, so you’re basically getting it at MSRP with the PPF, etc. If it’s the color you’re looking for… I’d say pull the trigger!

    Hello again, have a bit of news for you. I have just been informed that my ITS clutch is toast and will require a full rebuild, at 6500 miles. The cost to me will be $3600. I have appealed to Acura. I drove this car as it was advertised and now I must pay without warantee coverage, after 6500 miles. What would you do?

    • @Drive_Culture
      @Drive_Culture  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the comment and information. Just for transparency, this channel is not an avenue to Acura and I’m not representing the company here. With that said, as an owner / user, I’ve never heard of an ITS or CTR clutch going out with such low mileage. If you take it to the service bay at an Acura dealership, they should be able to pull data and find out what was the RPM, etc when things went bad. Hopefully nothing indicates it was user error, cause then you will probably be held liable. If you haven’t done that already, I would ask to get as much data from the vehicle as possible.

    Nice Dynamically. But still overpriced and a poor value proposition despite the if you fact if you can afford it. If you were alluding to the golf R as the four whee competition it is brilliant, though admittedly may be not as dynamic, but has its own virtues and when the weather takes a turn has the advantage. Don’t always drive in perfect conditions nor does everyone live in sunny California!! In addition the Golf R has substantially more luxury amenities than does the premium brand Integra and hence as a daily more useful at a more reasonable price. Acura can’t just rest on the Integras name and performance cache … need to add the extra luxury amenities AKA TLX if wish to charge as much as you do, if VW can do it!! IMHO

      Thanks for the comment and feedback! Love the passion too. Golf R is a good car for sure, but the manual isn’t as good as the ITS and it’s definitely not as fun to drive. Golf R is definitely faster 0-60 though especially with DCT / launch control & will tackle the winters like a champ. So with that, of course, you have to buy what’s best for you! The ITS was the clear choice for me 👍🏾

    Copper wheels are ugly, no sunroof is a tragedy. Red seats look shite and gaudy. Big ugly black plastic all over the front end. Interior looks like it was stolen from a civic. The chain link fence AC vents are pathetic, same as Civic, chain link fence belongs on an old house. The pedals are cheap looking compared to the older pedals that Honda was putting in the older Civic Sis. There's a big ugly touch screen sticking up in the middle of the dash, looks like an after thought. No armrest in the back is just being cheap. WAY OVER PRICED, only an idiot would pay that much for the name Integra written on a Civic. Turbo destroys engines so much faster. PASS!!!
