Wow! Thanks for the comment & feedback! You are one lucky person indeed! They actually only made 50 in Gotham Grey, so yours is even more rare!! Let us know if there’s any other cars you’d like to see on the channel! 👍🏾
definitely one of, if not the most, underrated supercar in current times. it always seems to me like any haters of the NC1 are also people that have never driven one before... kinda reminds me how the NA1/2 were back in the day - only the people who never drove it and understood the driving of it always had the most sh*t to say about the car lol.
Thanks for the comment & feedback! Couldn’t agree more! I firmly believe that as we continue to move towards hybrid & electrified powertrains… people will look back more fondly of the NC1! 👍🏾
I have one and they drive amazing, nice quiet and subtle when you are just cruising, but turns into an animal when you put the throttle down! Anyone who hates on them has clearly never driven one.
Thanks for the comment & feedback! Always love hearing from actual owners with experience! I completely agree with your opinion too! If you don’t mind sharing, what year NC1 and what color combo do you have?
Bravo! Excellent video. Engaging content. Marvelous narration (well-written, articulate, superb delivery). Decided to become a "New Subscriber" based on this episode alone. I'm looking forward to more great material to come. Kudos and compliments to you, Johnathan Rivers.
Wow! Thanks a lot for the nice comment & feedback! This makes me happy because my content is just done “on the fly” no pre-written script and usually done in just one take! Thanks again for subscribing! 👍🏾
Definitely not beating a turbo S or getting close to it in a race. Maybe a better daily though because of the hybrid system, but will never beat it in a race.
great review and very insightful with the info relayed in the review, those that don't know abut he nsx will be more informed as to the tech and how like the original nsx it was ahead of its time . being a fan myself I am fortunate to own casino witite with red combo interior like the one in your review ( not type s I could not secure one at the time of release ) but it is a 17 with every option allowed so it has the all the carbon goodies , added after market exhaust and downpipes ( wakes up all aspects ) , also my own carbon fiber badges and I also own an orig Grand Prix white low mileage (40k) 1993 that I I am embarrassed to admit a garage queen . so I. am true fan and understand what each car brought to market at time of release . love. your review and continued success
Wow! Thanks a lot for the nice comment & super detailed feedback! You are indeed a lucky man to own both generations of NSX! Great color combos for both too! Let us know if there’s any other cars you’d like to see reviewed on the channel, hope you come back for more content!
Where it really shines is a couple of simple modifications. At 700hp it’s perfect and very usable and balanced. You will need wider tires in the rear though. In my opinion this was a base for a good tuner car.
Thanks for the comment! As someone who went to the annual NSXPO, I can tell you a lot of owners may agree as there were a lot of modified NC1s there! Do you own one yourself? I also have a video on NA1 if you haven’t watched that already! Hope you subscribe to come back for more!
It's a fantastic car. Acura seems to have a problem reading their customers, though? It's technology and weight, seemed to work against it in the popularity game. Plus, it lacked sound! Any car that looks as good as this, has to have sound! The Type S sounds good, but the standard NSX had no sound!
Thanks for the comment & feedback! I wouldn’t say the NC1 didn’t have any sound, but it definitely was tuned to be a little more aggressive for Type S! I think it sounds good at the higher end of the rev band, but I hear you… more exhaust is always welcomed!
Worst thing about this car is literally the infotainment, if they actually TRIED to make a good one or even just get qn after market, that would have been fine
This car has become a halo car and unaffordable. For a attainable Honda the Prelude may come the semi affordable that the public might dream of attaining. Honda has to design cars for public with a decent probability of affording. The car companies that give the best bang for the dollar will be one to survive. That does not mean ridiculous speed. A good peppy engine that is quality made . There are very few of this type. Speed at which a car does not mean the same as in the past when cars could get to 100 miles per hour. A car that can go 150, 200, or more is insane for crowded roads
Thanks for the comment & detailed feedback! Yes, you’re right, the NSX has always been a halo and unaffordable for most! Currently cars like the Civic Si & Type R offer a lot of the “bang for the dollar” that you were mentioning though. We have reviews up for both of those cars if you haven’t watched them already!
Thanks for the comment! NA1 NSX was heralded right out of the gate, but yes, people became more fond of it overtime! Which, I believe, will also happen to NC1 NSX!
@@Drive_Culture the car on 80% of the video and you on the lasts 20%. but who knows how to take criticism these days, huh? It's all about sensitive egos... fuck that!
Anyone who hates this car is a complete fool and probably a Tesla cyber truck Elon Musk fan boy. You should be upset with how much tax payer money our government gave to Elon Musk to develop Tesla. You should be real concerned about that.
Thanks for the comment! There was a lot more strong opinions when the car first launched, but I feel like it’s much more positive now that the Type S production has ended!
Thanks for the comment & feedback! Interesting perspective there! When the NSX launched, it was the only powertrain of its kind for less than a million dollars! Now Ferrari, McLaren and even Corvette use similar setups! So, yes, being first can come at a price… that being people aren’t even sure what it is! Hope you subscribe to come back for more!
25:57 the official speed limit for EV mode is 55 mph. Below that, it's more torque-demand based - if you're heavy on the throttle the engine will kick on sooner. 27:13 like that. I have this entire idea for a comprehensive "Honda and Acura Classics Official Video Game" featuring this car (and a lot of the other Honda and Acura icons) modelled down to the finest nuance of handling and functionality (including detailed operational modelling of hybrid systems, driving modes, and transmissions) - it would have been nice to see a picture-in-picture of the gauge cluster during the drive portion so I could see what was going on. Currently scouring the Internet for Honda/Acura hybrid reviews trying to get an idea of how these systems work and under what conditions they make different decisions.
Thanks a lot for the comment & super detailed feedback! Thanks for coming to the channel to watch our different reviews! Let us know if there’s other cars you’d like to see here on the channel! I’ll remember to try and capture the gauge cluster content going forward! Hope you come back for more content!
And this is the reason why i bought 81 of 350 in Gotham Metallic Grey. These have appreciated a lot in value already. I had to drop $275k for mine.

Yes if I wanted a Super Car it would be NSX, For sure. 🇺🇸👍
Thanks for the comment & feedback! I couldn’t agree more! 👍🏾
Thanks!
You’re the best! Thanks always! 🙌🏾
Definitely agree it's underrated. Both the NA1 and NC1 have timeless designs.
Thanks for the comment & feedback! Yep, it’ll definitely go down as one of the greats!
that car is stunning. i saw one in person and was floored.
Thanks for the comment & feedback! Totally agree with you! What color was the one you saw? Hopefully you subscribed to come back for more!
That Type S NSX with 600hp is slept. It's very close to a Porsche 911 Turbo S performance wise.
Thanks for the comment & feedback! Yep, you pretty much nailed it on the head!
Definitely not beating a turbo S or getting close to it in a race. Maybe a better daily though because of the hybrid system, but will never beat it in a race.
Underrated TH-camr, too! 🤫
Wow! Thanks a lot for the kind comment! 🥹
I miss having to drive my NA1 ‘96. Owning it for 10 yrs and it’s been 7 yrs now without it. Happy wife, happy life..
Thanks for the comment & feedback! Yeah that is a sweet ride indeed! Let us know if we should do a “retro” review on the NA1!

Now half of these super cars are using electric motors too.

AMAZING!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for the comment! Yessir! Looks and drives AMAZING! 🔥
Awesome car!!! Most underrated definitely! Now Acura should revamp the TLX type S and put this powertrain in it.
