For me personally as a kid growing up we never had ac and learned the only important part of the climate system was the heater. If it's hot just roll the windows down. That's just my view on it. I get some people view it more as a necessity then a luxury
@@misplacedgarage yeah absolutely. I'm struggling with the ac delete in my 1996 k1500 mainly due to the fact I have to rip out the dash to take out the lines. Im trashing the whole system just to get rid of the extra weight and crap I don't really need although I do have a question if you know anything about the heat system? My truck has been weird with it to where it blows heat for about 25 minutes and then starts to lose air pressure. You can feel the heat wave coming through the vents but no actually air pressure with it. Ive been doing research on it for weeks now and can't seem to find anything on how to fix it
@@Thatdieselguy5 Sorry for the late response. Thats an interesting one. Sounds like a resistor or blower motor issue. Perhaps one of the two gets thermal failure. Does it only do that with heat on? See if it does it just blowing cool air, not AC.
Im just here to figure out why the last owner deleted the entire heat/ac/defrost in my g body. He deleted anything he could get a wrench on. Then put a 150hp 307 in it.
my a/c ran perfectly fine before my engine blew. I noticed the new engine didn't have an a/c compressor so I decided the best logical option was to delete it. along with the power steering.
Got my Vauxhall since 5 years with an worn a/c compressor, so while i was cleaning the intercooler i decided to remove the condenser to let my intercooler Breath a low bit ! 😷
i will to that to my 87 fiero , for the same reeasons . better cooling weight savings more room and maybe put in a built in air compressor for shits and giggles
i agree with you if it's a race car, but for a street car that you take your girl out in or kids or just cruising, AC is important
I can totally agree with that!

@@Thatdieselguy5 I have the same view as you. Its not needed. It may be nice in a daily, but not needed in a track car.

😂😂😂
thats just unlucky
LMFAO, reliability mang!!!
#1 reason it broke and I'm broke!
That's why I'm doing it😂

Dope my dads 69 fury doesn’t have ac and the clutch started smoking recently so just thought about doing a delete and You convinced me
what did you do with the loose connectors that connected to the ac and the condenser?
I tried to remove it but it looks like it is a difficult task, hidden bolts. I just cut the drive belt for less work on the engine
If I delete the ac could I still have it so hot air blows out the vents to defrost windows, tryna turbo my d16z6
The last one is definitely me 😂 AC has been broke on my volvo and its been a hot summer
Why you not deleted the smog pump
I hardly use my aircon in the summer, and the heater doesn't work properly. Might pull it out. If I can be bothered.

can you bypass on any vehicle?
For the most part you should be able to.
@@misplacedgarage if you get a pulley to put in c compressors place

what cobra chin spoiler do you have?
and if so can you refer a link? i know the fiberglass specialties one, but it doesn’t look like this
It’s actually one from a GT that I modified to fit! I believe the brand is speedform, should be on Americanmuscle or LMR if they aren’t discontinued.
Just took my new to me car to get re gassed to find out it’s missing a couple ac pipes 😅
Im getting rid of my ac on my 89gt it doesnt work and I wanna squeeze out as much power as possible!
Right on! No reason to keep it if it doesn’t work and you don’t want it anyway.
Biggest weight loss you can do is drop that crap Ford motor and put a 5.3-6.0 chevy motor with a 4l85e guess what problem solved lol
Just delete your seats instead alot easier to put back in.
some cars though need to install a cross bar or w.e its called to keep the car rigid in the back w/o em.
Watching this because my AC wont shut off 😂 i just bought a c4 guess you can say im not clicking anymore buttons
Dang, that’s an odd problem to have lol. Best of luck with the new vette!
Mine's gone, obviously referring to my AC unit. Good video.
Thank you!
Reason 1: you don’t live in Florida
I do lol
Reason 2: You live in Mexicali, B.C.

#6 it's never worked. Lol
