I love how Ongbal makes sure to enjoy Morgott's boss fight as much as possible by fighting him with mostly +0 weapon stats. And the way he played the flute for Morgott at the end.

Kind hard to do with a build centered around 2H guard countering though. Since you need as much as guard boost as possible.
Even at ng+7 with standard infusion he just dies too fast. Same with Radahn.
This games scaling is absurd.

@@ni9274 yeah, although I acknowledge all modders who has dedicate their time into creating content for others. Some are just better than others. Garden of eyes just copy and pastes shit from other games and just reskins most things. Mods like convergence adds so much stuff that feels fresh with a lot of in depth mechanics and progression so it feels like you're playing the game again for the first time
Clever’s mods aren’t just some flashy movesets but contains actual strategies behind them.
There’s meaning in his modded combat, not just random bullshit go.
At this point i'm just waiting for him to make a Frank Richards moveset, which will allow me to bend reality ingame however i want.
Clever is a fricking *Legend* and i just know if he wanted to he could make exactly that. o7

By the way, the flute was cherry on top. Playing a dirge for your opponent right after you defeat him must be the most chivalrous and romantic thing ever. It is Quite fitting when the opponent is tragic being, such as Morgott here.

There's three other mods that work towards that. Posture bar mod, A Sekiro-like deflect mod for 2H and Dual weapons, and Hotbite's Sekiro Arts.
@@goffman2661if only someone would polish sekiro arts. I feel cleverraptor just adds enough Sekiro flair with his mods. Heaven Splitter for example being one of his best, right next to Tachikaze. We need more modders with this level of talent and polish

Poor Morgott. Even when he poses as the hidden king of Leyndell, he doesn't change out of the his rag into some formal attire befitting a demi-god or a prince of the Golden Lineage. He even says the throne is tainted by his curse, hinted his being born as an Omen. He is completely opposite to Mogh whose ambition is to become Elden Lord, as he feels he is undeserved to be accepted by Golden Order, but still loves it and sacrifices himself to protect it nonetheless. His entire moveset based on holy magics and his theme really show it.
And in death, his horns vanish.

Honestly clevers mods are exactlt what Elden ring needs. Well crafted movesets with satisfying balance in rule of cool and challenge.

Hopefully the next souls game they'd combine all three game mechanics into one, souls+sekiro+elden ring. That'd be epic

@@Anhjje jumping is in Sekiro and was more utilized in that game than in elden ring, horse combat is lacking in so many ways I don't even use horses in boss fights anymore they suck

@@lordofcinder8884 There is one that I can think of, it's the guard counter attack. I feel that it's a very underrated game mechanic of Elden Ring, I only used it in 5% of the game with the starter shield.
But the thing that really stood out in Elden Ring for me is how proactive and flexible the boss AIs are. The way Margit strings his attacks the first time I encountered him was absolutely mind blowing for me.
I think the movesets of bosses in Elden Ring is where it excels over the others. Hopefully they'll top this one on the next installment.

That's the most silly statement ever, the guy got more openings than I can count, most them just require you to circulate around him a little and boom 3 hit opening and then dies in less than 2 minutes , what exactly do they want
If they think this morgott is bad they should see the overhaul mod version That's something else

hey ongbal you should download this mod for elden ring its called 'Sekiro Deflection and Dodge'. it was released in october and it literally adds sekiro deflection and replaces the rolling with the dash animations from sekiro

i see sekiro movesets. one mind in particular. Youre too good.
Yeah, the ones I see from Sekiro is Sekiro's Ashina Cross and Isshin's Ashina Cross.
There's also Dark Souls 3 movesets in there, the unsheathe parry of katana, then the weapon art of the Frayed Blade with the quick slashes.

I love ur channel. I also advice you to play god of war ragnarok. The boss quality kinda is lower than souls games but the combat combo's is awesome. Aswell one of the toughest boss gna on + game (+ game adds even more mechanics)

By time you actually fight Morgott and have at least 1 Great Runes you actually probably should be able to parry his with that much force. Especially if you have Renala’s, General Rahdan’s, and Raykard’s like I did lol (I know I spelled the names wrong lol). You should be considerably more powerful then the game makes you feel lore wise
