Bike packing mate of mine said - ‘don’t go looking for adventure then complain when you find it!’ Loved your riding thru the rain. I remember that storm!!!
Thank you.. It inspire me when I will come back next year in NZ. .. I have been doing 10,000 kms bikepacking overseas since 2020. It will be great to rediscover home.
My university roommate lived in New Zealand after graduation(we're Americans), he is now divorced and I am working on convincing him to go back and explore with me! I have never been. Wonderful Video, thanks!
You should do it Ryan! Either this or the Tour Aotearoa is a great way to see a few parts of the country if you like cycling. Probably the Tour is better as you get all the South Island as well
I'm actually having some chemotherapy at present and had a rough 24hrs. Your vid helped me focus on the beauty of this gorgeous land of ours. You're doing more goid than you know 😉
@@mikecopeland933 wow Mike I’m honoured to provide even a little bit of help. Stay strong mate your mindset is super important, stay focused on the positives!
Awesome work chaps and a great vid! I met you guys at the east cape campground. The guy with the Surly midnight special. Slowly putting my own vid together too :)
@@pedallingsquaresNZ I was wondering where you might have sourced it from - really well done. I've had a look at a few of your other videos too and great music all round!
Awesome great to you have you! Plenty more adventures to come. The byways constantly surprise me with what they can handle! No issues with grip at all and roll fast 💨
Awesome video and trip! I am looking to do this in 2022. What gearing did you use or recommend? I will be using gravel bike with GRX 810 11spd double 48/31 with 11-34t cassette. Would this be adequate or should I bump up to 11-40t? I am fairly fit and on track to do 10k km's this year. Cheers.
Hey I ran 34 to 34 as my easiest gear and was fine for the vast majority of it. Had to push for parts of the reverse timber trail. Think it also depends how heavy the set up is as to how much of a granny gear you’ll need. You’ll probably be fine 👍
Very beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
Very beautiful! Thanks for watching
Thanks well filmed and edited
Bucket list ride
