As a man I love to shop the masculine stuff in the ladies section. It is so much more refined: shorts are shorter, even cargo pants for girls look good, the blouses are way more fun, sleeves are shorter, the chest-waist relation is better, undies are non-obtrusive and female boy-shorts stay inside your shorts instead of peeping out.
Never have I ever been more grateful for my small chest - haven't worn a bra in over a year at this point.
Same! Realized a few years ago that bras were triggering some dysphoria and since I don’t need to wear them I just stopped and never looked back!
Still some useful things to remember, especially about sizing :)
Used to be so insecure about mine when I was younger, but now I'm grateful for how easy it is too dress androgynously. Still wish I had Jade's style though, she always looks so 🔥🔥

Mens clothes do feel like 1 big box. I found myself going into the "young mens section" and felt like I was playing dress up :/

I'm a closeted trans guy, and my mom always insists on shopping for clothes with me because she wants to see what I'm using her money on. because of that I go to the women section as to stay closeted. I'm trying to start my transition right now and because of that this video is literally like my BIBLE lol I have come back to it so many times it is so helpful. thank you for this video ❤

I also think Uniqlo is great for boxy fits too. The sizing runs large and it’s pretty affordable. I love their tops. And the men’s tops are surprisingly fitting too. For reference I’m 5’2 with a larger chest too
Super late but I’ve had a pretty good time just sizing down (s -> xs) and being able to find good shirts, blessings to uniqlo for having men’s xs sizing
As a plus-sized person with a J-cup chest who tries to dress masc, this video is so much that i needed. I realized I was already subconsciously doing some of the tips, but it's really helpful to have the words to describe what I'm looking for. Fantastic, looking forward to more!
My big tip is that if you have the big chest protrusions like I do and you like to wear sleeveless shirts (like I do), learn how to sew a dart. It will get rid of those weird chicken wing folds in the sleeveholes that comes from sizing up for the chest room.

@@zucchinigreen i go through a couple local retailers who sell Goddess, Freya, and other brands that carry the bigger sizes! You should be able to buy them online as well, but then returning can be a hassle.
As someone cursed with a curvy body, thank you!!! I've tried shopping in the men's section but always find my hips getting in the way of pants/ formal shirts I like but now I feel like the next time I need clothes it won't be so daunting! Thank you so much for all the tips!!

Over the past few years I've also found that the women's sections in a lot of stores actually do have quite a few 'androgynous' looking and fitting pieces. Praises be.
I’m so happy you started this channel. My style is definitely transitioning into what I’ve always felt comfortable in which is not “traditional feminine” clothes. Also most of the points you made, I agree 1000% and have come across. Lol the sports bra thing is real. A bra will ruin a whole damn outfit!😂
I have a non-supporting family but they don't know that I am genderfluid, Most of my clothing is feminine clothing and I tried to dress muscular with it by wearing baggy sweatpants and big shirts but I am confused because I don't have a lot of muscular clothing and need some tips. THANK YOU as someone with a bigger chest it can be a serious hassle finding anything masc/neutral that actually works with my body. I fell into the "masc clothing... Mens section?" Kind of thinking, hadn't really been sure how to find options that work in women's. This helps so much ❤️
I loooove this channel! Can you do a video on jackets/coats for short people, with a masc style? That would help loads, cause I don’t know whether to go for a longer coat or a shorter coat, without looking like either a marshmellow or 3” tall

I have a small chest (32C US size) and prefer bralettes to sports bras. The straps are usually thinner so that gives me a more shirt options.

Oh my god I am so happy I found this video. THANK YOU for making it! My clothing style is very masculine but my body definitely isn't. It's a struggle lol men's shirts are always way too tight on my hips and boobs, and men's jeans are completely out of the question.

Minimizer bras are really helpful too. They give a lower profile and that helps with any button up.

Literally came back to this video because I was tempted to buy a men’s white t-shirt and was like what would jade do
I identify as gender fluid and I recently read my first LGBTQ+ Community book because I never could feel like I could be open about myself to others even if it was just reading a book but the book made me realize that I don't really have to hide I'm currently in a oversized hoodie initially intended for men and a beanie to cover my longer hair because my mother is currently not home so I decided lets be a queer as I can be untill she comes back.

I have a trip planned in which I'm going to visit my very accepting aunt (first person in my family I came out to) and she says there were a couple of stores near her house she wants to take me to. So maybe I can shop in a way that is more me so that more days when I'm home alone I can be open about myself and that eventually I can be confident enough to even dress out like this

One of my favourite shirts fit wise is from Reitmans, and it's a short sleeved plaid shirt that's a little thinner fabric, but it doesn't go in at the sides, it has seams down the front like the front is 4 panels not just two, and that seam makes a huge difference! I've seen mens shirts with stuff like that too, so for me, it's one of my favourite fits. It's so hard to find though, like I can't wear men's shirts because my chest (only a C cup, but still makes a difference) and most women's shirts are too narrow in the shoulders. I'm still looking for some good pants that aren't just sweatpants.

From what I calculated from the help of reddit, Im a size 30D or 32C/D in bra size. I'm glad its not that big but I would love to get more loose clothing for myself and this will surely help out! Especially if you don't want to be seen as suspicious for getting a few clothing from the men side of the clothing section anyways.
Also I hate fitted clothing in general I do like the men style shirts better.

Late to comment, but this is the advice I've been looking for. Shopping as a plus size, big breasted person is so hard. Being non-binary and wanting a more androgynous/masc look makes that even harder. SO HELPFUL

Im small chested (A cup) a medium sports bra will keep it all in place if i wear baggy hoodies its done it looks like i have none at al this video makes me thankful im small chested but my tights and ass are a whole another story i do like the high neck rule with wearing sports bra’s
I am so glad this popped up on yt home page! I've been trying to find sports bra's (like the calvin klein cotton unlined wireless bralette ones) and I cannot find them in any store (at least where I live)! My mom said to look at a Wal-mart but I'm afraid they'll be the women's cleavage showing, thin strap bra's and I can't stand those (I bought one ((way before I came out as trans/nonbinary he/they online) and that bra made my back feel weird (they definitely weren't cotton. :\))
OOo okay so, I volunteered at a women's clothing thrift shop last year (I still wanna say this year, I still can't believe its 2024 😅) and for the past two visits I've gotten clothes that are more masculine/gender neutral and I absolutely love them!
I'm currently looking at boyfriend jeans and Levi's seems to be my brand (I got a few Levi's boxers and men's tanktops and they are freakin comfy!) So, I'm definitely gonna check those out!

Sometimes, cupless, wireless bras ("bralette" type) are a great way to avoid the uniboob. They can provide a great deal of support, squish things down, and they don't show through the middle of the shirt like sports bras do (they just have less fabric). It is hard to find good ones though!
Organic basics has various, high quality models which I really recommend.

Duuude I needed these tips! As a curvy tomboy it’s hard finding jeans that doesn’t appear girly. I definitely can’t wear guy jeans. It’s enough I have a feminine face. My style that I love definitely took some time to finally look good. I’ll try again with finding the perfect jeans.
