Sometimes family members can seem okay until you realize that they have gossiped about you, manipulated your emotions, or refuses to meet you halfway and only on their terms. These kind of family members are detrimental to the family relationship.
To learn more about emotional blackmail, see my older video here: th-cam.com/video/szDUZlAm3cM/w-d-xo.html.

😯😯😯 the e-mails have happened to me already!
Mybsister: " call mom today! She is browsing the obituaries, she doesn't believe you are ok".
    The fudgery is real!

Thank you for shining light on this issue!
It hurts so bad to be on the recieving end, and it angers me because the blackmailers/narcissists are trying to act like the literal victim. These are things that literal vicims often do to protect themselves and that I've personally done (such as going no contact, and writing long pages explaining so I won't get cut off verbally, though I never demanded them to reply quickly).
It makes me sad that psychologists can sometimes be tricked into trying to figure out who the emotional manipulator is after trying so hard to be seen. It's so evil.
It's hard to process and accept, but it is necessary for heling. This is a hard reality to face that certain family members can be this terrible, but I choose to no longer be controlled by their FOG - Fear, Obligation, and Guilt any longer! ❤

Tamara thank you so much for always bringing clarity and healing to us. I've seen this wicked behavior before. Empaths are often injured by these people.

You're welcome and thank you for these kind words!
It sounds like you have experience in this. They are evil and it's hard to believe when you first see it.

Yes I had this experience with my stepmother why didn't I see it you know all the signs that you fall into the same trap. At first my step mom seem to be okay she'd ask me questions I'd give her answers she asked me personal questions nope I wouldn't answer I didn't know her then I see her when I go on vacation which I don't go there anymore because I've cut her out of my life completely because last time I went down there she tried to use my answers against me and tried to get information from me and at that time I knew I never answered her and I sent her an email saying that you don't have to worry about me cuz I'm not going to be staying with you I'm not going to be talking to you. But yeah they do suck you in even though you know the signs and it hurts

Thank you so much Tamara. You have totally described my mother and siblings. I also have 2 children just like this. My mother is constantly turning them and other family members against me. I'm battling cancer for the second time and I have none of them to lean on. I've been hospitalized more than four times this year and they still don't believe I'm sick! I've walked away so many times, but then I'm manipulated to come back. It's to the point that I question why was I placed in this family. I need help! My health is declining and I am stressed out. These videos are so helpful. God bless you.

You're welcome😊And thank you! Very glad this video was helpful. God bless you too! I'm sorry to hear that you are in the fight of cancer. That's a tough battle and I admire anyone going through that. Hopefully your family (or perhaps someone) will wake up and see that you need their support, not their disregarding behavior. Praying for your peace.

thank you for explaining this topic in great detail, had to get therapy because I was in shock that I was being blackmailed by a family member... I had an idea that this was what it was but couldn't fully put my finger on it. She didn't speak to me for years and all of a sudden called to ask for me and demanded to hear from me to tell me that her mother was "harming the both of us" that her mother tried "sacrificing her soul to the devil" and that she wished her mom was dead. It was quite frightening.

You're welcome! And I'm sorry to hear this. We often don't know what is happening to us when it is happening. Later, once we do learn about it, we realize the tactics that are used (unintentionally or intentionally) are harmful to say the least. That's when we have to make up our mind on what our next steps with this person should be.

Sounds like you are fully aware of the real issue at heart here -- especially by realizing the "unequally yoked" truth. I like that. I agree.

Oh Tamara you are great, after watching this video I feel better about what I did with my family. My dad got remarried and all of a sudden my entire family turns against me so thank you I don't even talk to them I won't stay with them I won't see them on vacations they hurt me deeply and they know that and I guess that's maybe what they wanted but that's okay because they are out of my mind and taking up no space in my brain now

I'm praying you gain peace as you move along this journey without your family. It's tough and it's always the last resort we don't want to willingly take. But if your family isn't treating you well -- and you need to keep your sanity -- walking away is sometimes the only remedy.

So how does one extricate themselves without looking like the blackmailer as you described it? My adult daughter has already been triangulated by my mother. I'm feeling at a loss. No one else in the family is self aware or can see the manipulation as it's pretty much the whole family dynamic. Is this just a situation where you remove yourself and keep your mouth shut even to adult children? It's crazy making.
